My mother fell in Paris and broke her leg and was taken to this hospital. You would think this hospital was in a third world country, it was filthy and the entire staff is so rude and dismissive. The staff only cares about their smoking breaks and openly complains about Americans to their co-workers. Hours went by with no access for my mother to water or toilet. I had to beg to get them to fill out the forms for her medical transportation back to the USA for surgery. The staff tells you they will get you someone that speaks English or will help and they never return. Patients lay in the hallways screaming for hours with no help. I understand its insulting to the staff that we don't speak fluent French but how would they feel being treated this way in a country they did not speak the language? Call the US Embassy immediately if you are placed at this hospital for an immediate transfer.

I had an abscess wound drained here in August 2022, from the emergency room. The waiting room was so dirty, I didn’t want to touch anything. There were people screaming in the hallway: “Madame, Madame. Madame.” It was a really uncomfortable place to wait. They put me through to surgery quickly after inspecting me, but didn’t have me sign anything, did not explain the risk, and took no time to properly translate as my French is limited. They then sent me off without discharge papers or explanation of after-care, and simply said I needed a nurse, but I was too sick from the spinal anaesthesia to find one and needed a lot of assistance. Better communication would have helped. They also said I didn’t need a check up - well, 2 months later, I’m back in another hospital because I have a fistula, which I had all along. When I demanded I have a checkup with the surgeon, she didn’t properly inspect me. And they look at you like: how dare you ask questions or advocate for yourself? It was honestly like they didn’t have the time of day for me. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not French, but I felt very uncared for. The only person I can speak highly of was the anaesthesiologist, Dr. Antoine Daccache, who was so warm and friendly.
I will not go back to this hospital.

I didn't know it but I had multiple ulcers which ruptured on the international flight over to Paris from the US. I was in terrible pain and was told to go to an emergency room. I went to the closest one to my hotel which was this Hospital. What a terrible experience! I was dehydrated so they did give me an IV of fluids while I was waiting in the waiting room but only after I demanded it. It was a crowded room with variable types of chairs. The problem was I was there for hours. Nobody addressed my pain while I was waiting. I finally told them I was leaving. Then the doctor met with me and told me I needed more serious care. The next day I went to the American Hospital of Paris emergency room. The put me on a gurney, gave me an IV of pain medication and gave me a CT scan right away. Surgery that night to repair my stomach. If you have lots of time and not a very serious issue and this hospital is close by, you might consider it. Otherwise, stay away.
