Hands down, one of the best hospitals I've ever been to. Within minutes of bringing my dad here, the entire team was assisting him with his high blood pressure and symptoms of a stroke. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It's important to keep in mind that this is a private hospital, so if you don't have insurance, they will ask you to deposit a certain amount of money into the account. Make sure to mention that you are self-pay. So they can bundle everything up into one packet. I was so impressed with the ability to be able to just walk down to the administrative office and ask what my balance was and get that information within seconds. It is worth every single penny they charge.

I was a patient her for 2 nights and it had truly been one a the better experiences of being at a hospital ever. Staff was attentive, cleanliness was amazing and the over all experience with my surgeon was amazing! Highly recommend! Coming from the USA, this is like being at a 5 star hotel!

I can’t begin to express how much I enjoyed my visit here. From Admission, medical, food service everyone was so kind! Also, food was a 10/10!

My sister was treated for kidney stones in August and we signed a document agreeing to pay $13,800. When we got home, our credit card was charged $38,000. We have made numerous attempts to speak to the hospital, no one has responded. They sent a credit card receipt that clearly shows that they forged our signature and are still demanding payment. Stay away from this hospital, they will scam you out of lots of money.

Terrible money scam. People were nice, but not professional. My mom had a heart issue and was sent here by Xcaret Hotel Mexico (this is a partner hospital with the hotel, says something about the hotel too). She was given EKG and blood test, which was charged 1300USD. The emergency doctor couldn't give any diagnosis with these results and wanted to refer an internal medicine doctor to continue with more procedures (for more charges). The whole time we were there there was no monitor of vital signs, the IV stopped working. We ran away without continuing with any procedure. Stay away from this hospital if you can!

My son hurt his knee pretty bad after landing awkwardly trampolining at our resort. He couldn’t bare weight on it and had a lot of pain so we researched a few local hospitals and decided on Amerimed based on some of the Google reviews. We were not disappointed and so glad we picked this one. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and got us in, x-rayed, meds and a knee brace for 6,500 pesos/ $400usd. We were out within 90 minutes. Good afternoon!! My name is Taynara, and I was admitted to the unit on 11/3/2023... with severe headaches and vomiting, and was soon sent for exams and measurements. I was immediately taken to the ICU, with full medical supervision from Dr Giuliano and his emergency team. On the 4th (Saturday), after more tests, a tumor was seen requiring surgery, which was carried out last Thursday, 11/24. The surgery was a success, the entire tumor was removed without any further complications. Today Monday, 11/27, I left the ICU and am recovering in the room. I would first like to thank God for the entire process, and for the Dona Helena team... from the nurses in the emergency, ICU and maternity ward. Thank you for all the love and care, to everyone I had the pleasure of meeting, they made this struggle easier, they all brought me a lot of confidence and serenity. Thanks mainly to Dr Giuliano, for all his professionalism and clarity. I've been with my grandmother at HDH twice in the last 30 days. The first time on October 21st in orthopedics, service provided by the doctor Barbara Miroski de Oliveira Pinto. The second appointment was today, a clinical appointment by doctor Murilo Melocra. In both appointments, the doctors were very clear, detailed and were excellent in their consultations. Even though consultations were carried out in the emergency room, the service was very complete and all possible information was provided. Service at reception and screening was also very good and courteous.

On Saturday, 02/08, my wife and I were admitted to the hospital through the emergency ward. We needed obstetric care. The reception was perfect. The nurses were amazing. The doctor who carried out the first assessment did well. But everything fell apart when they told us that there was NO doctor responsible for ultrasounds at the hospital, they were on alert. This specific doctor was supposed to be at the beach, as it took him over an hour to arrive. When he attended to my wife, he treated it as if it were nothing. A cretin. In a moment of total fragility. Irresponsibility on the part of the hospital for not having a team on duty (probably to save a few bucks) and the doctor is certainly from that new generation who only thinks about fundraising. Ultrasound care was vital for us, regardless of whether it changed the result or not. We just wanted an answer. The doctor (whose name I will refrain from mentioning here, but you will find out from the ombudsman) came in, gave the diagnosis and simply left. He left the rest to the other doctor who attended to us first (very well) and to the nurses. There's no point in having a hospital that prides itself on having whatever it is, with each professional identified by the color of their uniform and having emergency medical care that is rubbish. Ridiculous. Unfortunate for a hospital that was once a reference in the region. As for the doctor, I wish him no harm. I just want life to give him the same treatment he gives his patients. And I say this from the heart because there is time to change and be better.

This hospital is terrible!!!! I had an ear problem last month and I went to this hospital that charged me for a consultation without first telling me that they did NOT have an ENT doctor available who could help me (even after having gone through the screening), and now even having spoken to the ombudsman, they claim that I was notified, which is an absurd lie. What I take away from this is that in addition to having terrible service and incompetent nurses, they also lie. Don't go to Santa Paula, they won't solve your problem, and then they will claim that “you were too stunned to understand” which is an absurd lack of empathy and humanity for a hospital to say something like that.

Second time this week I spent this week in the emergency room of this hospital, because the medicines prescribed by the doctors are not relieving my pain, I have flu-like symptoms. I haven't slept almost at all this week and today in particular, I stayed up all night feeling a lot of pain. It is not possible that I will have to go to the emergency room for the third time. If I go, it won't be in this hospital. Update: I went to the emergency room for the third time this week, but in another hospital, I was howling in pain, I knew something was wrong, as I was feeling very ill and didn't get better with any prescribed medication. I was diagnosed with sinusitis in another hospital, I remember that the last doctor at this hospital said it was nothing serious and didn't even give me an antibiotic and said it was influenza. Good afternoon everybody. My 18 year old daughter was hospitalized on 10/06 with teratomas on her ovary. A huge scare, because we went to the emergency room with suspected kidney stones. We were very scared and very worried, but I would like to record here the excellent and extremely humanized care provided by everyone, without exception, at the hospital. My daughter had recently turned 18 and so I couldn't sleep with her in the hospital, imagine my despair and worry? So, in addition to never being hospitalized, she had to be alone. But, all (without exception) the nurses, receptionists, doctors, were very careful, loving, attentive and caring. I would really like to remember everyone's name (and I recommend that the hospital look at the days of this shift to really recognize these professionals from 10/05 to 11:20 pm to 10/08), but I was very nervous, but, I remember Carol, Kelly, Luana (in the emergency room), Dr Manoel and the team that successfully performed the surgery to remove the teratomas on my daughter. Those whose names I don't remember (especially a nurse who attended to us in the early hours of 10/06 who was so loving), please forgive me, they are no less important in my gratitude, as I said to some of you, for For me, it is not simply a profession but rather a gift of caring for others. I couldn't spend 24 hours with my daughter in the 3 days she was there, but I'm sure that God chose all the people who took care of her correctly. Congratulations to the hospital, which recognizes its team and always values ​​the people who work there. I also mention the cleanliness of the hospital and the rooms, which are cleaned constantly. After waiting for 2 hours, our daughter was called to help and, to my surprise, they didn't allow the father to go up, they let the mother go up alone with a 10-month-old baby and three bags. Lack of space, lack of planning, lack of training or lack of humanism? Unfortunate...

Terrible hospitalization, few employees, they make the patient do the work, you need to call or ask for sheets, pillowcases, bath towels via QRCOD, I asked for a bathtub so I could bathe my baby, it took more than an hour to arrive, the employee who brings it the bathtub cannot bring towels, the patient needs to use the hospital system to request towels, sheets, pillowcases, hygiene items... and 1 item at a time, in an order you cannot, for example, request sheets, towels and blanket, you have to order one item at a time for the companion and the patient. I am the companion responsible for my 5 month old baby, I also have the flu, I requested hot water to make tea at 10 pm and they told me that the kitchen in a HOSPITAL does not work at night, I have never seen this, an emergency room, a patient in hospitalization and not having hot water. They serve 3 meals a day, breakfast at 7:00 am, lunch at 1:00 pm and dinner at 7:00 pm, during these intervals if you want to order something via app, you cannot go down to reception to receive it, no one at reception can go up to bring your food and no staff can look at your child who is hospitalized for you to go down to reception for 3 minutes to receive the food, you are forced to go hungry or buy it at the hospital cafe. My rating for hospitalization is terrible, if I need it again I won't come back here, good accommodation but the system is terrible service, not even a public hospital is that bad.

Apart from the reasonable delay for the first pain medication (renal colic) and the first nurse who pierced my arm 3 times (skinny with bulging veins) until she was able to access it), the service was good, everything else.

I would like to thank all the staff at Hospital São Lucas for their service and care. I arrived with what seemed like a simple cough and had to be hospitalized. I am extremely grateful to Dr.Thiago Soares Gomes for his diligence and prevention in decision-making, and to Dr.Filipe Miranda Bernardes for his constant monitoring. When an X-ray was not enough to detect the true cause of that cough, they did their best to clarify the picture so that today I am better and continue with the necessary care. Know that my family, people who love me and I greatly appreciate the professionalism and so much humanity of all of you.

I have never been ignored in a hospital, not even in the same unit, but this time it was different. I was seen by the doctor Raphael Augusto Travernard Neves de Oliveira CRM 119677, he asked about my symptoms, I explained that last year I had a migraine attack for 2 months (I was even admitted to the same hospital, in addition to undergoing several tests), finally I was diagnosed with anxiety and chronic sinusitis due to low immunity. After I explained my entire case, according to the doctor and my clinical condition in his eyes, I was “just having a cold”. I didn't agree, and asked us to do the tomography, detailing that I had done the last tomography in less than 2 months, as it was exactly the same. I left there with a prescription for antibiotics, 2 types of corticosteroids, painkillers and nasal wash, as I had a cyst preventing drainage. But to the doctor it was just a cold. DETAIL: the doctor always laughed when I said that my pain was a grade 7.

On 10/23/2023 I was admitted to the hospital to have my cesarean section, so far everything was fine, everything was perfect with the service. However, my newborn was born with a lingual frenulum and no one from the medical team informed me about this. For me, A VERY SERIOUS MISTAKE, especially because the test in maternity is the law. I had a lot of difficulty breastfeeding even with a full breast in the hospital and no pediatric doctor gave me any guidance. One of the nurses told me that the pediatrician on duty was asking me for permission to take the formula, as the right-handed man was showing low blood sugar levels and NOBODY... gave me this very IMPORTANT information and obviously I didn't accept it, as my chest was sore. so full. I was discharged on Thursday 10/26 and only found out about the frenulum on 10/30 when I went to a private pediatrician, by which time my son had already lost a lot of weight. Since 10/30 I've been fighting with my little one, where he needed surgery on the lingual frenulum and only now after almost 20 days did my son start eating properly. I was extremely disappointed with this and even with the information that my son was born at 37 weeks, and the correct one was 39s and 2 d. Unfortunately, I am very hurt and disappointed with the negligence of the professional who was supposed to inform me of this very important information. The rest, such as the nursing team, cleaning and food, were all wonderful.

I wasn't going to write a review (I'm so over all this), but I feel compelled to after reading a review that was extremely similar to what I experienced here for COVID-19 treatment. I tested COVID-positive on January 3rd and started Paxlovid. I saw my neighborhood doctor on January 4th. I am vaccinated (and boosted) but am at high risk with asthma. I was given steroids and breathing medicine. I was instructed to go to the hospital if I got worse. I got worse. The following evening, my oxygen dropped below 80. Scared, I called an ambulance and requested to be taken to this hospital as it was supposed to be the best. They took my oxygen in the ambulance and immediately gave me oxygen. I was on oxygen the whole time in the ambulance. I was taken off oxygen when I arrived as my saturation reached the high 90s. I requested the antiviral remdesivir. The doctor refused to give me the medicine. I explained how my condition worsened despite days on Paxlovid, steroid injections, oral steroids, bronchodilators, and rescue inhalers. He could not have cared less. I requested to leave as the doctor was not going to treat me (he charged me, though). The doctor told me there were other ID specialists. I requested to speak to one of them, and the doctor left. While waiting, someone else came in and said there were no other ID specialists there, so I paid and left. It should be noted my saturation had fallen to 92% by that time. I struggled at home with symptoms for the next few days. I continued testing positive after completing Paxlovid. My condition worsened, and I returned to the neighboring doctor about a week after leaving the hospital. Still symptomatic and COVID-positive, he examined me and found pneumonia. My labs were also abnormal, showing evidence I had developed blood clots due to COVID-19. He prescribed medicine for pneumonia and clots (which worked). All this could have been prevented. Trying to get my medical records from this hospital afterwords (for insurance) was like pulling teeth. It took forever to get my records, and when I finally did, I was shocked. The doctor noted that I said things I never did. My signature was forged on the documents. Worst hospital experience ever. Very expensive and received no treatment. The administration is a nightmare as well. Avoid it if possible.

We have been living In 3 different countries for the past 9 years, never experienced anything as bad. We have a a top insurance but they “suddenly” only excepts credit card payment. Stayed for additional 5 hours because they did not let’s leave. No one speaks English except the doctors. However, doctors are very competent and reason for not one but two stars.

Absurdly (like, for real) expensive for a very mediocre level of service. I went to the urgency center, and i found it very useless that on every stage (reception, triage, first and second doctor) they asked me the same questions. The doctor took more than half an hour to arrive. The receptionist has misinformed me and I did a very expensive (since I’m traveling abroad) call which wasn’t necessary at that moment. Also, several times there were several people coming in at a time, also unnecessary, certainly didn’t create a feeling of comfort. The room in which I was attended was small and the door was never closed.

Our treatment with Alvorada was good up to a certain point, Doctors were cordial and treatment was decent. Our problem starts with some of the Administration staff that failed to inform us of the costs, and a Week after my partners X-ray exams the hospital decides to charge us extra, failing to properly explain the reason for the extra charges. It was also disappointing the lack of instruction from the admnistrative team, I felt like all it was needed from them was collecting the "payment". I understand hospital is a Business, but I still feel disappointed that my Mother was charged extra instead of my Partner and I - Let alone the charge came a week late with little explanation. Terrible service, old rooms, they charge you ghost expenses. I found myself sick in Mexico City and after some hesitation I took myself to Angeles. I am from the United States and my review will be from the perspective of someone who is used to USA healthcare. Angeles was amazing when it came to everything important. My intake was awkward but the woman who helped me did everything she could for me since I was incapable at that time. The doctors where amazing and everything to do with my diagnostic evaluation was efficient and professional. (however, unlike in the USA, the doctors took there time to perform a complete evaluation and were not rushed). The emergency room care was also excellent. When I left the emergency room and went to a normal room things were not as good, in fact I was pretty angry with my nurse there. I was blessed to have a friend in Columbia to use for translation but everything to do with being in the regular room and paying my bill was extremely awkward. Hospital translation services were never made available to me. Regardless, I feel like the healthcare I received was excellent and I would never hesitate to use Hospital Angeles. I found my care here to be at least equivalent if not superior to the care I'm used to in the USA

To my fellow US Citizens I suggest this hospital but please don’t get services from Dr. Gilberto Hernandez Bautista. Unprofessional anesthesiologist. Be sure he won’t be involved in your surgery.

This is the worst hospital experience I've had in my life. I arrived to the emergency room at noon and left at 4 PM whit out being attended to. They charged me $290 USD upon arrival and then made me whit for 2 hours. When they finally call me in, the doctor looked at me 30 seconds and ordered an ultrasonic check that NEVER came. Finally I decided to leave as the lack of attention, the negligence, the lack of information, the complete disregard for my problem and obviously the time spent doing absolutely nothing and listening to the nurses laugh and joke around out side my cubicle, got the best of me. When I decided to leave they made me what another 45 minutes just to return my deposit and give me back my ID which was retained! (Yes the take your official ID and they DON'T give it back until they secure your payment. This is illegal by the way) by the receptionists. By the way, I came to the ER with an internal bleeding due to a fall. The Traumatology "Dr. Jenny" gave me 30 seconds to look at the huge hematoma I had, and then one hour later another 30 seconds to give me the "self leave paper" to sign. NEVER She gave me any indication or had the intention to help me. In fact she said "there is nothing I can do". AVOID THIS EMERGENCY ROOM AT ALL COSTS!

Worst hospitals only into making money I could have got my treatment done cheaper in the USA...they just dump what ever they want for kidney stone laser treatment and stay was a bomb 210000 pesos+80000 for doctors fees...they will empty ur pockets with sweet talks beware doctors are good you could use their services in other hospitals....the taxation department should look into these scamsters

What a slow clinic! They make him come on time but he is late in his shifts, no one comes out to give a reason. The only redeemable thing is the girl at the reception, the rest is a terrible service, the air conditioning in the surgery waiting room does not work. If you can avoid using their services, almost 8 hours for a simple surgery. The worst thing is that EPS SURA has an agreement with them but it is horrible!! The waiting room is horrible. There are patients lying everywhere on the floor. The runners. There is no decent place for the elderly while they undergo examinations and remain under observation. There is one bathroom for many people. And they don't clean it. This is in the emergency room. It is a site where all rights are violated

I hae been there a few times, because my insurance has them as a provider. Once I managed to secure an appointment, all works; however setting up an appointment can be a formidable task, as they dont answer the phone and if they do they pass the buck to sumeone else, or worse they ask you to call a bunch of wrong numbers. The whatsup useless. Today I spent 4 hours trying to get an apointment without any luck. I will soon go in person with a spy camera and will publish my experience on all available social media. What a shame, good doctors and deplorable IT and customer service. Management is unreachable for some strange reason (NOT !!!)

Terrible admin care. There is no real patient ownership and each unit blames the other. There is deep lack of coordination among stakeholders. Patient has been to the hospital 3 times now to get surgery and something always fails because there is lack of coordination and communication between staff. There is need for a real overhaul. Very sad to see this historically best-in-class hospital treat patients this way.

First off this is the best hospital in Bogota according to the locals and my Colombian friends. I came here on a work trip and had an emergency operation to remove my appendix. I came in at 2am, got the diagnosis at 3:30am and they didn’t operate on me until 12pm. The delay was due to the incompetent hospital admin people dealing with my work insurance. I offered to pay out of pocket to get things rolling but they refused. They told me they don’t want double payment incase the insurance goes through. I definitely suggest bringing a Spanish speaker here if you don’t speed to local language because most of the staff don’t speak english. Before the surgery, I had to sign a bunch of disclaimers and waivers which were all in Spanish. My surgery was great. The surgeon spoke good english and was very professional. He reassured that I’m not going to die. As far as hygiene goes, the facility looks clean except there were a few times I caught my nurses taking my blood and iv out without wearing any gloves. Make sure you have money before coming to the hospital. They wont operate on you until payment is confirmed. Last but not least bring a blanket and pillow so you can sleep on the bench while you wait to be seen. Overall I’m grateful for the nurses and Drs that saved my life. My appendix was on the verge of bursting. I would like to give this place a 5 stars had it not been for the front desk admin people.

I had to get a covid antigen test prior to flying back to the US, and was reading reviews at labs all over Bogota, stating the antigen test took 5-7 days to come back. I was worried that would be the case here, so when we went in, I asked, and they said only 4 hrs at the most (it took about 2 hrs, yay!). The staff was so kind and helpful, even though we understood hardly any Spanish. They were very patient with us and we were able to get all the paperwork filled out without any problems. Also, the antigen test was only 120,000 COP, which was better than anywhere else I had found at the time.

Terrible!! The triage staff are rude and the doctor who treated us doesn't even answer the greeting. They lack empathy. If one day they want to get certified, they should start with the staff. You can see the hatred they have for their work, which they project into customer service. The only good people are those in the goal and the laboratory!

I have blood cancer, so I get test at other testing place and than go here for treatment. Lots of waiting, I have to go down street to pay for service. Than more waiting. Not bad place, but everyone seems to be confused. Other than that, it's fine

It is a place where I have had several experiences. More good than bad. It has good transportation, access roads. Good facilities with the different equipment and logistics that a medical center must have and qualified personnel to care for the different patients who are referred there. Hopefully more will be invested in the sector to improve the quality of life of patients.

What a disgusting clinic, terrible, how sad, I entered the page to request an appointment with a cardiologist, he never entered, I went there to request the appointment, I missed the trip, I put a PQR, they gave me the appointment after three months, I went to the appointment and 40 minutes queuing to make the payment, I went up to wait for them to call me and it took another hour to attend me. It is a terrible service from the Vigilante, who brought two dogs to the Hospital (what a hygiene thing) they serve you in waiting chairs where they give you medicine and they are not waiting to remove it when they are finished, even where they place the serum there were more medicines other patients who were no longer in the Hospital and do not pick them up to leave them in the trash. Most of the doctors and nurses, if not all, are inexperienced. The facilities are spacious, illuminated, with air conditioning and with staff always ready to help. The parking lot is large and free.

Everything went pretty fast and the team seemed Professional, the doctor came to check on me couple of times and I could really feel she cares. It’s a pretty good hospital for South America standards .

Terrible service in the laboratory area…. Too long waiting time for fasting patients, which makes the results of some exams very unreliable. Two hours to care for only 25 patients. We arrived at 7:30 and we got file 82... it's 10:26 and they are only on file 57. At that rate, 6 hours waiting for a blood sample to be taken from the patient
