About clinic

As a university hospital, the Inselspital occupies an important position in the Swiss healthcare system. We are a medical competence, high-technology and knowledge center with an international reputation and a meeting place for science and research. Our hospital, founded in 1354, is rooted in the population like no other company. As an important economic factor with high added value, we are very attractive on the healthcare market and our services are valued. Around 8,300 employees do their best every day in the "health city" Inselspital, so that around 44,000 inpatients receive the best possible medicine and individual care every year. We offer highly specialized, tertiary medical services - including transplantation medicine - with a pronounced interdisciplinary approach and high interpersonal care quality . As a learning organization, we constantly review our strategic corporate policy positions and principles - especially with regard to the changing health policy framework. We want to continue to guarantee high-quality services in medicine, teaching and research.

We had a highly unprofessional experience at Insel Spital. My partner was suffering from severe pain in their hands and feet due to insufficient blood flow, so we decided to go to the emergency room. Initially, things were not okay, and we were directed to the eye clinic for an eye examination. We waited there for a frustrating 4 to 5 hours, only to realize they had forgotten about us. What made matters worse was that they lied to us, claiming that the doctor had to attend to other emergency patients first, which we understood. However, when we asked the doctor why it took so long for us to be seen, they stated that we were not even on the waiting list. Throughout the 4 to 5 hours of waiting, my partner endured excruciating pain and shed many tears. This situation was completely unacceptable. When we confronted the staff about this issue, they neither apologized nor acknowledged their mistake. We have decided that we will never return to this hospital after such a terrible experience.

I am writing from my Hospital room before being discharged tomorrow. This the second time I have been admitted here for a week of treatment. The staff have been great. Friendly, attentive and informative as were the Doctors. Always explaining things not understood in lay terms and always available. The food, well it is an Hospital and not a Michelin Restaurant, so actually quite good. Thank you all for your care and attention.

A mother spent three days begging Help Island psychologists to help her child not commit her seventh suicide. A psychologist and a social worker. The meeting was prepared for three days. Twenty-first century, in the ambulance of the city of Bern, out of 140 thousand Russians and the same number of Russian speakers, but there was no interpreter for the appointment. The elite of the hospital, in the person of a highly paid psychologist and social worker, passed judgement; Listen, ...parents ; the mother should call the police! In truth, they pay 8,000 francs a month out of your taxes to the great healers of the land of Switzerland. There's a Russian saying "don't throw beads in front of pigs". Mother left in silence. The arrogant took it as a victory! A victory over a helpless, disabled woman. Arrogance is formed from the absence of everything else. Education, upbringing, having compassion, morals, responsibility, being helpful...) How does fascism spread? The chief said, you have to smash your forehead, but follow orders! Back in the emergency room, after five hours of being ignored, the mother was brought out a poster, A4 sheet format. It said in large letters, "We won't help you and the three-digit police phone number is 911. The leading psychologists of the hospital and here, showed their professionalism, big letters for a stupid Russian mother. These letters shout: "the doctor said to the morgue, so to the morgue". The mother, of course, was sick, but unlike the friendly staff of the Ostrovny Hospital, she could remember a seven-digit phone number. Where do these mothers get their strength? She brought the baby in. И? Refused!!! This is another story, how she managed to survive, get to the nearest town and finally get help. And what about the friendly staff of the Ostrovny Hospital? They found a clinic where they put a sick, tormented child, called and told them to get rid of him. What does the ambulance care about the clinic? How close, how united is the corporeal spirit, in the pleasure of mocking the Russian, sick mother. Friends, "The future is not for everyone. " Klaus Schwab Unite!
