The Sakakibara Heart Institute of Okayama is one of the most prestigious cardiovascular institutes in Japan, and was established in 1932 by Dr Toru Sakakibara. He successfully performed a life-saving operation for stab wound of the heart with the use of gauze-wrapping technique for the first time in this country on December 16, 1936. In September 2012, Sakakibara Cardiovascular Hospital was newly relocated and opened to offer highly qualified and advanced medical services far beyond 21st century’s medical levels. We believe that our main mission is to keep fulfilling important roles as a top-class hospital in the field of cardiovascular disorders in Japan

Nice hospital

January 26, 2022
After being transported by ambulance, I was diagnosed with aortic dissection as a result of subsequent examinations, and was immediately admitted to the ICU for follow-up observation. If nothing is done as it is, it will eventually become irreversible. And after receiving detailed explanations, I underwent surgery, the nurses' kind care, and rehabilitation, but I was impressed and surprised by the politeness, humble response, and easy-to-understand explanations of medical personnel and non-medical personnel. I feel like it's going down. m(_ _)m As expected, we are a highly skilled hospital with a track record of being ranked 3rd in Japan for valvular heart disease surgery. There is also a social worker in the hospital, and the follow-up after discharge was also very helpful, such as introducing a hospital close to where I live that is affiliated with Sakakibara Hospital. m(_ _)m (Honestly, this is the first time I have experienced a hospital where patients are followed up until after they are discharged.) m(_ _)m I feel very fortunate to have come across Sakakibara Hospital and am naturally filled with gratitude. m(_ _)m Unfortunately, the outpatient care is the worst. Even if there was a problem, even if the patient pointed it out or asked a question, he would just make a stopgap apology and later, "The person in charge apologized. ” and shifts the responsibility solely to the patient. ! ! [Obviously, he mistook a makeshift apology for an apology and conveniently shifted responsibility. ]

I would like to thank the receptionist and many staff members for their courteous service. I am very grateful that not only the medical care provided, but also the highest standard hospital is nearby, and I truly rely on it. I look forward to working with you.
