A friend of mine went to the emergency department with knee pain today. She'd been to a larger hospital yesterday with the same pain and was sent away rudely with a handful of pain killers. At Albertinen Hospital they treated her warmly, compassionately and with great respect as she told them about her increasing pain and bad experience at another hospital the day before. My friend was SO thankful for the advice, investigation into her pain and review of the pain medication she was given. She asked me to give a good review online as she doesn't have internet access.

Came to Notaufnahme with racing heart, palpitations and chest pains with breathing issues. I wasnt sure whether it was serious enough considering how full the hospital was and i felt embarrassed to go. Nevertheless, i was treated warmly and respectfully during my long and expected wait (its an emergency room people, chances are someone is going to be sicker and more needing of help than you!) . The staff were under pressure with so many sick people and i was happy to wait. They found me room to stay overnight as the Cardiac Unit was full, and still i was treated respectfully and with dignity. I too am a foreigner, with questionable German skills but i try and found no racism as other have said. Im now in the cardiac ward and grateful that im being cared for. Still! Thankyou to lovely Notaufnahme Doctor, the Cardiac team, the nurses at 2A and also now up in 6B. Everyone has a sense of humour and are so friendly! I recommend this hospital 100% you are in good hands! Chill!
