The Schlosspark-Klinik is a hospital for acute and regular care, idyllically situated at the Schlosspark Charlottenburg. Together with its partner clinic, the Park-Klinik Weißensee, it is one of the privately run clinics in Berlin. It is an academic teaching hospital. In the decades since it was founded (November 1970), our clinic has developed from a rather tranquil private clinic to a regionally and nationally recognized institution. More than 14,000 inpatients and semi-inpatients are treated annually. Of these, 1,300 cases relate to psychiatric care. We treat over 18,000 emergencies and carry out 10,000 operations around the clock every year. The key to the success of our house is not just the use of the latest medical technology, diagnostics and therapy. The Schlosspark-Klinik is characterized above all by the personal commitment of its 900 employees with their professional as well as human qualities. As a medium-sized hospital, the Schlosspark-Klinik is aware of its social responsibility and would like to implement this with supporting activities, especially in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf region. This includes promoting health, opening our house to disadvantaged groups, promoting the quality of medical and nursing care and promoting training opportunities.

I was an inpatient at the since I had knee surgery yesterday. In the morning, two nurses ( male and female) came to take my blood pressure and remove the caniola. Since they were in a hurry, they did both at the same time. The man who removed the cannula asked me to squeeze with my other hand, which was already used to take the blood pressure. He removed the cannula so roughly that it bled onto the surgical shirt, my arm, my leg, and even the floor. I asked him to do something for the blood, he put on a band-aid without disinfecting or cleaning the blood. He "threw" a towel and a new surgical shirt in the bath chair and left. I called him again after changing the shirt but my hand was still bleeding into the new shirt, he said" you should have cleaned it yourself and next time you would wear your normal shirt". He went back and said he had other patients on the monitor, he even left the main door wide open and said "oh my god it's too early for this bad day". I cleaned up the blood but I couldn't clean or disinfect the wound because I had a blaster over it. I called the nurse to ask her if I could change it or disinfect the blood stains. She took the patch off, mumbled something in another language, and slammed the door. I asked the doctor if she could discharge me earlier than expected because of the poor treatment by the nursing staff, she said she could only judge by the condition of the wound. She was dismissive about any complain and didn't inform me about how to proceed with any complaint or took it seriously. I was so relieved to know that I can be dismissed one day earlier than anticipated after I lost any hope to have any decent, human , polite , friendly or at least below average experience. For god I couldn't even get a drink when I wanted one as the tea " is finished". I was treated really poorly perhaps because I am a foreigner with limited German language ability. The two stars are for the receptionist, the " Aufnahme" , the sweet cleaning lady, the night shift nurses and the nurse who trained me to use the crutches.

I was at the clinic with my wife and every single nurse, doctor, security and receptionist that talked to me were patient, kind and nice. Although I don't speak German, everyone was willing to explain things in English. Special thanks to a nurse and a doctor both called Julius who were extremely kind to us and treated us like real human beings. I'm full of gratitude to everyone in this hospital. Thank you 🙏🏻
