I needed to make an unscheduled visit to a dentist whilst on my travels in South America. After some careful research and a responsive conversation with the Smiles Peru over WhatsApp, I choose to book my first consultation. In this consultation, they provided the most thorough examination I have experienced, with impeccable bedside manners and more than sufficient spoken English skills. Following the consultation I opted for all advised services, including a root canal, post, and crown. They were able to fit my lengthy appointments into a very condensed period of time to best align with my travel plans. I am extremely satisfied with the service; over the course of my treatment I was seen by no less than five dentists with each reviewing and checking the quality of the others' work. I couldn't be more satisfied with the final results, it is without a doubt the best my dental health has ever felt.

I didn't expect to visit the dentist while in Peru, but had a top notch experience when I needed to. I chipped my tooth on my plane ride into Lima and walked in the next day on Saturday morning. They were able to see me, assess and fix that day. Could not ask for more. Oh and the whole space is strikingly clean and white. I've never felt at a more clean and professional dental outfit.

The Doctors and all Staff at Smiles Peru were amazing!!! I had to have very extensive dental work done in a very short period of time, and literally was in the Dentist chair from 9 am to to close in order to get everything perfect before I had to travel. From Lab work, crowns , root canals , oral surgery, and much more , they were so professional and had a plan of action everyday which they succeeded at every given turn. Every single person I came into contact with from the door men, taxi driver that they sent to pick me up, to everyone else I came into contact with throughput the week , I can not express how grateful I was for their patience with getting everything exactly perfect!!! They were so kind and gentle and very concerned with how I was doing and all wanted to make my goal happen, which was accomplished on this trip! They also have very nice apartments that you can rent, right next door to their office so when youhave breaks to go eat , it’s right next door. Thanks again for everything!!! See you in 6 months!!!! Treatment from the nurses and doctors were great. Very attentive and helpful. But the dark long-haired woman in the reception for the pediatric section was very ignorant. We live in the US so the stuff she insisted from us Made no sense since we don't live there. We purchased insurance in the states before our travel and made it seems as if our services was not covered. Overall our insurance was great and took care of it all including the prescribed medicine. They sent the hospital a letter of guarantee of payment and we paid not one dime.

This review pertains to the hyperbaric chamber unit in this clinic. Ricardo Palma Clinic is deemed a high-end medical center; however, based on my experience, its hyperbaric clinic unit does NOT provide the basic elements needed from a top-notch medical center. I had to leave without getting the services. Mayor observations:. 1. Bad facility (no privacy - 3 chambers, 3 patients, the nurse and a doctor sharing a 6x4 meters room where the patients undress and dress, plus a smelly bathroom in the tiny waiting area - 2 chairs) 2. Bad patient care (no instructions on how to come prepared to the session - like...pls only wear 100%-cotton clothes), does not provide adequate clothes when the patient comes unprepared, and no privacy to undress and dress. 3. Uncleanliness - No time between one patient to the next to properly clean the chambers. They sprayed peroxide inside the chamber in the confines of that small room and without any waiting time to remove the odor of the peroxide and the sweat / odor of the previous patient, they pretended to insert me into the chamber that smelled like feet sweat. I could take being in that little chamber but I could NOT take being in the tiny space smelling that foul-odor... I left without getting the service. It was a extremely disappointing and disgusting experience for a medical facility that claims to be a top-clinic in Lima Peru. Certainly La Clinica Ricardo Palma is NOT a high-end clinic.

Be aware of the medical assistant of Dr Dueñas ( third floor, big tower, " Jennifer"). She treats you wonderfully in front of the doctor, but when you ask for the results or extra important information at the reception or on the phone, she is the rudest. Staff needs to be trained in HOSPITALITY 101.

I see quite a bit of negative reviews which made me nervous going here, and I know it’s all subjective but I had a good experience. Although I do have international insurance so I’m sure that played a part. They got me in fast and the doctor was very friendly & helpful. She was gentle with my hurt shoulder and even offered pain meds in hospital although I declined. it may be a bit expensive in Peruvian standards but if you are coming from North America it is still a small fraction of what you would pay back home( just the X-rays alone in the US would have been significantly more than my total bill here) All in all not a bad experience at all just make sure you have cash or insurance because you pay at the time of visit not like in North America where you can do a payment plan

Simply THE WORST!!! I do not recommend this place at all, don’t even bother to call them because Janet (the secretary or receptionist) will transfer you or hang up. Don’t try to explain them why are you feeling sick because she will yawn and laugh at you. Bad bad experience!!!

I just needed a very simple medication before taking a flight back home - had to wait forever to talk to a doctor, who then proceeded to conduct various useless tests and in the end charged four times the European price for the medication. Avoid.

Horrible experience. I had an appointment with Dr. Cano (otorringologa) 7:45 pm. I even showed up early at 7:30 pm as instructed. Last appointment of the day. But surprise the doctor escapes out the back door and leaves me sitting there. A total lack of formality and lack of respect for their patients. What a joke!

The parking is FATAL (it is tiny, too narrow and almost scraping the car on every curve) in addition to being VERY EXPENSIVE (6.5 soles per hour/fraction when it should be free for all the time one is in and how much it costs to attend)

Yesterday I was in the pediatric emergency with my daughter, there were too many patients and only one doctor attending. My daughter had colic, vomited in the waiting room from 7:20 pm to 10:03 pm and they never treated her. I had to go in until the offices to assert my right as a patient and one of the very insolent nurses began to scold me that I couldn't record it and that I had to wait two more hours. My daughter never received care and I had to take her to another clinic.
A terrible clinic, zero empathy with its clients.

The delay in care is terrible. They just give you an appointment. The worst designed parking lot. All the scratched walls of the poor cars and trucks that barely pass. Mine was no exception and now I have to get it fixed. It ends up being a terrible experience and a physical, mental and emotional drain on going to this clinic. On top of that, they charge a lot and that's the first thing that matters to them.
