The international clients WhatsApp line is the worst I have experienced within the business in Medellin. I was trying to get an appointment for an MRI and responses were just like automatic system that left you for hours with no responses. If you call nobody answers. When finally someone responds your multiple messages, leaves again with no answers. I never expected such a poor service from such a reputable institution. I started around 10:00 AM and at 2:48 PM still wasn't able to get any availability for the appointment. I told them never mind and they respond to that message at 5:35 PM! I understand if the people is to busy, but so that means they need to hire more people for the job.

I paid for an Antigen COVID test and haven't received the results from the examination even as they promised to send them within 3 hours to my email address and provide access on there website! On requests I couldn't reach anyone. Thats fraud and should be a 0 Star Rating!

My husband recently had spinal fusion surgery at the hospital. There are so many great things about this hospital, but other things that need improvement. First of all, Cristina, in admissions is wonderful. She speaks perfect English (a huge bonus as my Spanish is basic) and she's extremely thorough and caring. The pre and post op care was also amazing. The hospital rooms are huge, with English TV stations and the accommodations are quite comfortable. Most of the staff (nurses, aides, etc...) are also very caring individuals. What didn't go so great is: (1) At check in we were given the rules of the hospital which requires a family member to be with the patient 24/7. This should be given in advance as we had to scramble to get a dog sitter. (2) Cristina, in admissions, asked us what we had been quoted for the procedure. This is something the hospital should already have, and in the end we were charged almost 23,000 pesos for the hospital's surcharge on the titanium metal used to fuse my husband's neck. Basically, the corkage fee for the metal to enter their hospital. We were not told about this by the doctor who gave us the quote. (3) Most of the nursing staff was great but some would let me husband's IV's run dry with alarms going off. This would cause them to come in and run saline solutions through the line which was a bit painful. When I'd go to see why the nurses had not responded to the IV alarms or our pushing the call buttons, they'd just be hanging around the nursing station. (4) Discharge was a traffic jam. The doctor said we could leave around 10:30 and that the bill was ready. I went to the nursing station to inquire and the sent me to the "caja" (cashier) downstairs who told me it wasn't ready yet so went back to the room and waited 2 hours until I finally went back to the nurses stations and requested someone who spoke English to come talk to me. After that, it finally got finished and delivered an hour later. All in all, a good hospital experience but if they are going to try and market to expats and wealthy individuals, there are many kinks in their system that they need to work out.

Very professional, clean hospital with caring nurses, doctors and entire staff. You don't feel like you are in a hospital in terms of decoration, environment and even the smell. I had an operation and was taken care of really perfect. Can not thank you guys enough. More than 5 ⭐. ( There are also many doctor offices on the upper floors which my doctors were too. My husband need to see another specialist so it was so convenient. The laboratory works perfect too. All in 1!)

The staff is very friendly and the facilities are clean and comfortable. The dark one in the rice is the cashier staff, who get annoyed just because, after almost five hours of having discharged a patient, they go to ask them if the documentation to pay is already there. I had to take my 3 year old daughter to the pediatric emergency room and unfortunately I experienced racism from the first contact with the doctor asking me if I was the mother, because my daughter was white. Electronic queue. Comfortable corners for waiting and relaxing. Information stands with indication of specializations and layout of offices. There were no queues during the daytime. I had minimally invasive surgery and stayed 4 days. The nurses and doctors were all very friendly and helpful, the hospital and patient rooms were quiet, clean, and smelled fresh. I usually have a hard time sleeping in an unfamiliar place, but the hospital bed was surprisingly soft and comfortable and the nurses gave me something at night so I actually ended up getting the best sleep in years. Evening rounds came in at 10:30 PM and morning was 7:50 AM so my roommate and I got our 8-9 hours sleep and went home rested. Big thank you to all doctors and nurses at Albertinen Krankenhaus.

Came to Notaufnahme with racing heart, palpitations and chest pains with breathing issues. I wasnt sure whether it was serious enough considering how full the hospital was and i felt embarrassed to go. Nevertheless, i was treated warmly and respectfully during my long and expected wait (its an emergency room people, chances are someone is going to be sicker and more needing of help than you!) . The staff were under pressure with so many sick people and i was happy to wait. They found me room to stay overnight as the Cardiac Unit was full, and still i was treated respectfully and with dignity. I too am a foreigner, with questionable German skills but i try and found no racism as other have said. Im now in the cardiac ward and grateful that im being cared for. Still! Thankyou to lovely Notaufnahme Doctor, the Cardiac team, the nurses at 2A and also now up in 6B. Everyone has a sense of humour and are so friendly! I recommend this hospital 100% you are in good hands! Chill!

Very good hospital. I had a triple ankle fracture in September. Everybody is speaking English. Surgery was done perfect! Medication was very good, i felt nearly no pain! Recovery is really good, i can go cycling again.

Staff is super slow. You may book an appointment and then wait for hours. And every time they Will day that you is a next one. For payment l, minum half an hour waiting for then to make up an invoice. Very dissapointing service, but specialist doctors are generally good

Totally thrilled and equally disappointed at the same time. From the surgical team, preparation, operation and recovery room as well as the care on ward 3 B, everything was great 👍. I wouldn't be here today after 9 days without these helpful people. Thanks especially to Dr. Hessler who operated on my lumbar spine. I was very disappointed 1. that there was no physiotherapy in the house that would have mobilized me a little better. And 2. and I personally find this the worst: I had to fill out and sign a lot of forms so that everything was done for the AHB when it came to discharge management. Unfortunately everyone was sick and no one cared. Anyone can get sick, but then the work that has been left behind has to be caught up on. The patient relies on it. If I hadn't asked by phone today, I would have waited a very long time. And then I received a statement that couldn't be true. You are no longer a patient here, you must contact your treating doctor. I immediately called the health insurance company; completely wrong statement. The application can be submitted until the time for AHB is over. Very quiet and in nature, which is a clear plus point for the location. A lot more care could be taken in the green area. Some of the staff are extremely friendly and you feel very welcome and comfortable. On the other hand, you also feel like a number or object that needs to be repaired quickly and disappear as quickly as possible. Everyone should be able to have a smile and a touch of friendliness. From the preparation in the hospital room to the immediate preparation for the operation with anesthesia to waking up after the operation, everything was very exemplary, so I felt very well taken care of. Unfortunately, in the hospital room you noticed that the next patients were waiting and you had to put your shoes on as quickly as possible and it was best to run away. The explanation for further independent treatment was like an attack for me. The light came on early, people asked for names, ran their fingers along my leg to see if I could feel everything and then, without checking whether the seams were ok, I said “then you can go home now”! There was still blood in one spot, which was then taped up and they said, now they can go home. In addition, they have never had anything to do with such tablets/medications, injections and changing bandages, explained quickly and they can handle it. When I asked again, I responded with annoyance, as if I had to know. Ultimately it's not rocket science, but with so much information after waking up, it's a challenge. The operation and doctor were great and the handling was a bit of a flop.

The hospital is hit miss like all of NSW Health. The nurses have mental health issues so depending on which nurse you get, either you will receive good care or be subjected to abuse like having your meds not given, information not provided, details not passed to your doctors (who often review remotely so you don’t see them every day). The outsourced food is not relevant to your needs and not replaced with adequate nutrition if you have allergies etc. I saw one new father deliberately kept outside because the nurses didn’t like him then watched them laugh at the struggling new mum who was doing things without support and the nurses just watched, didn’t help her. Same with trying to get information from Doctors, they simply don’t talk to you. The information provided by the nurses is often half-truths designed to placate people not be honest with them.

I don’t know if they will see it but thank you so much to Maddie, Lisa, Eva, Greg, Todd and all of the other overworked nurses and drs who looked after me whose names I didn’t catch or couldn’t remember. I just had my appendix out and it was my first ever hospital visit and everyone was so kind and attentive. I really appreciate how hard you all work. Thank you so much ♥️

I was hit by a car on Wednesday whilst riding my scooter home from TAFE and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for emergency by ambulance. I want to thank all the paramedics, nurses and doctors who looked after me and did every possible test to make sure my bones and internal organs were not affected by the collision. I stayed there from 5 p.m. until 2 a.m. the next day and was discharged after confirmation. I only had muscle injuries and was able to return home safely. The worst hospital I have ever visited, the staff is thinking that they can figure what problems are important and which are not. They just thought I have nothing important to work with, so just said to visit another doctor. The next day morning another doctor said that I should have come earlier 🫠 I hope they will be treated like they treat other people!

No complaint about medical stuff. They are kind and very professional as always, however woman at reception with red hair at that info point kiosk at entrance is very arrogant and rude not only to us but while i was waiting there same behavior with all other patients.

I wish you a good day. In June 2023, our 89-year-old mother was operated on in your hospital. She was operated on by Mudr. Turčan, Mr. Prime Minister of the private gynecologist. Mamma center in BB. He performed the operation in an absolutely professional manner, for which we thank him very much. My mother, but also the family, were very worried about putting her to sleep, as she has a very weak heart and, of course, her old age. She was anesthetized by the head of the OAIM department, Mudr. Paľúch Štefan, who did his job absolutely professionally. After the operation, he gave us the necessary information, assured and reassured us that my mother was transferred to the ward in a stable condition, where he took the initiative to check her. In this way, I want to sincerely thank him for our family and my mother for everything he did for her, for his fantastic care and spiritual support. I sincerely thank the Surgical Department - Hospital Agel Žiar nad Hronom. I met incredibly nice medical staff in the department, helpful, smiling, without any signs of nervousness or stress.
