Olomouc University Hospital is one of the largest inpatient facilities in the Czech Republic. It is part of a network of nine faculty hospitals directly managed by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. It is the largest medical facility in the Olomouc region and the sixth largest hospital in the country. The history of the second largest employer in the Olomouc region dates back to 1896.Medical facilities continue to be gradually modernized, both in terms of construction and equipment. In 2010, a new building for a top diagnostic PET/CT (positron emission tomography / computed tomography) facility was opened, and in 2015, a new institutional pharmacy. In 2018, the new building II was completed. internal clinics - gastroenterological and geriatric, which is the largest investment in the last ten years. In 2009, we received national accreditation, which confirms that we provide our patients with top-quality, high-quality and, above all, safe care.Olomouc University Hospital is a top center in many fields of contemporary medicine. It also plays a significant role in the field of science and research and the education of future health professionals. The hospital is part of a national network of comprehensive oncology, hemato-oncology, trauma, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular centers.

Doctors are mostly great (those I have met), some places are good, but some are old and strange. Sometimes I feel like I'm in some horror movie. Those old buildings really need renovation.

The emergency is completely useless, they made me wait for hours and then they barely even examined me, despite a blood analysis they managed to gave me a false diagnosis (they gave me antibiotics for a virus), therefore I was left in the same horrible pain as I arrived with. They didn't even give me a pain killer at least. Disappointing.

Very efficient. Arrive and take a ticket then wait to be called. They take your details and then you are seen according to your needs. English is spoken.
