Thanks to Dr Alan Antillon and his team for placing my three implants. Dr Alan is truly an expert with finesse to his work. From the airport to the chair, and the best for local accommodations.
Guatemala City is very accessible from the US, and the area is a fantastic vacation destination.
I love my new bite and grind!

Dr. Antillon went out of his way to ensure I had an appointment as quickly as possible and x-rayed the teeth I had concerns about. In my case, it turned they did not need treatment, but he assured me that his team would be available should something arise. I call that excellent customer service!

I'm really upset with the hospital because before I was discharged they gave me the antibiotic and painkiller medication many hours before I was due to make my bill bigger and they went over the insurance budget and they didn't let me see the breakdown
Disastrous administrative staff

What a lack of professionalism:
- nurses calling each other “amiga” while tending patients in their rooms
- residents and nurses rushing into the patients rooms disregarding any privacy and without any education to greet anyone in the room
- nurses setting up a workstation in the rooms hallway, meaning they have no respect for patients or visitors need for peace and quiet
- poor facilities and lack of maintenance

In general, it is a good service that is provided, with the exception of a nurse who, without having any idea of how to channel, gave my wife her arm with a huge bruise. The staff is very friendly and the facilities are clean and comfortable.
The dark one in the rice is the cashier staff, who get annoyed just because, after almost five hours of having discharged a patient, they go to ask them if the documentation to pay is already there. Without any kindness they answer curtly: we are checking, we will call you.

Terrible care in this hospital, I was hospitalized on May 19, I
They channeled me to medicate me and left a piece of what appears to be a needle inside my right wrist where they put the channel. I am already in the city where I live. They do not want to take responsibility, even though I have to undergo surgery due to their negligence, I have to lose days of work, I have to lose time and the trauma that all this is causing me, they want me to travel to Acapulco again, generating MORE EXPENSES and more stress about the situation, so that according to them they can take care of me!!!

Terrible, terrible 😡 service
We went to the emergency room for my son who was having seizures and to treat him they asked us for a deposit of 5000.
Afterwards, they didn't even do a checkup as it is, they just put the oximeter on him and took his temperature and the doctor on duty told me that I had to go to the pediatrician but that he was going to charge me 1500 in addition to the 5000 deposit
Because he is a specialist and that is aside, it also took about 40 minutes for the pediatrician to arrive and he didn't check my son, he just asked the doctor how my son was doing.
He asked me what medication he was taking and he just stared at his cell phone for about an hour,
In the end they just adjusted the medication and didn't even know what the medication was.
We just went to give away 6500
We arrived around 11 pm and left.
At 2 in the morning only with the medication adjustment. Appalling

I have been trying to communicate for an hour but they cut off my phone, I already tried with emergencies with the laboratory and with the advisor (they give 3 options) the lady did not want to charge me, I was sick waiting to leave, and then she did not give me the password to see my study. I was surprised that many have said the same, the attention at reception is very bad. Excellent medical staff and x-rays

I was told by a friend that you can get dental work done at a fraction of the cost in Tijuana. I was skeptical about having a dentist from another country working inside my mouth but these dentist and specialists are great. I felt there was more concern for my well-being than quite a few dentist here in California. Offices are super clean and they have everything a dentist office here in the states have. I had several root canals, caps and a bridge done and they were able to do all this without any pain. Amazing to me I had neglected and put off dental care for too long.
They are all wonderful people at samaritan dental even Sylvia who schedules your appointments and makes it all happen is great. I would recommend this place to anyone including my wife who is next to have some work done.
Thanks to everyone at Samaritan

This was an incredible experience, I got quoted for a bunch of dental work in Utah and it was over $10,000 but here at Samaritan Dental they said they could do it for $3,000! I saved a ton of money just driving down and then back to Utah the same day. It was super clean and professional, the dentists speak English, and the work was impressive, considering I had to get a filling and two root canals with crowns. I'll go here for every dental procedure in the future! 🙏

I first used Samaritan for fillings in 2018 on the recommendation of a friend. No problems with the fillings since. Life brought me back to southern California in 2022 and I needed some dental work so I contacted Silvia and she was happy to accommodate me.
I am not an American so the decision to cross the border is an easy one. The US healthcare system is a total scam and of course dentistry is no different.
Every person I have dealt with has been polite, professional and knowledgable. I have been to 2 different facilities, both immaculate and orderly. I have no problems with any treatments so far, all done for about 40% of what it would have cost here in the US
I would highly recommend this organisation

There service is the best! I was admitted for a week there and they incredibly took care of me and if I gave it a rating it would be an absolute 5 star! Their food, my gosh it was delicious. I never imagine that they serve great quality of food with numerous options. The taste were not bland, it is well seasoned. I always look forward for every meal. heheh. Oh, and their rooms are so clean! They make sure that a cleaner visits my room twice a day to mop and clean the toilet and they remove the trash. And finally, the Nurses are very kind, caring and gentle.. They check up on you multiple times a day/night and responds quickly if you call them.

I found myself sick in Mexico City and after some hesitation I took myself to Angeles. I am from the United States and my review will be from the perspective of someone who is used to USA healthcare. Angeles was amazing when it came to everything important. My intake was awkward but the woman who helped me did everything she could for me since I was incapable at that time. The doctors where amazing and everything to do with my diagnostic evaluation was efficient and professional. (however, unlike in the USA, the doctors took there time to perform a complete evaluation and were not rushed). The emergency room care was also excellent. When I left the emergency room and went to a normal room things were not as good, in fact I was pretty angry with my nurse there.
I was blessed to have a friend in Columbia to use for translation but everything to do with being in the regular room and paying my bill was extremely awkward. Hospital translation services were never made available to me.
Regardless, I feel like the healthcare I received was excellent and I would never hesitate to use Hospital Angeles. I found my care here to be at least equivalent if not superior to the care I'm used to in the USA

The facilities were quite clean and pleasant, at least the room that was assigned to me was quite pleasant, clean and comfortable unlike others that were a little simpler that I had the opportunity to see right here, I don't know if they still exist or have been remodeled, but I don't have any complaint.
The staff was extremely friendly from the first moment, from administrative, security, nutrition and especially nursing, attentive at all times and for any little thing regardless of the time, after my surgery I asked for a blanket and in a minute I already had a thermal one, I asked for my glasses and they brought them to my room in another building.
The quality staff contacted the room daily to ask if I was comfortable and if I was receiving good care.
The only thing that was quite complicated was check-in since it took 3 hours due to lack of room availability, even though it was already scheduled. The same thing happened with discharge and discharge, it took too long.
Even so, I was extremely satisfied with my stay.

A big thank you to the staff of Galenia hospital!!! During our stay this month, my friend became suddenly ill and had to be hospitalized. Being from the US, I must say that it was a bit nerve wracking to have to seek medical help in a foreign country. However, our experience was entirely positive!!! To the concierge staff - Eric and Alfredo - I wish to extend tremendous gratitude!!! Your translation services as well as your kindness and hospitality were both indispensable and greatly appreciated!!!! I also wish to extend my gratitude to Dr. Allejandro (I don't remember your last name); not only were you genuinely gracious, you discovered the problem quickly and got my friend back on her feet in no time at all!!! Again, thank you Hospital Galenia for such a good experience!!! You took great care of my friend and went above and beyond in showing us courtesy and consideration!!!

BEWARE IF YOU ARE A TOURIST! My father was hospitalized on a family trip to Cancun. He was transported to this hospital and needed emergency surgery This hospital FAILED him. They wouldn’t even give him so much as saline or an antibiotic without payment in FULL. WE WERE CHARGED $4,000 FOR. It feels very comfortable being there. Olivia is the best. She arranges everything for you when you are from outside the country of Mexico. You show up and all is prepared. Her personality is very welcoming and friendly. I love not having to worry about the stress of paper work especially since i don't know Spanish well. All her subordinates speak English as well and are all very nice. Galenia might be costly however the peace of mind you get not being stresses out with paperwork helps a lot. I don't even need to Contact my insurance. They do everything for you. Best service. The receptionist at imaging are a bit slow and don't know any English. But the staff attending to you in the radiation area are super friendly and helpful. I see many people complain about the price. This is a private hospital and will be costly. It is the same in my own country. Private hospitals cost a lot but if you have insurance and you are not from Mexico, then I highly recommend using their tourism concierge. They are a great help and speak English. They are all very nice and helpful. I have had the pleasure of meeting and being assisted by Olivia (who is the best), Ellen, Ricardo and another guy i cant remember his name. Not sure if it is Daniel or something with a D. That was over 2 years ago i met him. They arranged everything with my insurance prior to going there. I just showed up and Olivia walked me through everything. I was in and out as quick as possible. No long waiting. Use the concierge service they have. It really helps you from stressing about paperwork and payments. My journey at Galenia started September 2021 and I continue into 2023......

He went 8 HOURS sitting on an emergency room bed when he should have been in surgery. THEY DEMANDED 50,000 DOLLARS PAID IN FULL BEFORE STARTING ANY CARE AND THAT WAS JUST FOR THE SURGERY. If you want affordable quality dental work in Tijuana Mexico, this is the place. My wife had full mouth implants, uppers and lowers and surgery, and I had major work also. Hilda was awesome. I deal with a bad gag reflex, and feared going to the dentist, she made it a great experience and worked with me.I can’t say enough how great this place is.

Dentists were great. Communication was horrible. They said they took my insurance but didn't tell me the insurance covered only 20% until I was half way through the process and I had to walk out. Scams similar to U.S dentistry!

A family member had surgery a few days!
At de financial desk, I paid the amount that they charged!
I asked, with this payment, all medical services are covered!
They said Yes!!
After 24 hrs, my family member was ready to check out!
The nurse's desk told me that I need to go to the financial desk to pay, before the patient can go!
I was upset, due to the fact I paid enough for 24 hrs!
They told me that all services such as: gloves, medications,
Hygiene, food, etc, have to be paid!
This hospital is old!
I paid more than I should have!
My recommendation is, not to use this hospital Climic Catolic

I've been go Almater Hospital twice now to have surgeries with Dr. Luque. I can't begin to express my gratitude for what wonderful experiences I've had. On both occasions, the staff both with Dr. Luque's clinic team, the surgical team, and the hospital staff have gone above and beyond to take exceptional care of me. They are patient with my insecurities and anxiety about the processes, they deliver excellent care, and are kind and considerate throughout. I'm a Nurse Practitioner by trade in the US and have had many surgeries in the US in the past. I can genuinely say the care I received at Almater hospital and by these medical professionals far exceeds any treatment I've ever received in the US. This will be my choice hospital for care with all procedures I'm able to utilize them for and highly recommend them to others.

Very bad hospital to get treated. I went for a procedure on my low back (cyst) and they charged me over 9,000 pesos for just medicine, and wanted to charge me 50,000 for the procedure. Of course they only told me the price after I had asked how much it was going to be. Also they charged me 1000 pesos extra for using a different doctor that supposedly is filling in for another. They wanted to keep me over night for no reason, I would have just been laying in bed (I assume to make more money of me). Communication between the workers is bad. Not recommend at all. Prices are way overpriced and the service is bad. Save your time and money and go to a different hospital

I rarely go out of my way to leave reviews, but the quality of service I received definitely made me redownload the app just to write this. From the very start the receptionists are amazing, very sweet, caring and thorough in explaining everything. Jenny, Salma and Gilda helped me with the appointments as well as setting up the Uber from the border crossing which made the experience even better.
I just parked at a lot by the Jack in the box on the US side, walked across and they ordered an Uber for me to take me there and drop me back off after my appointment both times I've gone..
I got an exam in the US and a quote for about 5k for a root canal and two fillings, here it was. Barely a fifth of that and an amazing experience overall. Erica helped me both times as the assistant and was amazing, and helpful. I loved Alejandra as my first visit she did the deep cleaning and she did two fillings for me today. Not only was she very compassionate, caring & straightforward when it came to what I needed, but very thorough with the procedures and made it as painless as possible. As a guy I typically avoid going to the dentist at all costs but after the experience I had today and last week I definitely will be on top of it more.
Not only was the procedure for the fillings rather quick and pain-free, but Alejandra also was singing some of the songs to me that came on the TV and was a very enjoyable and comforting experience I'll definitely never forget. I got recommended here by a friend after I had looked into them a bit on Google, was hesitant at first about going across the border to get work done but everybody was very professional and made the entire process literally as easy as possible. I forget the two male doctors that did the root canal and the crown but they were exceptional as well and made sure I was doing okay very frequently which was appreciated!
Highly highly recommend them especially for anyone coming from the US to get work done. Just as good if not better quality of work and experience! They all speak English quite well and I had no communication issues at all which was something I wasn't sure about as my Spanish skills are decent but limited. Definitely give them a try!

I did some research on this clinic and liked what I saw. Then I did a simple Yelp and Google search on Dr. Guevara. I found out that his California dental license was revoked. The Yelp review also shows pictures of a law suit. Seems like he may have decided to head south of the border since he could no longer practice in California. I also looked more on the web site and did not see what school he actually received his dental degree from. It said something like going to Harvard for ESL and something about Tufts. Nothing that says he graduated from either dental school. Big red flags for me.

Horrible service. Showed up here with a case of Food Poisoning and was turned away because my symptoms were "similar" to Covid-19. The front desk person told me to wait outside, didn't even ask me simple questions such as if I had a cough or shortness of breath and after "speaking with her supervisor" told me I had to go to the General Hospital because Velmar was "full". Such a lie! If it was full, why wasn't I turned away when I first showed up? I went to Clinica San Fernando after and was seen by a great doctor there. My cardiologist and urologist have their offices at Velmar and I will let them know I won't be able to attend our appointments anymore at this hospital, because they deny service to people in need.

In 20 plus years of international travel I’ve never needed emergency services until a very bad fall in CDMX left me with 3 sprained toes, a sprained knee, a bruised hip and back and a very deflated ego. Medica Sur was AMAZING. Fastest I’ve ever been in and out of an emergency department. It felt like I had 3 dedicated doctors and never even saw the waiting room. Their English was way better than my Spanish and everything including the consultation with the trauma surgeon and X-rays was $550 total. That’s it. I’m paying more to get my teeth whitened at home.
Having damaged the same leg in similarly stupid ways before- this care was miles above what I’ve had in the past. Don’t be worried about going to the hospital in CDMX. They know what they are doing and they are super nice about everything

This place's customer service sucks. I emailed them with questions regarding a minor surgery that I'm looking to get. I wanted to know what the price or approximate price would be for it, if they had availability in a certain part of the month, and if this surgery could be done at the same time.
They responded that I would need to set up a consultation in order to get the answers I was looking for. Guess how much a consultation is? USD$150 or $3300 Pesos. Seriously? I explained to them that it wouldn't make sense for me to spend that kind of money when I may find out they don't have availability for appointments when I need it. How hard is it for a hospital to tell their patients when they have appointments available?

Hands down, one of the best hospitals I've ever been to. Within minutes of bringing my dad here, the entire team was assisting him with his high blood pressure and symptoms of a stroke. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It's important to keep in mind that this is a private hospital, so if you don't have insurance, they will ask you to deposit a certain amount of money into the account. Make sure to mention that you are self-pay. So they can bundle everything up into one packet. I was so impressed with the ability to be able to just walk down to the administrative office and ask what my balance was and get that information within seconds. It is worth every single penny they charge.

I had a crown done and it was just like going to the dentist in the USA. English is spoken and I was taken care of very well. The office will help you find accommodation, and help you with transportation. The office has the latest technology and is located in an upmarket area of the city.
