Where to start . My son connor 10 years old had seizures while on cruise ship and was sent to hospital in bermuda named king edward VII memorial . Thats when he was admitted and taken over by dr fulton. Let me just tell you how lucky as parents we were to have this doctor watching over our son. He was calming relaxed and had everything under control the whole time . When your away far from home and somwrhing bad happens your scared as a parent and dont know what to expect. Thats were dr fulton came in and made my family feel at home a++++++++ doctor. The nurses great also and social work we appreciate everything you did for my son and family and also got my son safely home back to NY. The mihalyo family thanks everyone at this hospital for their patience and professionalism in everything they did. Again Dr Fulton we thank You so much...

I went here to ask for Lazer skin care surgery for moderate to medium severe unknown facial scarring…
I paid $6,000 for 1500 Needles to be punctured into my skin with some sort of medicine that must have just been sterile water… it actually looks ten times worse than it did before I started; had I not mentioned I had an inheritance; I might not have been sent to a random room….
They might have actually given me the first possible treatment too work for my skin, instead they figured I’d go back for the rest of the 14 other rooms of mechanical devices they had to offer for skin care. WHEN I SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR LAZER TREATMENT… when I arrived she just grabbed this huge machine with a needle device (PUHHHWOOOPHTSHHHHHUUUUHHHGHAHGHAGHA) it was a retarded puncture device with a huge needle going in and out of your cheeks and such, completely missing my nose which was half of my worry to begin with. I’m thinking of sueing concidering that treatment isn’t even listed on their website!!! I’m very upset. It looks way worse and with more puncture marks than before :,( HANDS DOWN THE STUPIDEST PLACE TO GO FOR ACNE TREATMENT IN THE WORLD… have fun guys. Get ripped off then!!!

Ari the MRI technologist is absolutely wonderful. I went in for my first and second MRIs in the same week and he made me feel super comfortable while being super friendly. It felt like I was with an old friend! The only downside was the wait time however I understand that’s how things go at hospitals. MG is lucky to have Ari!

Very busy hospital. What did I notice
...they are organized, staff you see in the hallways willing to point you in the right direction with a smile. You must wear a paper mask at all times (no cloth masks allowed).
Imaging centre for x-rays was very busy, but names are called and the line was moving. Expect to wait 30 minutes. I liked the chairs that have plexiglass between them, such a great idea and made me feel very comfortable while I waited.
They have Tim Hortons at the main coxwell entrance and a pharasave for prescriptions.
Taxi stand just outside the main entrance waiting to take you home.
Excellent Hospital and caring kind staff here.
If you liked my pic of plexiglass glass chair give this review a like.

Michael Garron Hospital, formerly Toronto East General Hospital founded in 1929 and located in the East of Toronto in Ontario, has been proudly serving the community of East Toronto since 1929. Do not go here if there is something seriously wrong with you. They're nurses are 90% horrible. Literally had one nurse come into a family members room gave the pills to another family member and said here give him these. They did not bring him ice chips or water when he desperately needed them. The doctors all gave wrong diagnosis, and when we requested a transfer they told us there was no room anywhere and after that day the help we got was less and less. Then when he finally got discharged we went to Mount Sinai the doctors there could not believe the stupidity at this hospital. They said there was room here for you we were expecting you and you never came. They did the tests and now we'll wait for a proper diagnosis within the week. We were forced to stay there for 3 weeks and had nothing done for us and we went to this hospital and everything done in a week. Humber river seems to only care about the money they receive for "caring" for you nothing else. These people should be ashamed of themselves.

This is the worst hospital you could ever go to. My father went here late November because he wasn’t feeling well, his whole right side from his head to feet were cramping and in pain bad, they said he was “fine” and sent him home. At around 4 am my father could not talk or move and an ambulance was called. When the ambulance arrived they said he has been having stroke symptoms for a while now. He was sent to Western Toronto Hospital, great hospital, where he was recovering amazing. Then he was sent back to this disgraceful place because they said he was recovering good and was ready for therapy. When he arrives here his room isn’t even ready and had my father waiting for over 30 minutes outside. There were patients yelling for help and the nurses wouldn’t do anything that my sister had to tell one of the nurses people are calling for help and all the nurses say is “oh they are fine” and go back to the computers. Few days of my father being in this place, he goes back to worse and not improving, but when he was in Western he was improving. This hospital would not clean my dad. My dad was days without being cleaned. My father the later passed in this hospital. Please avoid this hospital at all time.

Poor quality of service from the medical lab team and patient services. Contacting via WhatsApp and Email gave imposible results after trying to reach them for weeks for a quote for labs. They give you differing information (via whatsapp they gave me a quote and then almost doubled the quote estimate via email - still unexplained). They kept me holding for weeks with no proper response nor matching prices. After waiting I still don't have a full quote for the correct labs.
Calling is also made impossible as whichever option you pick off the menu loops you back through the main menu. I do not recommend planning any tests or labs through them.

Never again!
I took my girlfriend to this hospital because she was having strong abdominal pains on 07/02/21. The two doctors were recent graduates v. inexperienced. One of them actually told me that Coca-Cola was a good drink for hidration!!!
Today we spent most of our day worrying that we may have contracted Covid seen as one in every 5 staff members were either not wearing a mask or wearing them inappropriately. We had complained to the night manager, who didn't care less!
To pay for the treatment they tell you to go to talk to a manager in his glass office. This guy not only charged us 5000 Reais which is an obscene amount, but had zero empathy or people skills.
And to think that the doctor actually wanted her to stay overnight, probably to be able to bill me ten times as much!!!
This hospital has some serious issues.

(I never ate so well in a hospital!!!). The medical and customer care are so good that you enjoy being there and feel extremely safe and protected until you are ready to return home! Congratulations to all parties!!! I fully recommend this hospital!

BEWARE IF YOU ARE A TOURIST! My father was hospitalized on a family trip to Cancun. He was transported to this hospital and needed emergency surgery This hospital FAILED him. They wouldn’t even give him so much as saline or an antibiotic without payment in FULL. WE WERE CHARGED $4,000 FOR. He went 8 HOURS sitting on an emergency room bed when he should have been in surgery. THEY DEMANDED 50,000 DOLLARS PAID IN FULL BEFORE STARTING ANY CARE AND THAT WAS JUST FOR THE SURGERY. WE OFFERED TO PAY 25,000 SO THEY COULD START AND THEY REFUSED. WE OFFERED TO PAY THE REST THE NEXT DAY AND THEY REFUSED. WE TRANSFERRED MY FATHER TO THE OTHER HOSPITAL BECAUSE WE THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO DIE. WE FELT USELESS WHILE THEY HAD ALL THE POWER TO DO SOMETHING THEY CHOSE TO DO NOTHING!!!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND NOTHING MORE. ITS A MIRACLE MY FATHER SURVIVED AND ONLY BY THE HELP OF GOD WAS MY FATHER ABLE TO COME BACK HOME WITH US. JUST TO TOP IT OFF WHEN WE WERE PAST THE TRAUMA THAT THESE PEOPLE PUT US THROUGH THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO BILL IS THE OXYGEN THAT WAS ADMINISTERED DURING THE AMBULANCE RIDE!! 2000 DOLLARS!!!!!!!! THEY WOULD RATHER WATCH YOUR FAMILY MEMBER DIE, I WILL NEVER FORGET THEIR DISGUSTING SMUG FACES

It feels very comfortable being there. Olivia is the best. She arranges everything for you when you are from outside the country of Mexico. You show up and all is prepared. Her personality is very welcoming and friendly. I love not having to worry about the stress of paper work especially since i don't know Spanish well. All her subordinates speak English as well and are all very nice. Galenia might be costly however the peace of mind you get not being stresses out with paperwork helps a lot. I don't even need to Contact my insurance. They do everything for you. Best service. The receptionist at imaging are a bit slow and don't know any English. But the staff attending to you in the radiation area are super friendly and helpful. I see many people complain about the price. This is a private hospital and will be costly. It is the same in my own country. Private hospitals cost a lot but if you have insurance and you are not from Mexico, then I highly recommend using their tourism concierge. They are a great help and speak English. They are all very nice and helpful. I have had the pleasure of meeting and being assisted by Olivia (who is the best), Ellen, Ricardo and another guy i cant remember his name. Not sure if it is Daniel or something with a D. That was over 2 years ago i met him. They arranged everything with my insurance prior to going there. I just showed up and Olivia walked me through everything. I was in and out as quick as possible. No long waiting. Use the concierge service they have. It really helps you from stressing about paperwork and payments. My journey at Galenia started September 2021 and I continue into 2023......

Be careful all the tourists MOST FROM USA, in this hospital they don't try to help, they're just looking to take all your money freaking you out, using your feelings to scare you and take as much money as they can!! Please don't go there, go to the General Hospital they really help for nothing ($$). If you want to WASTE your money go to the Galenias.
