Cutting-edge medicine with a heart The Rostock University Medical Center is the maximum care provider for the region. In contrast to other parts of the state in MV or regions in the Federal Republic, the demographic and economic signs point to future growth. We meet these requirements. With cutting-edge medicine from head to toe that can hold its own in international comparison. With modern technology and the latest treatment methods, we ensure the well-being of the people who put themselves in our hands every day of the year. University medicine is a maximum care provider. This means that we offer the entire range of therapies for our patients. In research, scientists from our company achieve results that are recognized worldwide. We also score top marks in teaching, so that more and more students are looking for a way to Rostock. Practical instruction in small groups is standard, as is training in innovative subjects such as the new medical biotechnology course. The Rostock University Medical Center is a facility in transition. The historical structure of the house means that our locations are spread all over the city. For several years we have been working intensively on centralizing our house and restricting it to a few locations. Extensive construction and conversion measures are necessary for this. The center of the university medicine is the campus Schillingallee, where the most important supply buildings are located. Other locations are the center for neurology in Gehlsdorf, the radiation clinic and the university women's clinic in Südstadt and the anatomy department in Gertrudenstraße. New buildings have already been built: The Perioperative Center (POZ) and the new clinic for neurology are highly modern and functional clinic buildings. The next major project is the takeover of the new building for central medical functions (ZMF) with central patient admission, stroke unit and helipad in the heart of the Schilling Campus. With this, the University Medicine Rostock opens a new chapter in its history.

My father was emergency admitted and operated in the General and Thoracic Department. All the staff ( from the nurses to the doctors) were really professional, friendly and kind. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Oerter, Prof. Schafmayer , Dr. Kamaleddine and all the nurses in the Intesivstatiaon and Station F for their care and great job. We will never forget Rostock University Hospital as you saved my dad's life. Thank you!!!! Wishing you to be healthy and keep this great team! Best Regards
