SIMPLY HORRIBLE!!!!
I had my first daughter in this hospital 2 years ago. Nothing to complain. This Thursday, March 30, we had our second girl in the same hospital. Complaint starts after 6 hours in the postpartum room without a bed for us to accommodate. That's not the worst. No one knew what to say at the hospital. I even went to the ombudsman who promised me he would solve it and did not meet the deadlines. Now the worst of all starts later. My daughter had to return to the hospital due to Jaundice, and she had to have her blood drawn for the second time on 04/04. They simply put a person whose role I don't know to draw blood from a 5-day-old newborn and it was certainly the first time that they drew blood from someone. He was shivering, and picked up an adult needle that I, a layman, had to draw attention to. The person tried to pierce and insisted and no blood. He gave up and called someone else to help. After several people in the room turned their backs, one person came to help us. Fortunately, he managed, but it took a person to help him who didn't know what to do to help.
Where are the professionals at this renowned hospital? The experience was traumatic, and we will not return to this hospital, especially with our daughters.

I had a lot of trouble finding a good hospital in BH, my degree of clinical complexity demands a medical quality that I haven't seen anywhere else in the region. Wide infrastructure, very complete and good welcome. In addition to a great service from attendants, nurses and doctors. Thanks.

Simply the WORST EXPERIENCE in hospitals of my entire life! In just over a week following the hospitalization of a relative, I had DOZENS of problems with the ABSOLUTE LACK OF CONTROL AND ORGANIZATION of the sectors and professionals: central access has no change and cleaning of the dressing (generating a SERIOUS HOSPITAL INFECTION on top of the one that caused hospitalization); the pharmacy DOES NOT LOCATE the patient's medications and DOES NOT NOTIFY when they are running out to replace them, we find out when the nurse says there are no more AND WE HAVE TO RUN OUT TO BUY IT, EVEN AT NIGHT; any history of the ZERA ward at each change of shift, there is NO RECORD of information and occurrences and when we identify an error, THE BLAME IS ALWAYS OF THE PREVIOUS SHIFT and they cannot do anything; between sectors THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION, the companion/patient needs to repeat ALL the information given, ALWAYS; when we identify an error, such as medication, the nurse's attitude is to ask us what to do (if she knew, she wouldn't be in the hospital); they do not notify the procedures to other sectors (they gave breakfast when fasting was needed, for a surgery requested by the doctor the day before which they only inform AT TIME to go to the block, that is, losing the surgery slot until the period of 8h fasting, ALMOST 12H LATER); and the ombudsman, which is a venting room, because there is NO PROTOCOL for complaints, follow-up and reporting of actions taken, a pure waste of time; emergency room nurses forget to reconnect the serum that keeps DRIPPING AND POLISHING THE FLOOR; they do not consult the medical records FROM THE PREVIOUS DAY to verify medications that may conflict with medications prescribed during the consultation; EVERYTHING is always dirty, with an absolute LACK OF ASSEPSIA in handling equipment that falls to the floor and is used in the same way, leaving garbage and dirty clothes in the rooms thrown on the floor for hours; elevators slow or not working NOR FOR PATIENTS GOING FOR SURGERY; patient stretchers going to the operating room COMPETE FOR SPACE in the hallways with food carts, dirty clothes and HOSPITAL WASTE; in reception, renovation equipment ALMOST HIT patients entering the building; tables with information from professionals and patients go DAYS WITHOUT UPDATE; information is written down by hand in documents that need to be consulted in systems (i.e., the information written down is not seen by others who need it; ward support professional MAL EDUCATED and whose objective is never to help companions and patients, but DISPENSE- LOS OR PLAY THE PROBLEM TO ANOTHER SECTOR OR PROFESSIONAL Finally, I report just a few examples of the absurdities that I experienced these days, and that will certainly be changed to include the others that will certainly happen until the discharge. 1 star JUST BECAUSE IT HAS NO WAY TO GIVE NEGATIVE NOTE.

The hospital is good, but in my opinion it can improve more. There are doctors and others not so nice and thoughtful. The reception is good, some people (receptionists) are polite, friendly ... The same in relation to the security guards. There should be more integration, communication among the coworkers. As I told you it could be better, even in its standard procedure, being more effective,

Never again!
I took my girlfriend to this hospital because she was having strong abdominal pains on 07/02/21. The two doctors were recent graduates v. inexperienced. One of them actually told me that Coca-Cola was a good drink for hidration!!!
Today we spent most of our day worrying that we may have contracted Covid seen as one in every 5 staff members were either not wearing a mask or wearing them inappropriately. We had complained to the night manager, who didn't care less!
To pay for the treatment they tell you to go to talk to a manager in his glass office. This guy not only charged us 5000 Reais which is an obscene amount, but had zero empathy or people skills.
And to think that the doctor actually wanted her to stay overnight, probably to be able to bill me ten times as much!!!
This hospital has some serious issues.

Everything was excellent, from the operating team (special thanks to the amazing doctor Alexandre Santa Cruz, the best orthopedic surgeon there is!!!) until the nursing staff (impeccable and extremely professional, available and kind), the cleaning service (very effective) to the food!!!! (I never ate so well in a hospital!!!). The medical and customer care are so good that you enjoy being there and feel extremely safe and protected until you are ready to return home! Congratulations to all parties!!! I fully recommend this hospital!

I used the HSVP emergency for years and received excellent service from the front desk. the same standard response of lack of organization. Meanwhile, employees and doctors are talking and some are still using social networks. Complete disregard for patients. My son with an open foot stayed for 5 hours to be seen with a fever above 40 degrees measured in the triage and he was not considered a priority. When attended to, they sent him home and said that the professional who would perform the ultrasound exams had already left and antibiotics would solve the problem. In another hospital, a bacterium was detected and he had to perform scraping and puncture and was hospitalized for observation for 2 days. Unfortunate.
Congratulations to the new administration that is destroying a reference hospital with just one bad party. Beauty and reform does not mean good service.

Terrible service. Completely disorganized, does care at all about their patients. I was begging them for help in resolving a billing issue and every department just ignored me. Do not go to this hospital.
I went to this hospital to get an outpatient procedure done which required that I have an attendant with me. The hospital organized for an attendant to be provided, at a fee, from an outside company. On the day of the procedure I was brought to the billing department by member of their "concierge" team, Fernanda. They have an international "concierge" service which basically provides translators so that you can navigate the hospital if your Portugues is not great. At the billing office I was presented with a bill for the cost of the procedure. I agreed to pay it and was then given a credit card machine to make the payment. When the machine arrived, the amount they were requesting was higher than the quoted amount. When I asked Fernanda, she explained that the additional amount was for the cost of the attendant. I paid the invoice and was only provided with a little slip of paper that showed the amount that I had paid. It didn't say what services I had paid for, just that I had paid a certain amount. I then went and got the procedure done. I was put-under, so I don't know how the actual medical procedure went, but from what I saw before I went under, the medical professionals seemed like they were doing a good job. After the procedure was finished, I was brought to the payment office and presented with a new bill. The bill included the additional cost of part of the procedure, the cost to have a biopsy analyzed and the cost of the attendant (which I already paid for). For the next 3 weeks I was going back and forth with the International department, the complaints department and the billing department, trying to get them to acknowledge the fact that I had already paid for the attendant. No one from any of those departments did a single thing to try to help me. Each department passed me off to another department. The complaints department didn't even reply to my complaint. I had to call them up weeks after I had filed a complaint and they were fully aware of the situation, but didn't have enough respect to let me know that they were working on my case or bother to email or call me to help get it resolved. Neither did the International department. When I asked them to help me resolve the issue they just said "this is not my department, I don't know anything about billing" even though FERNANDA was there and was the one that explained to me that I was paying for the the price of the attendant. The billing department just kept sending me the same invoice over and over again and never acknowledging that I had paid for the attendant. It was only when I finally decided to go to the hospital and pay the bill that anything got done. I had to physically go to the International department and demand that they resolve the issue that instant. I spent another 2 hours going to different departments with the "concierge" lady, getting into arguments and explaining over and over what had happened. It was only then, that they acknowledged that the woman who processed my payment allocated the entire amount to the cost of the procedure, which was why this bill for the attendant was still outstanding. At my insistence they finally removed the charge and I was able to pay the invoice. If you go to a Brazilain Hospital, make sure that you get an itemized invoice for every single payment that you make. A little slip of paper with the amount on it is not enough. They will change the amount that you owe them and you have no proof of what you have already paid for. At the end of the day, I probably wasted about 4-5 hours of my time writing emails, sending messages on Whatsapp and arguing with the staff at the hospital. Not to mention all of the frustration it caused. This could have been resolved after 1 email, had anyone at the hospital taken ownership of the problem and been accountable. DO NOT GO HERE - THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS

Not to mention all of the frustration it caused. This could have been resolved after 1 email, had anyone at the hospital taken ownership of the problem and been accountable. DO NOT GO HERE - THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS
