Overall the care was very good, the staff were attentive, caring , knowledgeable and wanted to assist where they could. The nurses who cared for me - daytime Sandra and night time Kathleen- were very helpful at all times. The theatre team was very caring, keeping me informed at all times. They also listened and acted upon when I was in pain and assisted with some pain relief. Dr Nicol was /is expectational. He came to explain one more time of the procedure and what would be performed prior the surgery, he even gave me a phone a couple of days after the surgery as I was very sore and assured it to be normal. I think that definitely helped my outlook and ever since I am more positive to get better. If I need to mention anything to improve- the only thing that comes to mind would be an ability to reach someone on phone when calling the main Hospital. I often had to wait for prolonged periods of time to get someone to answer and occasionally when I was promised for a call back, it never materialized. I felt I was a bit chasing. However, in the scale of things and how all panned out, I still think it is a minor and I no longer care. As soon as I am brave enough I am returning back to the same Hospital for the 2nd round of the treatment as I consider this is a good place to receive treatments. Efficient, well run , helpful. There is little more I can ask for.

I found my consultant and all staff amazing informative and helpful throughout my procedure and over night stay. My only negative about my stay is my room was very tired looking. Marks on the floor, dirt under the bed, scuffs on the paint work, bathroom door needed varnished. Windows frames were damp with peeling paint. I expected more.

As someone who has never had surgery before the guys at Kings Park Hospital put me at ease right away. From the moment Emma met me to show me to my room Emma calmed me down. Hannah looked after me also and continued the great care keeping me at ease at all times right through to walking me to theatre and then the after care. The surgeon and anaesthetist both visited me prior to the op and again explained everything and had me in good spirits going into the op which for someone who was terrified of this day they done exceptionally well. Walking into the theatre everyone was so nice and helped ease my fears. The whole team who looked after me deserve a mention but there were so many. I wouldn't have any hesitation using Kings Park Hospital again should the need arise and would definitley reccomend them. Great service, great team keep up the excellent work. And the foods great too!
