This is the kind of hospital I would expect to find in a poor, lesser developed country. The facility is absolutely despicable and unsanitary--there are flies and blood spatters on the walls that are literally decaying. The clinical staff are of mixed quality: the nurses are good, but some of the doctors seem to have just walked in off the street and donned a white coat without any training. The first doctor we saw did such a bad job that they had to redo all his work the next time we visited a week later. We then had to wait another week for the next steps. Please avoid this place. We didn't and now my wife has to keep going back--today is her 4th trip to the urgency department in four weeks because she keeps being triaged back there by other doctors! It's actually terrifyingly kafkaesk. I am from the UK and assumed--via media reports--that the NHS was bad, but I cannot in my wildest dreams ever imagine such a hospital existing in the UK. We had a similar experience at Saint-Louis (also in Paris, for an unrelated emergency), but I no longer assume that that was just a one off bad experience.

Just horrible! Had to bring my dad for a follow up appointment after he had a heart attack last year. The doctor had changed the appointment time but we never received the letter - they don’t do text! Too 21st century!. So when we showed up for what we thought was our appointment the doctor had left, the not so friendly admin staff explained to us that the next appointment was in 3 months and that we should be grateful as patients can wait up to 2 years to meet a heart doctor at this hospital. Avoid at all cost!

A visitor to Paris, I had a fall and hit my head on some steps. I was taken by ambulance to this hospital. Ambulance I could fault, spoke English and was very caring. Different matter when they dropped me off at this disgusting hospital. I have spent time in a hospital in Ghana West Africa, third world, it was streets ahead of this filthy disgusting hospital. There were no redeeming features, staff awful and rude. They would not let my husband accompany me so I was on my own with people who spoke on English. Took blood without gloves or washing hands. No access to water and was told I was very dehydrated, hello where do I get a drink, when I asked for water was told this is not a hotel. Many X-rays,scans, reports ( 7 hours) I walked out. They initially would not let me out but I made such a fuss they let me go. I did not pay a cent. I have now arrived back home in Australia and I find a bill waiting for me. I m not going to pay it they should be paying me for the trauma I endured. I had a fracture in my hand and they totally ignored that, went to a pharmacy and they bandaged it up for me. I would be prosecuted if I took my dog there. Thankfully this did not spoil my visit to Paris.
