Our clinic has a multi-disciplinary team approach to providing care. Our staff consists of medical office assistants, registered nurses, physical therapists, athletic therapists, and occupational therapists. Alongside our experienced physicians, we work to provide a holistic approach to your musculoskeletal health. The Edmonton Bone and Joint Centre (EBJC) is a private, not-for-profit clinic. We partner with Alberta Health Services and the Alberta Bone and Joint Institute to provide both surgical and non-surgical care for patients with musculoskeletal issues. The Edmonton Bone and Joint Centre is continuously expanding services for our patients. Currently, we provide central intake and assessment for patients requiring hip and knee replacements, shoulder assessments, and foot and ankle assessments. The EBJC also assists in preparation for hip and knee replacement surgery and follow-up.

I am writing about Dr. Lee Ekert on behalf of my mother who had a knee replacement about 18 months ago. My mom is so happy. She has her life back as the surgery was amazing. Dr Ekert is professional, kind, and caring. He addressed all of my mom’s concerns at each appointment. Her knee is healing so well and she has nothing but good things to say about Dr Ekert. Thank you so very much.

I can't say enough words of thanks, appreciation, and gratitude to everyone involved at this clinic. Dr. Paul is one of the best doctors ( correction ... Dr. Paul IS the best doctor) I have ever had the privilege meeting. From the initial meeting ,to the expert surgery, the fantastic after care and on top of all that Dr. Paul and all the staff are kind, compassionate, caring, down to earth people. I'm turning 68 so i've seen my share of medical personel for equally serious medical needs over the years but have NEVER had this level of care anywhere. This is a class act all the way. Feel lucky if you get to be treated by this group of professionals one and all. From myself, my wife, my kids, and my Grandchildren, you gave me my life back in every way from shopping with the wife or playing with my grandchildren. You gave me back more than a knee. Thanks from the bottom of my heart Randy Cameron

My name is Lorne Allen of Edmonton, AB and It appears as though my total hip replacement has been potentially put on permanent hold because of a so-called "fail" on a sleep apnea test. Only problem with that is the test was carried out with only 3 out of 4 green lights on testing device - the last pipette would not lock in place in order to maintain a "closed" scientific setting - which left air spewing into the atmosphere and should have nullified the results. Additionally, when the reporting agent had me falling asleep 3.5 hours earlier than actual time (during which the sleep clinic obtained some of their best results??), I felt like the entire test was rigged! Further, I supposedly suffered some 47 "acute, severe apnea" results over a 9 hour sleep interval when in fact I cannot sleep more than 4.5 - 5 hours a night (testing night was from sometime after 12:30 AM to 5:15 AM at which time test was terminated) due to acute, severe pain in my right hip. groin, right leg and right buttock. Will the caring physician who referred me for this "fixed" test please explain to me how in GOD's green earth this could have happened and why, other than to make big bucks, a senior of 70 years was so maltreated?! Oh yeah, when the testing device was returned to sleep clinic, the receiving agent was informed of the green light problem (as at the time I was ready to repeat the test) whose only response was "oh. I'm sure they obtained enough to work with in order to assess you". Again, I ask you how they were able to diagnose me with a faulty testing unit?? And how dare they, at the same time as revealing by horrific test results, the same agent who reports my results, tries to sell me a CPAP unit only minutes after divulging this very improbable data. Shame and a pox on all those "professionals" who created my results!! Disillusioned!!
