The Gaslini is a scientific hospitalization and treatment institute.Since its foundation, Gerolamo Gaslini has organized the presence of the University of Genoa within the Institute with its own chairs of pediatrics in order to ensure assistance with the qualified support of research and training of the new generations of pediatricians, nurses and technicians. This strong orientation towards training has led Gaslini to carry out, over the years, many and important initiatives: the school of the Childhood Supervisors, the various degrees of school in the hospital, university courses and doctorates, the CISEF Gaslini International Center for Studies and Training. The Gaslini is today a polyclinic ( 20 pavilions over 73 thousand square meters ) with a hospital and scientific vocation of international level. In the integrated healthcare offer of the Genoese hospital, all pediatric and surgical specialties are present at the highest levels of clinical and scientific skills and practices . The scientific laboratories and affiliated university professorships are also of the highest level - many of which have specific specialization schools and specialization courses. All this integrated, in a modern Children's Hospital, in a scientific hospitalization and treatment institute and in a research and teaching hospital.

My son had 2 surgeries at this hospital and the staff was very helpull and rpofessional. A special thans to Dr. Roberto Gastaldi for being very attentive to us. He and his crew treated us as their family. We really were happy at this clinic. Thank you!
