Staré Mesto Hospital is part of the University Hospital Bratislava (UNB) is the largest medical facility in Slovakia. The basic mission of UNB is to restore lost health and save life. UNB creates five hospitals – Ružinov Hospital, ak Hospital. L. Dérer na Kramáry, Nemocnica sv. Cyril and Methodius on Antolská Street, Staré Mesto Hospital on Mickiewiczová Street and Specialized Geriatric Hospital Podunajské Biskupice. The hospital employs over 1,400 doctors and 2,200 nurses, a total of approximately 6,000 employees. It is a state contribution organization, the founder of which is the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic.
