Went here last time to the dermatologist emergency with my infected skin (at the time I was in extreme pain). But let’s not mention my first impression of this hospital (for me it was like some sort of crazy asylum house in a horror movie ) No one was at all there at the front door, so we waited 30 mins + on the staircase, and finally someone opened the door, but she was extremely angry, she didn’t bother to give any diagnoses and she even said to us (in Slovak, people here don’t speak English btw) that because I’m still breathing, so it’s not needed to get treated. In the end, we had to go to another hospital, and ended up in a private one, they immediately gave me the treatment, and surgery was needed. Bottom line: don’t ever come to this hospital in any case, rather spend some money on a private hospital, otherwise you can just wait here to either get crazy or die.

Went there today and the staffs there were very helpful. Initially, i went to the emergency department and there was no counter so i was very confused. However, the locals were amazing and explained to me that I will have to wait for nurse to come out of the room to register. The nurse came out after 5 mins and she doesn’t speak english so i was directed to the doctor who speaks and told me where I should be going. In the surgery department, despite the language barrier, the receptionist tried her best by using google translate to communicate. The nurses were so helpful too. The doctor was also very knowledgeable and patient.

I came here after my GP sent me here with a very nasty swelling of the ear, I was admitted urgently and was provided with excellent care. I thank Dr. Aikaterina Sykoudi for her very professional and above all human approach, which showed that even such an unpleasant situation can be handled very sensitively.
