ZERO STAR RATING TO THE WORST HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. I want to share my concerns about the National Hospital of Sri Lanka (NHSL), which, despite being the primary government hospital, has some serious issues with its healthcare system. My experiences at NHSL have been quite disappointing, and I feel it's important to bring these matters to everyone's attention. The problems I faced include unprofessional behavior, rudeness, and a lack of empathy from the hospital staff. A significant challenge I observed is the exhaustion of patients due to what seems like a lack of attention and care from the hospital staff. It's disheartening to see patients, already vulnerable, feeling more tired and discouraged by the system meant to provide them with medical support. I also want to express my concern about reported racial bias by some staff members. A healthcare environment should be inclusive, respectful, and free from discrimination. Such behavior goes against medical ethics and can severely impact the well-being of patients. One such example, the security woman in the Endocrine clinic (4th floor) lacks empathy and compassion towards the sick and needy. While I understand the challenges faced by healthcare professionals, it's crucial to maintain a high standard of professionalism to ensure patients receive the care they deserve. These reported issues reflect poorly not only on individual practitioners but on the healthcare system as a whole. It’s true I can’t expect professionalism from NHSL while the country itself is unprofessional and vile but still I felt the need to voice out my opinion.

This on one of the worst and pathetic health systems in the world. The health system we encountered was really sad. It had a lot of problems and things that didn't work well. My mom needed to get an MRI scan, which is an important medical test. But we were told that the scan had to be delayed for a whole month because they didn't have enough ink. We felt very frustrated and disappointed...After waiting for a long time, we finally got instructions to go to the hospital at 8 AM on a certain day. We followed the instructions and arrived even earlier at 7:30 AM. But little did we know that this was just the beginning of a difficult and emotionally draining experience...We were taken to a room where we spent the whole day, waiting anxiously for my mom's turn for the scan. As time went by, I gathered up the courage to ask about the delay many times. Each time, they promised it would only be another hour and told us not to eat anything...The staff didn't show any understanding or kindness towards us. They didn't take our concerns seriously, which made us even more upset. The hours passed by and it started getting late, but there was no progress or communication from them...My mom, who is 61 years old, sat there patiently without eating anything since morning. She looked tired and weak because of it. It hurt me deeply to see her suffer like that... To be honest, I can't recommend this hospital to anyone who needs medical help. But people like us who don't have much money don't have other options or resources to go somewhere else for better care. Private hospitals are too expensive for us...This experience has left a lasting impact on me - it reminds me how broken and inadequate our healthcare system can be for people who are less fortunate. I really hope that one day no one will have to go through such difficult times when they need important medical services.

The doctors and especially the nurses in the hospital are useless. These nurses are often engaged in social media outside the ward and often only one or two nurses stay in the ward and surf social media on smart phones. Even if a patient cries out that it is difficult, they are not looked after. They don't even check if the patients are breathing, and while giving the medicine, they pour water into the mouth of a patient and put a pill and leave without even looking to see if the medicine has been swallowed or swallowed. Patients or caregivers of patients are not told and concealed about the patient's condition. No advice is given. At least they did not say whether the patient was discharged and nurses says that they were discharged only if the patient's guardians forced them to ask. Hygiene of patients is not looked after. Nurses and doctors go about their lives happily letting patients die. The x-rays taken from the patients are not given to the caretakers and are kept with them even after discharge. They are not working for taking salaries from people's tax money. endangering the lives of poor people. I can call them Satan's children.

No one can do wrong. Worst experience I've ever had with an online appoinment. By mistake I had set up a physical appointment for an audio appointment. But there is nothing else to do but act like that. Shame on you Durdens. keep my money.

My wife and I go for a medical check up every year to Durdans Hospital due their quality service over the years. However, I was surprised about their service level this time. No one is caring for us and no one to guide us. There was a meal for our package. We waited more than half an hour in the cafeteria to receive our meal like beggars. But nothing received. Then we left the hospital without having breakfast even though we had paid for it. Highly disappointed.

Even in normal rooms, a bed was provided for the guardian, along with comfortable chairs, a table, and a TV. This thoughtful provision allowed family members to stay close to their loved ones during their hospital stay without compromising on comfort. Budget-friendliness was another aspect that impressed us at Durdans Hospital. Despite offering excellent facilities and services, the hospital was mindful of being accessible to a wider range of patients, making quality healthcare more affordable. In conclusion, Durdans Hospital Colombo is a haven of care and comfort that stands out for its friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and well-thought-out amenities. From the provision of essential items to round-the-clock services and budget-friendly options, every aspect of our experience at this hospital was met with the highest level of care and attention. Everything about my experience with this dental clinic, especially Dr Nasar and Dr Asanga Weerasooriya is par excellence. Their location is extremely clean and sanitized, while the rest of the staff, especially the lady at frontline Ms Nirmala Motha have been very courteous, accommodating and always with a smile. Dr Nasar being the chief always directed and guided his co- dentists in a very gentle and professional manner. It’s been about ten(10) months since I had the work done as it was a dire need for me to be able to smile/speak without hesitation. Dr Nasar and Dr Asanga helped me regain the confidence I lost in my facial appearance . Thank you honourable doctors - I hope my positive experience will help others like myself too!

The actual procedures are excellent, and that goes without saying, but in my opinion the place where this clinic really shines is the really excellent customer service. Every staff member greets you with a smile and that’s really something to appreciate. Thankyou so much Ms Motha, Ms Imoshi, Ms Isuru, and Ms Nimansa for taking care of us!!! My particular experience was with the staff of ward 21. They were like a family. Treated me the best possible way. I have been receiving medical treatment ever since 2010 and this is by far the ɓest hospital experience I had. Awesome. The staff was exceptional. They went far and beyond their duties.

The dentist is competent, experienced and explains all the procedures. He is not only highly skilled but his attitude towards the patient is appreciated. The cost is also very reasonable. I would highly recommend Dr Lahiru for any of your dental procedures.

So I had my appointment set for today and honestly I got to say, easily one of the most customer friendly, hospitable Dental care I have received in a long time. I had my appointment booked with Dr. Neluni Abeysinghe. I have heard many positive reviews from others around my day to day life so I decided to get a check & cleaning done. Upon meeting Dr. Neluni Abeysinghem her politeness and gentle care when speaking and guiding with how and what is going to be done was reassuring. She did an impeccable Job and constantly reassured whether I was comfortable to continue with the process without rushing anything. Timely and Efficient maintaining the quality of her work. Her advice and guidance after the treatment definitely reflects on her work ethic as well. Definitely happy with the Dental care and would definitely come back.

Had the best service here getting my retainers changed and cleaning. They did their best to accommodate me even though i had no prior booking! They have competitive prices for foreigners and doesnt give you the “Sudu Price” I recommend this place for all expats and foreigners.
