About clinic

Our clinic has a 115 years long tradition. What once was a sanatorium is nowadays an acute clinic with 151 beds. Our specialties are orthopaedics, diabetology and vascular surgery. Apart from our wide range of expertise in those fields we are acknowledged for the specialised multidisciplinary treatment of the diabetic foot syndrome. Our clinic includes also a certified center for minimal-invasive joint surgery and arthroscopy. In 2018, our house was awarded the seal "Germany's best hospitals" by the FAZ Institute as part of the evaluation of our quality data. The quality reports from 1,909 hospitals in Germany were examined, which were evaluated from the patient's point of view. We want to make your hospital stay as comfortable as possible. As part of the Asklepios patient safety program, we take many measures to ensure that you can rightly feel that you are in good and safe hands with us.

Quietly located clinic with impressive architecture and attractive, well-kept rooms as well as a pretty garden. Here, emphasis is placed on ensuring that patients feel comfortable. I have recently started going to the ENT doctor, Ms. Jeannette Richter, and would also try to stay here if I were seriously ill.

Unfortunately I am not satisfied. After I was called into the treatment room after 35 minutes, I'm still sitting on the bed with a cloth on my neck after another 40 minutes and waiting for my sonography. When I asked, unfortunately no one could answer where the doctor is and when he will be back…. I wonder why they make appointments then. You always bring some waiting time with you. But I find it impossible that way.

Very quiet and in nature, which is a clear plus point for the location. A lot more care could be taken in the green area. Some of the staff are extremely friendly and you feel very welcome and comfortable. On the other hand, you also feel like a number or object that needs to be repaired quickly and disappear as quickly as possible. Everyone should be able to have a smile and a touch of friendliness. From the preparation in the hospital room to the immediate preparation for the operation with anesthesia to waking up after the operation, everything was very exemplary, so I felt very well taken care of. Unfortunately, in the hospital room you noticed that the next patients were waiting and you had to put your shoes on as quickly as possible and it was best to run away. The explanation for further independent treatment was like an attack for me. The light came on early, people asked for names, ran their fingers along my leg to see if I could feel everything and then, without checking whether the seams were ok, I said “then you can go home now”! There was still blood in one spot, which was then taped up and they said, now they can go home. In addition, they have never had anything to do with such tablets/medications, injections and changing bandages, explained quickly and they can handle it. When I asked again, I responded with annoyance, as if I had to know. Ultimately it's not rocket science, but with so much information after waking up, it's a challenge. The operation and doctor were great and the handling was a bit of a flop.
