I was very well looked after for my first pregnancy. The team was superb, whether it was for the pregnancy follow-up, the day of the birth or the aftermath of the birth. For this alone I say bravo! But above all, I love the student nurses we met, who were full of compassion and kindness, much more than the nurses themselves.
I don't give 5 stars because there is still a lot of room for improvement:
- at all my pregnancy follow-up appointments, the wait always lasted more than an hour even though we were told to arrive 30 min before the appointment 🙄
- cold administrative reception
- a lady at the analysis laboratory shouted at an old man who didn't understand the process (taking a ticket, waiting etc.) when he had just asked nicely what to do
- we were scared when our baby was born, that he couldn't latch on, that he was going to starve to death, that we had to go to the osteopath...when a few days later our baby gained weight. We didn't understand the point of scaring us so much when in the end everything was going well.

The staff is very nice and tries to make you satisfied.
The only negative point is the price the Institute charges for the room.

I was in Paris for few days last summer, on the 21st of July.
2 days prior one of my teeth broke in the UK. I went to see my dentist who advised me to remove it soon as possible, he also did a scan.
I arrived in Paris and I thought I better find a dentist to remove my tooth. I googled and found this hospital. I went in, gave my details and also an address in France.
I waited 40min to be seen. 2 young dentist were waiting for me. I showed my scan and asked for them to remove my tooth.
They replyed 'there's no surgeon, they are all on holiday".
The conversation lasted 3 min. Before I left and Precisely if I m going to be charged. They replyed Absolutely NOT.
Why are you sending a bill of €60.???

Really bad experience. My friend had chicken pox and yesterday we went there. Doctor see him at 13h then he said he have to wait to see another doctor. We wait there 4 hours then same doctor see him again at 17:15 then doctor said he is not sure it’s Chicken pox or what you need to connect another doctor. The same thing he can told us at 13h why he keep waiting us 4 hours? This is not normal. Sick people come for treatment because they are suffering and for doctors is just entertainment. No respect.

Disorganized and borderline incompetent: i was sent back and forth between the 2 locations and found in both places incompetent personnel. They are unable to keep to the scheduled appointment and on too of all, no doctor is available to issue the report of the examination. Just plain incompetence, avoid this place.

A non-existent reception, empty reception desks, underground access where outgoing patients are not accompanied to find practical access. Summoned for a stress test in room C23... the locker room is limited to two stools, the "new" shower must never have been used and is not usable, the locker room is a storage room... not a hook to put your clothes on . An effort test that is only a stress test... lasts less than 5 minutes to reach your VMax...

Ophthalmic intervention. I admit that I was apprehensive before coming here in view of the negative opinions. I found there a very friendly and attentive physical welcome, a team of caring nurses with excellent organization, a very clean double room, post-op, a snack, with a nurse present to find out if everything is ok. went well, and the reception ordered me a taxi. Although the feeling is very subjective, I do not understand the virulence of certain opinions.
In conclusion, everything went well and thank you to the team. When it's good, you have to say it too 😉

I arrived on 21/11 and 05/12 for 2 cataract operations, at the Cherest clinic, at 7:15 am, not in a good mood. At the reception, an affable and courteous young man directed me to admission. Everything went very well with kindness, especially Caroline, with her humor and her laughter.
On the 3rd floor, the team of nurses welcomes you, all smiling, considerate, taking care of you.
Ismaël, the super happy singing stretcher-bearer, accompanies you to the operating room where you are taken care of by the anesthesia team, led by Doctor Didier Leclerc, to whom I apologize, I have been informed! (only people present in the operating room on December 5 will understand).
Then the top of the top, the surgeon Titah Nagoudi, a great professional, soothing, reassuring and calm.
If I had to have a third eye operation (a nod to Doctor Titah Nagoudi) I would go to this clinic without any problem, where I was received at all levels with professionalism, kindness, efficiency and benevolence. If this small clinic seems dilapidated from the outside, it is better to have a small home than a large impersonal one in others.
In general, I have a rather very critical mind.

I pretty much do not recommend this hospital even to my enemy! The people there are not professional, they are not ready to deal with people from other countries! They don’t speck English at all! They are pretty much rude with the patients and also they don’t have any respect with people from outside Paris.
The secretary is rude, people on laboratory worst!!! Overcharged and they are only concerned about to win money not treat patients at all! I tried to file an official complaint and they wouldn't let me! I am looking for the organization that oversees the hospitals of Paris so that I can make a formal complaint about this hospital. Perhaps the most efficient hospital in Paris. I arrived and was with the triage nurse within 10 minutes (compared to others with a 1-2 hour wait) ... whisked off to a patient room. Doctor saw me, arranged XRays. I was out in 1 1/2 hours. Three problems: The price was over 600E (sooner pay (but not that much) than wait HOURS). I was prescribed two OTC medicines! Sent a long survey to my mobile phone; as if?

I am an RN in the US and had the unfortunate experience of getting sick while visiting Paris. I went to the ER last night with constant wheezing, coughing, sneezing, congestion, and a fever. I was struggling to breathe without wheezing heavily. I arrived at 1:00am and was promptly taken into a private room immediately (didn’t sit it a waiting room at all). The nurse (great English speaking) assessed me quickly and the doctor (also excellent English) came in within twenty minutes. My breathing treatments and medications were administered immediately. Despite being a busy night, they got the tests done very quickly and came frequently to check on me. At 4:00am I was significantly better and they discharged me with prescriptions.
The hospital is extremely modern, clean, and nicer than many US hospitals. I felt very safe and found the care to be excellent and efficient. Who can say they only spent 3 hours in an ER and left so much better?
I would recommend this hospital to those visiting Paris. It was worth the 30 min Uber drive from my hotel.

I was treated respectfully and efficiently at the reception, and directed to the waiting room for my colonoscopy. There, the communication was NOT efficient, and I had to wait more than 30 minutes until I was approached by a nurse, who guided me through the process. This needs improvement! On the other hand, she and everyone else were both respectful and kind to me, and the colonoscopy procedure went as well as I could have wanted. My recovery and release went exactly as I had been told in advance. Overall, it was a reassuring and supportive environment, needing improvement in communication at the arrivals waiting room.

This is a research hospital that serves thousands of women every year. I have been seen by a doctor within two days from my mammography and with what seems to be a fixed delay of three weeks between cosnultation-operation-reconsultation I am now on my way for radiotherapy. It is unbelievable that you get this level of expertise for free, in the states you would have to pay a fortune. The doctors are understandably buzy and will not spend too much time with you, however, there is psycologists, nurses, sophrology classes and all sorts of stuff that you have access to. It is a world class centre and we are all very lucky to have access to it in times of need.

I brought my daughter to this hospital early Sunday morning after she received food poisoning from a five star hotel. The staff was awful. They hire people who can barely speak French. Only the MDs were pros. After waiting for almost three hours I finally stopped a male MD and asked if he could see my daughter. Otherwise we would leave. He did and she was discharged shortly thereafter.

Did not have much expectation when advised by a pediatrician to bring my 3y old kid to urgence pédiatrique here. Random and long waiting time to meet a specialist - check -, zero visibility on how long things will last - check -, Cheap/ gloomy exam room - check -, poor patient experience -check-. 10h total time - oh? worse than I thought. Overall Catastrophic/pathetic experience, worse than in developing countries.
Doctors seem competent, yet do yourself a favour: have an active lifestyle, eat healthy food, make sure to do your utmost possible to avoid being forced to go to French hospitals.

Worst hospital experience ever. Really increased the risk of delivering our son, unnecessarily.
For weeks mid wives kept threatening there is a risk and we have to induce labor while all the data show that the infant and the mother are healthy. My wife was constantly stressed.
When we ask what risk is there, mid wife just says “death of a baby”. Who uses this word in a hospital when there is no real risk?
When my wife did start having a contraction, we went to the emergency service.
They made us wait for 7 hours stating they are short staffed.
There were actually quite a few staffs but they were checking their phones or chatting.
We were disheartened but no one showed an interest, no one came and ask if we were doing ok.
I repeat, it was an “emergency service”.
After the seventh hour I asked when can we be taken care of. They said “we can’t, not enough bed, not enough staffs today. We will have to put you in another hospital”.
Well what were they going to do if I hadn’t asked? Left us there unattended for another seven hours?
They slowly started looking for other hospitals. Many were also full but finally there was a nice one available just outside Paris.
Necker people said “ambulance will be here in 30 minutes”. Of course it took 90 minutes until we finally got to leave this horrible stupid hospital.
Thanks to the nice second hospital, the baby was born in 12 hours after we had moved there, safe and sound.
Maybe we just had a sequence of bad staffs at Necker. But for the entire time we commuted there and visited at the day of delivery, unfortunately we hardly met anyone there that cares or even shows a remote interest in patients.

This is the kind of hospital I would expect to find in a poor, lesser developed country. The facility is absolutely despicable and unsanitary--there are flies and blood spatters on the walls that are literally decaying. The clinical staff are of mixed quality: the nurses are good, but some of the doctors seem to have just walked in off the street and donned a white coat without any training. The first doctor we saw did such a bad job that they had to redo all his work the next time we visited a week later. We then had to wait another week for the next steps. Please avoid this place. We didn't and now my wife has to keep going back--today is her 4th trip to the urgency department in four weeks because she keeps being triaged back there by other doctors! It's actually terrifyingly kafkaesk. I am from the UK and assumed--via media reports--that the NHS was bad, but I cannot in my wildest dreams ever imagine such a hospital existing in the UK. We had a similar experience at Saint-Louis (also in Paris, for an unrelated emergency), but I no longer assume that that was just a one off bad experience.

It was a horrible experience. We don’t speak French, and they didn’t want to speak English with us. My wife did not feel well, but they sent my wife home, even though she was not able to walk, because they had not enough spaces for all the people coming there. When I asked to call a taxi, they said there are taxis outside on the upper level. I had to carry my wife to the street, and there were no taxis at all. By far the worst hospital that I have ever seen. I spent six hours in the waiting room, the water vending machines completely empty, no water to drink, and the toilets locked

Quite possibly the worst reception I have had in a hospital in my life.
My doctor informs me of dermatologist emergencies on Monday mornings in this hospital, so I go as soon as possible on a Monday morning.
When I arrive, I am the ONLY patient present in the waiting room. The nurse confirms the existence of a dermatological emergency, but I quote "we prefer to consult patients with cancer". I repeat: there was nobody. I understand the sense of priorities, but I was the only patient present.
So she sends me back, not without aggressiveness in her words, to walk around, despite the fact that I tell her that I have warts that have lasted for 1 year without any success in removing them from my part and that the urgency comes from the evil that I feel and of my imminent departure abroad.
I spare you the details of his words and his communication which of course add to my anger.
Ashamed. Avoid at all costs.

I had an abscess wound drained here in August 2022, from the emergency room. The waiting room was so dirty, I didn’t want to touch anything. There were people screaming in the hallway: “Madame, Madame. Madame.” It was a really uncomfortable place to wait. They put me through to surgery quickly after inspecting me, but didn’t have me sign anything, did not explain the risk, and took no time to properly translate as my French is limited. They then sent me off without discharge papers or explanation of after-care, and simply said I needed a nurse, but I was too sick from the spinal anaesthesia to find one and needed a lot of assistance. Better communication would have helped. They also said I didn’t need a check up - well, 2 months later, I’m back in another hospital because I have a fistula, which I had all along. When I demanded I have a checkup with the surgeon, she didn’t properly inspect me. And they look at you like: how dare you ask questions or advocate for yourself? It was honestly like they didn’t have the time of day for me. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not French, but I felt very uncared for.
I will not go back to this hospital.

My mother fell in Paris and broke her leg and was taken to this hospital. You would think this hospital was in a third world country, it was filthy and the entire staff is so rude and dismissive. The staff only cares about their smoking breaks and openly complains about Americans to their co-workers. Hours went by with no access for my mother to water or toilet. I had to beg to get them to fill out the forms for her medical transportation back to the USA for surgery. The staff tells you they will get you someone that speaks English or will help and they never return. Patients lay in the hallways screaming for hours with no help. I understand its insulting to the staff that we don't speak fluent French but how would they feel being treated this way in a country they did not speak the language? I’m from Taiwan, visiting my partner here and about to leave in a week. I was unlucky to get sick at the end of my stay, so this morning, we came to Saint-Louis Hospital after counselling pharmacists who told us my condition could only be treated by doctors and advised us to look for emergency services since it’d be almost impossible to make an appointment in a clinic and see the doctor right away. Unsurprisingly, they also warned us it’d be crowded in the hospital. However, when we arrived at Saint-Louis, we didn’t take much time to reach the emergency department with help from the staff. We expected a long queue since strikes were still going on, yet as soon as we went into the ER, where relatively dark and a bit eerie, the nurses welcomed us at the front desk and asked about my situation. They couldn’t speak English, but from my poor French and our interaction, I could tell they were pretty funny despite their unpleasant working environment. A few minutes later, they guided me to the first doctor. Then I did a required test, saw the second doctor, went through an exam, took my prescription and left in roughly 40 minutes. It was all uneventful; everyone was kind and helpful. I genuinely hope the French government can hear these hardworking, sympathetic people and realise they deserve better salaries, working conditions and respect.

For no other reason this hospital warrants a visit to learn its history and inspect its architecture. I was medically educated at St. Louis University in St. Louis MO and was curious about this historic facility far from the other famous Paris hospitals. I have never visited a hospital that encapsulated its past and its modern health care innovations and adaptations. Walk the entire grounds. You won't regret it. Great neighborhood cafes and bars too. Well done Paris.

A most humiliating experience! I arrived for a cleaning and periodontal. This was clear from when I made the appointment. Then was told it would cost three times what I normally pay so I opted just for the cleaning and was ok with that. Was then told that DR PERRIN could not treat me due to Corona virus, even though of course if I agreed to the inflated price he would have happily treated me. Left the practice utterly humiliated as I’m sure the receptionist was too. A very big ego and arrogance problem is the reason why it’s possible to get a quick appointment with this Dr Perrin!
