Confido Medical Centre opened at Veerenni 51 in Tallinn in November 2020. Ours is the largest private medical centre in Estonia with doctors and specialists working on more than 10,000 square metres across eight floors. Our ambulatory surgery department is the most advanced in Estonia and supports various radiology examinations. Confido employs experienced doctors from several surgical fields. We use state-of-the-art operation rooms. We perform ambulatory surgery, meaning that you will go home on the same day, after the operation. Operations are performed based on a referral, but a referral from your general practitioner is not a requirement.

UPDATE: Visit #2. Went to see an allergologist. For the allergy tests, blood was needed from the vein. I asked for Ferritin to be checked as we are taking blood anyway, so let's take a little more for this test as I was suspecting that Fe level was low (as it was). The doctor also ordered a hemogram which I didn't ask for. Results of the hemogram came the same day. After checking the results, I realized that the PLT number was critically low (lowest norm is 130, my son had 37). This meant that if he bleeds, he bleeds to death as the blood wouldn't clot. It also means different forms of cancer. I knew that this has to be a mistake. He is a 2.5 year old, he hurts himself multiple times a day and never had any blood clotting problems. Nevertheless, I got incredibly worried - I called the family doctor and Confido the next day and asked for an explanation. The family doctor said that it ought to be a mistake. Doctor called me back and said that this was a 'kiirtest' and that given my child is so young, you cannot believe this test and those numbers. Then why the hell did she order it??? I didn't ask for it. It made me so worried, I couldn't sleep. Why would anyone do something like this is beyond my understanding. Paid 90 EUR for the visit and another 200 for the tests. The doctor wasn't super helpful in other matters either - was just a medium between me and ordering the tests. Could have gone to the lab avoiding paying 90 EUR. It was my second visit to Confido with my kids and the second time it was incredibly frustrating and even ridiculous. Visit #1 Went there with my one month old son. Not particularly impressed. The doctor was not interested, didn't tell me anything that I didn't already know myself. Doctor prescribed antibiotics for an eye infection and took a swab to determine which bacteria it was. This was a little misleading - why prescribe wide range antibiotics while taking a swab to determine exactly which bacteria caused the infection. Promised to call me with the results. Next day eye got better so I didn't administer the antibiotics. Two weeks later doctor called and said that antibiotics were not even necessary as it was just a small infection. In addition, no one told me that I can check the results of the test online myself. Two starts as at least they have a very nice space for breastfeeding mothers.

I was 10 min late for my appointment and my entire hour appointment got canceled. Of course they didn’t reimburse anything, took 100% prepayment. If I have paid for an hour with specialist at least I should have been able to use remaining 50 min, but they provided zero service and took full payment. Excuse was that they have best specialists, which is questionable and makes situation even worse as services are overpriced.

Dear fellow expats, I strongly advise against visiting that place; regrettably, my interaction with this clinic has been exceptionally unsatisfactory and unprofessional. If you require a written statement of an x-ray for your personal physician, it is too much to request from them; please note that they will not fulfill the task. Additionally, if their staff cannot contact you by phone after booking a service that never materializes, they refuse to reimburse the amount paid by you. When a healthcare professional utters the words, "I've spotted something strange on your x-ray," it shouldn't be taken lightly. This statement carries immense significance for patients, necessitating immediate attention and action by a person in a position of indisputable authority. Instead, you will likely be kept in the dark regarding a possible diagnosis. Rather than providing you with crucial information about your health status, they waste their time taking snapshots as evidence of attempting to contact you. Furthermore, do not be deceived by their advertised prices, as there are numerous extra charges, such as follow-ups or additional tests recommended during the consultation, which ultimately increase your bill significantly. As someone with a medical background who has visited public and private healthcare facilities across the globe, I can confidently say that I have never witnessed such peculiar and potentially unlawful procedures. Unfortunately, some medical professionals there prioritize their financial gain over providing quality care. These doctors may pressure patients into unnecessary follow-up appointments, causing stress, anxiety and potentially wasting valuable time and resources. In conclusion, I strongly advise against utilizing this facility, especially if one happens to be an expatriate seeking medical services abroad.
