Excellent hospital, organized, clean, impeccable service. Super modern structure, well lit and with totems (you have help if you need it). Great doctors and health staff, all very polite and very professional. I never had a problem with waiting, from the exam area to the scheduled appointment. Cafeterias, both with many options and whimsical meals!

The exam service is terrible. I scheduled 3 times, the 3 times I had an error or absence in the procedure by the hospital. One day the correct protocol was not passed. Another day the professional was absent. On the third day, the exam was rescheduled in half, and I almost lost an entire afternoon of work waiting for them to resolve the situation. The doctor even accepted the fitting of the missing exam only if I "remained available at the hospital". Very disrespectful and inconsiderate of customers!

This review is not for the hospital's medical and nursing staff, which, at least in my experience, were great. All very attentive and available.
The administrative part that was shameful. I had an elective surgery scheduled for more than 15 days, which was canceled less than 24 hours in advance due to lack of equipment. The hospital rents this equipment from third parties, and no one has confirmed its availability for the date. A whole agenda of the medical team and mine had to be redone to find a new date. Also, the hospital didn't even bother to contact me to apologize for what happened.
Another criticism is about communication. The companions are completely without information about which room you went to, when you can visit and etc. The only way is to ask different people several times and hope that someone finds you.
If management reads the comments, please hire a production engineer. Your internal processes clearly need improvement.

It is inadmissible to leave an 85 year old man in a chair waiting so long. It's 11 am until now on hold to finish the service to my father. If the person is already going there badly, in a delicate state of health, this long wait only makes the situation worse; since my father's plan is private and not even a bed was available. I ask the management of the hospital to pay attention to this, because this is not happening today. That they take really effective measures to improve care.

The Hospital has been modernized, is well equipped but still lacks in care. especially in terms of the telephone, where you spend a lot of time calling, call until you drop and you can't make an appointment for an appointment or exam. I think that a robotic system for whats would solve this problem, there are several programs that do all the scheduling and control of appointments and exams, freeing up professionals who are scarce at some time of the year due to holidays.

I want to thank the doctors and nurses who took care of my grandmother Nair Martins dos Santos for years, unfortunately there were 4 recent hospitalizations, and in July 2022 she passed away, but I know that she was very well assisted and the doctor knew how to prepare us with care, she said : Make the most of it, because her candle is already going out... :( and it went out on 07/01/2022. Gratitude for taking care and affection with the family members who came from SC to see her and say goodbye. Too bad I don't remember the doctors' names, but if you see this compliment, you'll know who they are Thanks again to H. Dorneles Hospital.

I arrived at 11 pm with my 88-year-old grandfather with lung cancer, already at the entrance to the door the security guard said that the service was taking a long time, that the waiting time was around 6 hours, he said that to see if I would give up and look for another hospital , so I said I was going to wait the same, then he sent me to the triage. The nurse already arrived "armed" saying that it would take a long time for the service that was full and such, again to see if I gave up. I said I was going to wait even if it took a while, so they had to answer us because they saw that I wasn't going to give up. We were attended to at 7:30 in the morning and there was only us and two other people waiting for the service.
The male nurses seem like brutes without any delicacy to draw blood from elderly people, they have to guide them better.

I had a gallbladder removal operation a week ago, a lot of attention from Dr Cinthia's medical team and more to the nursing technicians in the postoperative period, several times coming to check if everything was ok or in need of something. Bathroom in the patients' room also everything ok, well-structured room.

My 15-year-old son was received at the hospital with severe abdominal pain, on the same day he was medicated, examined and the medical team performed exploratory laparoscopy surgery, removing 50cm of intestine, all on the same day I arrived with him without a precise diagnosis .
He was hospitalized for 6 days after surgery.
Absolutely ALL professionals were extremely cordial, attentive, careful and most importantly, LOVING, both with him and with me and my wife who accompanied the entire period.
I have nothing but praise and thanks for the entire HCPA team, from their welcome at the outpatient clinic's entrance to the moment we passed the gate to discharge them, simply all the blessed people that God has placed in our path were exceptional professionals.
I rated everything full marks as there was no 11 or more!
I wish this institution a long life and my deepest gratitude to everyone who took care of my most precious asset!
If possible, the administrator of this area of opinion, transmit to the professionals who treated the patient Otávio Mirailh Seehaber, who stayed in room 925c our eternal gratitude the desire for more and more success in their lives!
Franz Seehaber son and Elen Mirailh, responsible!

I would like to express my eternal gratitude to the team at Dr. (a) Daniele Escouto who carefully handled my case;
doctor (a) Candida who thoroughly investigated my pain and did not rest until he had a diagnosis and the level of explanations to the real complexity of the situation that was presented.
From Bruna, who patiently explained and answered all my family's doubts and trusted me to follow my treatment at home.
The emergency nurses for their attention, dedication, competence, care, solidarity and affection. Anyway, all positive adjectives.
Nurse Simone, who stayed with me since I was hospitalized and made sure I didn't feel alone because she would be there to help me and didn't leave me even 1 minute alone, gave me all the attention possible (she was a great mother until I went to bed) .
I would also like to thank the staff on the 5th floor of all shifts for the treatment I received during my stay that goes far beyond the coldness of the devices and the bitterness of the medicines, because you are affectionate, you are human, in the truest sense of the word.
During my arrival until my departure, I received unparalleled treatment at the PUCRS Hospital, I had never seen or heard anything like a totally HUMAN team, careful and with love for what they do.
I wish from the heart that God bless each one of you 🙏🏻
And once again I leave my thank you very much with all my heart ❤️

Where to start. A hospital that is usually a reference... My mother entered the hospital with a possible stroke. She was diagnosed with a seizure, they did several tests on her and they did not notice, or if they did, they disregarded her, that 80% of her carotid arteries were clogged and this was causing the seizures and strokes. She was sent home in 3 days with anticonvulsant medicine, even though she stopped walking and had memory blackouts... Today she is being treated and operated on in another hospital.
Also, on the day of discharge, my mother couldn't walk at all, I had to go after a wheelchair at the reception, I had to take her to the car and I had to carry her in my arms to sit in the car with the help of a young man who took his wife for tests.
It left a lot to be desired.

Doctors are excellent, very competent!!. The logistics and other services are terrible. There's no toilet paper in the rooms, cups, horrible food, beans are made from just grains and dark water, every day there's lettuce salad, papaya and, once in a while, apple. Juice for the patient never comes, although the nutritionist does an interview with the patient when he is discharged. Café au lait is made from powdered milk, soluble coffee and warm water!! Blerghs!!! "Unstoppable". Nutrition score zero. I suggest that you take food and leave it in the room, so you have a good food option. Even the toilet was loose. All this in the agreement, already in the private one... blinked, it arrived !! If the companion does not run, does not complain, things remain the same. Parking price is a STEAL! Opinion of someone who has already complained about all these facts on other occasions, but all in vain... room service is very different between health insurance and private. It gets nauseous. A lot of lack of communication between sectors, for example: emergency x concierge x nursing. The concierge disagrees with the companion where the patient is...lol. The nursing staff wants to put the patient (already in the room) on the serum - indication from 2 days ago, from the emergency... they offer food, in the room, from the so-and-so - previous patient. Money speaks louder! Note 4, depending on the medical area... otherwise, note 1
Now, you can't even talk to the room's extension...
Operator's response:
security measure... heinnnn????
Obs.: no need to apologize, I already know the answers.. I already read the ones that were posted.

I was very disappointed with the service, I always heard very good things about it, but my experience was very bad, I had no follow-up, no one to ask if I knew about a diaper, advise on bathing, check if I had milk, if I knew how to breastfeed , if my baby was latching on correctly, apart from the fact that the room I stayed in looked like SUS, I think SUS would be better, there was no proper cleaning in the bathroom, only the first bath was with the nurse, nobody told me anything about the next baths, I had to guess, apart from the fact that the food wasn't the best and the lunch was too poor. Look, unfortunately I am very disappointed with the hospital, at the most important moment of my life, I felt like I had been thrown there!

The hospital is good, but in my opinion it can improve more. There are doctors and others not so nice and thoughtful. The reception is good, some people (receptionists) are polite, friendly ... The same in relation to the security guards. There should be more integration, communication among the coworkers. As I told you it could be better, even in its standard procedure, being more effective,

Never again!
I took my girlfriend to this hospital because she was having strong abdominal pains on 07/02/21. The two doctors were recent graduates v. inexperienced. One of them actually told me that Coca-Cola was a good drink for hidration!!!
Today we spent most of our day worrying that we may have contracted Covid seen as one in every 5 staff members were either not wearing a mask or wearing them inappropriately. We had complained to the night manager, who didn't care less!
To pay for the treatment they tell you to go to talk to a manager in his glass office. This guy not only charged us 5000 Reais which is an obscene amount, but had zero empathy or people skills.
And to think that the doctor actually wanted her to stay overnight, probably to be able to bill me ten times as much!!!
This hospital has some serious issues.

Everything was excellent, from the operating team (special thanks to the amazing doctor Alexandre Santa Cruz, the best orthopedic surgeon there is!!!) until the nursing staff (impeccable and extremely professional, available and kind), the cleaning service (very effective) to the food!!!! (I never ate so well in a hospital!!!). The medical and customer care are so good that you enjoy being there and feel extremely safe and protected until you are ready to return home! Congratulations to all parties!!! I fully recommend this hospital!

Hospital is not well equipped to attend cold symptoms at the emergency. You will have to wait for the arrival of an specialist at 10 AM so that he can look inside your ear canal with an otoscope. Even my throat was looked with a cellphone light. A disappointment. See images of equipments that should be part of the emergency below at the national manual of emergency.

I used the HSVP emergency for years and received excellent service from the front desk. However, nowadays I DO NOT recommend this hospital to anyone who needs to be treated urgently, which is an emergency. Unfortunately, the employees are already used to poor management: triage without proper classification of the severity of each patient, disorganization of the service queue, priorities are always passed on regardless of which
problem and give
the same standard response of lack of organization. Meanwhile, employees and doctors are talking and some are still using social networks. Complete disregard for patients. My son with an open foot stayed for 5 hours to be seen with a fever above 40 degrees measured in the triage and he was not considered a priority. When attended to, they sent him home and said that the professional who would perform the ultrasound exams had already left and antibiotics would solve the problem. In another hospital, a bacterium was detected and he had to perform scraping and puncture and was hospitalized for observation for 2 days. Unfortunate.
Congratulations to the new administration that is destroying a reference hospital with just one bad party. Beauty and reform does not mean good service.

Terrible service. Completely disorganized, does care at all about their patients. I was begging them for help in resolving a billing issue and every department just ignored me. Do not go to this hospital.
I went to this hospital to get an outpatient procedure done which required that I have an attendant with me. The hospital organized for an attendant to be provided, at a fee, from an outside company. On the day of the procedure I was brought to the billing department by member of their "concierge" team, Fernanda. They have an international "concierge" service which basically provides translators so that you can navigate the hospital if your Portugues is not great. At the billing office I was presented with a bill for the cost of the procedure. I agreed to pay it and was then given a credit card machine to make the payment. When the machine arrived, the amount they were requesting was higher than the quoted amount. When I asked Fernanda, she explained that the additional amount was for the cost of the attendant. I paid the invoice and was only provided with a little slip of paper that showed the amount that I had paid. It didn't say what services I had paid for, just that I had paid a certain amount. I then went and got the procedure done. I was put-under, so I don't know how the actual medical procedure went, but from what I saw before I went under, the medical professionals seemed like they were doing a good job. After the procedure was finished, I was brought to the payment office and presented with a new bill. The bill included the additional cost of part of the procedure, the cost to have a biopsy analyzed and the cost of the attendant (which I already paid for). For the next 3 weeks I was going back and forth with the International department, the complaints department and the billing department, trying to get them to acknowledge the fact that I had already paid for the attendant. No one from any of those departments did a single thing to try to help me. Each department passed me off to another department. The complaints department didn't even reply to my complaint. I had to call them up weeks after I had filed a complaint and they were fully aware of the situation, but didn't have enough respect to let me know that they were working on my case or bother to email or call me to help get it resolved. Neither did the International department. When I asked them to help me resolve the issue they just said "this is not my department, I don't know anything about billing" even though FERNANDA was there and was the one that explained to me that I was paying for the the price of the attendant. The billing department just kept sending me the same invoice over and over again and never acknowledging that I had paid for the attendant. It was only when I finally decided to go to the hospital and pay the bill that anything got done. I had to physically go to the International department and demand that they resolve the issue that instant. I spent another 2 hours going to different departments with the "concierge" lady, getting into arguments and explaining over and over what had happened. It was only then, that they acknowledged that the woman who processed my payment allocated the entire amount to the cost of the procedure, which was why this bill for the attendant was still outstanding. At my insistence they finally removed the charge and I was able to pay the invoice. If you go to a Brazilain Hospital, make sure that you get an itemized invoice for every single payment that you make. A little slip of paper with the amount on it is not enough. They will change the amount that you owe them and you have no proof of what you have already paid for. At the end of the day, I probably wasted about 4-5 hours of my time writing emails, sending messages on Whatsapp and arguing with the staff at the hospital. Not to mention all of the frustration it caused. This could have been resolved after 1 email, had anyone at the hospital taken ownership of the problem and been accountable. DO NOT GO HERE - THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS

I was in the emergency room on Monday 01/17 at night.
Although few people when I arrived, the mess was widespread.
Dirty and cramped medication rooms. Employees' cell phone ringing during work hours. Delay in service and lack of information. Many employees with part of the uniform.
I have been going to the hospital for over 20 years and the situation has never been worse.

I had a surgical procedure and stayed at BLOCO E and was assisted at the admission reception by Maurício, who explained everything about how the hospital works and how my stay would be. Great service.
To get to the block, very well signposted on the ground.
Nursing team on the 7th floor, very attentive: Fabiana, Valéria, Beatriz and Alex.
The room is very comfortable, with a sofa bed for accompaniment and the differential is a balcony with blinds that work by automation.
Still in the room, they have a digital safe, minibar (not stocked) and television with a network of paid channels such as HBO, Telecine, in addition to a board with all the information on the patient and the care team.
Bathroom equipped with safety bars and bath chair.
Super recommended.
Appropriate meals, according to the type of diet. I requested an extra meal during the night, as I had not had dinner after the procedure, and I was attended to, without any problems.
I came back to edit the review, because today, after 24 days after performing the surgical procedure, I received a billing email stating that I was overdue with payment. I found it strange, since I was hospitalized for coverage by my health plan, so it was not a private hospitalization.
At the admission reception, we are handed several papers for signature, including some pages of items that, according to the attendant, some plans do not cover. Values from absorbent to other items. Products with symbolic values from R$ 0.09 to much higher values.
Among all the papers, to finalize the entry into your hospitalization, you must sign all of them.
Behold, when I received the return of the e-mail from the billing area of the Hospital, which I questioned what it was about, I was informed only today, after questioning, that my plan did not offer coverage for leg R$ 674.72 + anti sock thrombus R$ 224.00 + blue magnetized box with needle counter R$ 0.01 (yes, charge of R$ 0.01 one cent of a real), totaling R$ 898.73.
At no time were we informed that my plan did not offer coverage for these items, much less did they go to the room to talk to my companion or much less at hospital discharge did the nurse or anyone else communicate with us about such charges.
Ok, the plan does not offer coverage for any item, but the Hospital has an obligation to inform the patient in advance of the billing.
The amounts they are charging me are relatively “low”, as they are just two items, but there could be a few more digits and there could be other items that the plan would not cover and would simply be taken by surprise with a charge for something that I was not informed.
I was disappointed with the communication from the hospital, which until then, I had found everything wonderful and had rated it as a 5, because of that, it dropped to a 3.

I have been here several times, but today seems to be the time that this hospital's ER is the least prepared. Having passed through covid season peak now the hospital seems not being able to cope with the current influenza surge. The expected waiting time for a clinic evaluation, not considering possible needed exams or medications is of 4 hours! Seems that there is no medical staff at all right now. However the nursing and administrative staff are whatever possible. Hope somehow they can cope better with this seasonal flu...
