I tried for over an hour to get a park at the hospital last week after my 9yo daughter broke her arm in 2 places. The school didn't even give her pain relief before I scooped her up and rushed her into ED. What major hospital doesn't have parking? Especially ones that have just been revamped. When they were redesigning the place, why didn't the idiots add a rooftop or basement carpark? So, we have this beautiful hospital, but no one can get to it. Next time, I'm just going to call Ambo and blame the parking situation as the reason. My daughter was in agonising pain. It was an emergency, but she couldn't get to emergency.

I want to take a moment to share a positive review of my experience at Christchurch Hospital back in 2003. I underwent a spleen removal procedure, and I can't express enough how grateful I am for the care I received during my time there. From the very beginning, the medical staff at Christchurch Hospital exhibited professionalism and genuine compassion. The surgical team ensured that I understood the procedure and its implications thoroughly, addressing all of my concerns and questions with patience and kindness. Their willingness to take the time to ease my anxieties truly made a significant difference. The pre-operative and post-operative care I received was exceptional. The nurses were attentive, responsive, and supportive, guiding me through the process and ensuring my comfort at every step. It's worth noting that the hospital's facilities were well-maintained and organized, creating an environment that contributed positively to the overall experience. During my recovery, the medical team provided clear instructions and guidance, empowering me to take an active role in my healing process. They made sure that I felt informed about my condition and the necessary follow-up care, fostering a sense of confidence in the treatment plan. The kindness and empathy of the hospital staff extended beyond the medical aspects. They recognized the emotional and psychological impact of undergoing surgery and were sensitive to my emotional needs, creating a holistic approach to my recovery. Looking back, my experience at Christchurch Hospital in 2003 was truly remarkable. The medical care, professionalism, and compassion I encountered played a pivotal role in my healing journey. I am grateful to the entire team who contributed to my well-being during that time, and I hold nothing but admiration for their dedication and commitment to their patients' welfare.
