Point by point, I describe this Hospital as I am undergoing treatment here for the past 5 years. 1. Good doctors but because of the crowd, they become impatient now a days. Waiting time for consultation of 10 minutes time is around 3 to 4 hours, on any day. 2. After Dr Shantha Mam, the quality of administration has gone down very badly. Admn and nursing staff are behaving like demons. Comparing these people, even govt staff are better now a days. 3. Special wards, charging heftic fees from patients, are having staffs with the behaviour of GH alike. 4. Hospital is having tie up with private firm for PET CT. There, they charge 25k for whole body scan, equalent to Apollo hosp., but the lab is very bad, hygiene point of view. 5. They are having their own CT MRI USG labs, but getting date for scan is difficult. 6. File management is very poor. If you are chemo patient or slated for surgery, you have to chase your own file for scan, doc consultation, chemi schedule, for getting fitness clearance for surgery from heart, lung, anesthesia departments etc. Else, treatment/surgery will be delayed in terms of days. 7. Finally, you need lot and lots of patience for any work to get done here, else, you will see your end because of stress related decease rather than cancer. Heard and understood that the administration of the hospital is governed by Board of doctors and eminent people of society, constituted under trust. But, there is no complaint mechanism functioning here to collect feedbacks and correct their flaws. So, they are running this institution with the name already earned by previous generation stalwarts and founders. If you are well off and affordable for treatment, you better stay away from this hospital. Patient having employer or insurance tie up with this hospital or expecting some concession, citing your economic status, stay put and bear with it. In spite of all this, till date, here I am surviving...
