The Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) is the fourth largest government university hospital in Israel and the main one in the Shefela area. I am on vacation in Israel. Had a fall that resulted in an open wound on my forehead, and a fractured rib(very small crack). The doctors were very professional, thorough and knowledgable. We arrived at a quite time and we're done quickly with treatment that far exceeded expectations. Upon departure i saw how busy it had become and i can definitely see how this might have resulted in rather long periods for treatment. Overall great experience for a traveller.

On our to a much awaited holiday on the dead sea, my mum fell and broke her hip at arrivals in Tel Aviv. She required emergency surgery. The level of care at this hospital was superb. The staff were kind, attentive and empathetic and made our week stuck in a hospital room as pleasant as it could possibly be. We want to extend another warm and heartfelt thank you to all the surgeons, doctors and especially nursing staff that took care of us a few weeks ago. You are all amazing - thank you.
