About clinic

The Nursing School was the first building to open its doors in 1978 with 220 places. The staff residence with 500 apartments followed in 1980 (the staff residence was in operation until the end of 2012). In 1982 the geriatric center in Donaustadt was opened with 405 beds. After a general renovation and extension , it was put into operation as a nursing home in Donaustadt in 2015. The foundation stone for the hospital was laid in 1985, with the construction time for the first component being seven years and the completion of the second component being nine years. The third part, which completed the project, was completed in 1996 and had 933 beds when it was completed. A building was erected on a total of 170,000 m² which, despite its size, blends in well with its surroundings due to its low construction (maximum 5 floors) and creates a pleasant atmosphere for the people who work here or come to us as patients.

We waited for over an hour with fever in front of HNO Ambulanz room, only to be notified that they are closing?? And we were asked to go to the emergency department to wait again. You can't get any clue of what's going on because everything is shut behind heavy iron doors. Emergency staffs are much nicer. That's my 2 stars goes to.

I had an emergency situation, and we needed to call an ambulance. (As a truck driver, who's not home, it is not a easy but actually it same for everyone) Guys in the ambulance was total great and professional and most importantly they have spoken English. They have taken me to this clinic (emergency department). I had mostly positive experiences here bit all. The first lady doctor didn't speak a word of English what is OK, but didn't look so helpful as well. Then the ambulance guys sort out s different (department - doctor) for me. I had a very shaking / deep painful in my stomach but still needed to wait a some time. (There were people waited for treatment but could recognize others with pain etc. But they still handled like you have been at GP. ) of course I understand it is the Dr. Decision what is important and what not... But my pain were talking to me differently at that time. :) At the end I have got infusions and they tested my blood , EKG etc etc. I was OK just got a very hard virus infections. Most of the staff had a good English so communication was easy. I appreciate their hard work anyway. Thank you.

On September 22, having a Vienna view tour, my mom (from Ukraine) has heavily injured her leg. Ambulance got her to your hospital, where she received qualified medical help. Medical staff showed empathy and competence in such stressful situation. Want to thank both the ambulance crew and the "Klinik Donaustadt" team.
