The Rome American Hospital is a multi-specialty healthcare facility that carries out a totally private activity. The specialists who make use of our sophisticated instruments for diagnostics, medical and surgical therapy do so on a freelance basis. We are the result of a deep collaboration between the leading American, European and Italian experts in the field of private health. The philosophy applied to the project is to prefer the most advanced international techniques and standards to achieve total quality in patient care. In a few years we have become a leader in Italy for highly specialized services, state-of-the-art equipment, rapid diagnosis, intervention and qualified nursing assistance. Since 1999 the hospitalization and day hospital activities and the provision of outpatient nursing services have been ISO 9001 certified. We foster the human relationship with the patient to whom we assure assistance with professionalism and dedication. We work to improve the effectiveness and safety of care, the personalization of assistance, the technology used, the effectiveness of management, the number and variety of services offered, staff training. Every patient has the right to respect for the person, to information and to confidentiality. During their stay, guests and companions can take advantage of particular hotel comforts (internal bar, private parking, garden, internal newsstand, dedicated ATM, wi-fi and pay-per-view services), a peculiar feature of our way of doing health care.

SEE MY REVIEW FOR "SHEEN LANE HEALTH CENTRE"
Overall rating: 2

This place seemed like a third world clinic. From the name, it sounds like a good place for Americans to go, but it was a terrible experience. They speak almost no English. Their facility is old. I was taken (by the doctor) from the Waiting room to a 3rd floor exam room. When we got off the elevator, the entire floor was dark (no lights) and there were no people. Xrays were take and the doctor, with no computer in the tiny office, hand-wrote the visit in Italian cursive. It was not expensive for a private pay facility, but do not expect typical American care here.

An "American" hospital where they cannot even speak two words of English. I thought I had a chest infection and wanted to consult with a professional to hear his or her opinion. The staff was unfortunately not able to help because of the language barrier.
