Very bad place to work. They don't give opportunities to grow and learn. My friend got a job there and she just graduated from school. People judged her by saying she asked too much questions and that she was supposed to know everything as she just graduated. Very unfair for new employees. There's a lot of hypocrisy in the hospital and favoritisme.

Ari the MRI technologist is absolutely wonderful. I went in for my first and second MRIs in the same week and he made me feel super comfortable while being super friendly. It felt like I was with an old friend! The only downside was the wait time however I understand that’s how things go at hospitals. MG is lucky to have Ari!

Very busy hospital. What did I notice
...they are organized, staff you see in the hallways willing to point you in the right direction with a smile. You must wear a paper mask at all times (no cloth masks allowed).
Imaging centre for x-rays was very busy, but names are called and the line was moving. Expect to wait 30 minutes. I liked the chairs that have plexiglass between them, such a great idea and made me feel very comfortable while I waited.
They have Tim Hortons at the main coxwell entrance and a pharasave for prescriptions.
Taxi stand just outside the main entrance waiting to take you home.
Excellent Hospital and caring kind staff here.
If you liked my pic of plexiglass glass chair give this review a like.

Michael Garron Hospital, formerly Toronto East General Hospital founded in 1929 and located in the East of Toronto in Ontario, has been proudly serving the community of East Toronto since 1929. Over the years the hospital has continued renewing its commitment and version and today Michael Garron Hospital is a full-service and large community teaching hospital with over 500 beds, and providing comprehensive patient care to a diverse population of more than 400,000 people living in its corresponding area! As a community teaching hospital, MGH is affiliated with the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine, the University of Toronto Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing and other educational institutions. MGH is a designated Paediatric Centre for south-east Toronto for maternal, newborn and paediatric care and a partner hospital in the Child Health Network of the Greater Toronto area. Approximately 3,500 babies are delivered annually at the hospital's Maternal Newborn and Child Health Centre! Although the patient waiting time and some other staff training are needed to be addressed and improved, thankfully, MGH has been working very hard with the provincial government to provide the best patient care for the people they care about as they could! Thank you is really needed for their efforts and hard work!

Came in after my mother was brought in emergency by ambulance. Those guys A+ they knew what to do. Then this started. From 530pm and well it is 3am now and we are still waiting to hear from the doctor’s guess or expertise for what may have triggered my mom’s situation. Doctor paid us a visit at 130am to just ask questions and check her vitals. Mom was then given IV only at 145am even though she had already told the short hair cut with blonde dyed hair nurse that she had only ate yesterday in the morning. He didn’t catch that back at 630pm. We are still here and we just may have to move in bc there seems to be only one doctor working while 20 nurses mixed with hard working ones and then the ones who seem to have the time to sit almost the entire time we were here. I wish we had been given an opportunity to go elsewhere. It feels like the healthcare system here is absolutely the last resort.

Staff are very dismissive and don't bother explaining anything to patients. I came here to the ER and ended up waiting 7 hours to see a doctor. It took me over an hour just to get triaged. I understand things can get busy but for some reason this hospital does not staff for the volume of patients they see. I would avoid this hospital at all costs. It's honestly THAT bad

today (Feb 14, 5pm) was my first visit to this ER room and it was very much better than the Grand River's. The nurses all seemed to be in a better mood and the young ER doctor was quite understanding and kind. The wait time was less than half of that of Grand river.
Things I thought that could be improved though were how the young worker at the entrance of the ER room was just sitting there and staring at people who came into the room and selectively offering guidance. She didn't greet nor guide people as they came in but offered help only if one seemed completely lost. I thought she needed to be more proactive. Also, I didn't like how we had to speak of our personal information (address, phone number and medical info) in front of all the other patients in the living room. Lastly the initial waiting area were quite loud and hectic with hospital personnel walking into and through the area. Some were talking casual things very loudly as if the waiting patients didn't exist. One worker came with a buggy with her baby without a uniform and just went in and out of the triage nurse area like it's her living room.. Beside these minor things the visit was excellent and I appreciate the people who made it the way it is. Will come again, thank you!

Amazing ED and medical imaging staff. Took my son to have his hand injury checked out today, and everything from arrival to triage, registration, physician assessment, and X-ray took less than an hour. Everyone was kind and pleasant. Results took a bit longer which is understandable, but with the cast application and the nurse going over discharge instructions, we were out of there in less than three hours total. Excellent care and experience.

I'm impressed with everyone who works at St. Mary. Looks like it's a very good workplace. From the security guards and intake to nurses and doctors, everyone is kind, polite, and professional. I received great care and am thankful to all staff. Great teams! Unfortunatelly, I had to go there several times lately. They do all tests quickly and answer to all questions in language I understand, as non-medical person. 5 out of 5 stars. Other hospitals should go there to observe and learn how it's done.

Amazing Hospital. I can never forget the selfless service of Dr Nathan, Nurse Kyra and Social Worker Carly as well as all the hardworking nurses, doctors and hospital workers we have met since last year. These amazing angels have been working tirelessly to care for my son who was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. When I think about these amazing people, I thank God for humanity. These people are selfless, hardworking, dedicated and always willing to help everyone they come across. I can't imagine anyone leaving a bad review for Sick Kids Hospital. This is the same hospital that revived my daughter, Faith when she was born lifeless several years ago. Please folks think twice before you leave bad reviews for Sick Kids hospital. You have to keep in mind that the system is bombarded due to high amount of cold related illness. Please do your best to appreciate them. Your appreciation both in cash and kindness will go a long way. Thank you Sick Kids and Staff for the wonderful work you are doing. We love you.

We just spent a few days in the hospital with our little 3 year old son. Since the minute we were welcomed to the ER until the moment we stepped out we got nothing but an amazing treatment. Every single nurse, doctor, resident, student, cleaner, desk clerk, etc. Was helpful, caring, and dedicated. They made us feel cared for and understood. They treated my son which such love and patience. My son really enjoyed the meals. The teams in the ER and Unit 4 were beyond incredible. The communication and attention were awesome. It is just so wonderful to see how are son was in really good hands and we had nothing to worry about with these specialists. I truly believe they don't get enough credit . We are so grateful with all of them. And proud to have these amazing and prepared specialists in our province.

I am new to Canada and I went to Calgary Children Hospital with my kid to have MRI , I would rate the service after entering the hospital with 5 stars , The decoration is very touching and every corner has a story. The staff are friendly and everything was organized and we did not spent a lot of time till the service was provided. We end our visit with cup of coffee from good earth Coffeehouse which it was super super good. On the other hand, I will rate the services before we enter the hospital with Zero star .we cannot accept that in a country such as Canada it will take from 3 weeks or more to get an medical appointment !!! do not give any excuse you should solve this immediately. In addition to that I cannot think of a reason that make the parking not free in a hospital / emergency area!!! You should think of this gain and ask your self , if u r parents and bring your kid to emergency , parking will be the last think you want to think about … so if the hospital afraid from people misusing the free parking you can do a validation process from the info desk, once the car owner confirmed that he/she has appointment or admitted to emergency then the parking fees will be waived (you can give a time limitation ) …

I will give 5 stars for the service that they have done for my son. The doctor was good at doing a physical examination; very detailed, and no rush at all. He was able to find out what was wrong with my son. The triage and ER nurses were friendly and very accommodating; they even offered some free food while waiting for the doctor. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about the long waiting; it is not the doctor's or nurses' fault; it is the system. So thank you again for your service !!
