The Augusta Hospital is an acute care hospital in the Oberrath district of Düsseldorf, near the Aaper Wald. We have over 200 beds and care for around 26,000 patients a year. Each individual is important to us, in keeping with our more than 100-year Christian tradition. Since our founding in 1904, we have been under Catholic sponsorship. As an academic teaching hospital of the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, it is a center of medical science and offers a wide range of training opportunities for prospective doctors and nursing staff. We have a large number of internal specialist clinics and can therefore cover a wide range of treatments. Our clinics enjoy an excellent reputation nationally. Particularly noteworthy are special minimally invasive surgical techniques with endoscopes and video cameras in abdominal and vascular surgery. We are also well prepared for surgical emergencies. Both ultrasound and computed tomography are available for diagnosis. Cardiological patients are cared for in our state-of-the-art left heart catheter laboratory.

Although I spent in this his hospital the worst hours in my life watching my dearest Dad dying, I feel great gratitude towards the nurses and doctors and everone present at that time. The care, medical treatemnt and also compassion was great and thank to fantastic staff at cardiac ward we could go thorouh it in the best possible way. Once again thank you very much.

I had an MRI appointment at the X-ray institute. The department is in the basement. There is a staircase or elevator to get there. You should be there 15 minutes before the appointment. But it also makes sense, since you still have to fill out a few things. I was called to the appointment on time. The MRI took 10 minutes and according to the assistant, people up to 150 kg fit into the tube. I found it to be very broad and that's why this statement was made. Everyone was very friendly and helpful!!!

My mother had her thyroidectomy surgery done here recently. She was hospitalised for a total of 5 days. Her Thyroid gland was exceptionally huge, but Dr Marius Kivilis managed to remove the entire gland in one surgery. He has done a fantastic job and my mother's recovery has been very smooth. It was a very difficult surgery that we passed with ease. The nursing team were exceptionally kind and attentive. They were going above and beyond their duty to ensure the patients and their families felt comfortable and cared for. You could see that they care for you as a person who is going through a hard time, as opposed to "another patient" who will be leaving the hospital soon. The ward was clean and airy, with plenty of natural light. overall, we were very satisfied with the procedure and the service, Thank you Augusta Krankenhaus! :)
