Under the medical authority of the Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofe) are cities such as: Rishon Lezion, Ramla and Lod, as well as dozens of localities on the outskirts of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. The Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) offers this population modern, advanced and leading medicine, based on professional and skilled human capital and one of the best medical technology in the world. The Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) has an advanced imaging system, which includes MRI, CT, PET-CT, robotics surgery, an invasive neuroradiology system, one of the largest hyperbaric medicine institutes in the world, the leading orthopedic system in Israel, a breast institute, IVF department and more. In 2014, the Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) joined a quality team of hospitals around the world, certified by the JCI International Standard for Quality and Safety in Medicine. After rigorous testing of international standards, it was found that the Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) is entitled to the prestigious and strict standard "Quality and Safety Certified", which confirms that it meets the most stringent standards and operates according to the most up-to-date medical procedures in the medical world. In addition to this standard mark, the Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) also received an academic certification, which indicates that it met the requirements in the fields of academia and research .
