About clinic

Hospital Mãe de Deus has been operating since 1979, offering complete solutions in health, diagnosis and treatment, with a focus on humanized, safe and centralized care in the resolution of each case. Excellence, proximity and patient care and the constant modernization of services are the guidelines of the institution. A reference in high-complexity medical and hospital care, the Mãe de Deus Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), the largest and oldest health quality and safety assurance agency in the world. Since 2012, the Hospital has maintained this accreditation, which is evaluated every three years. In the world, 660 hospitals are accredited and, in Brazil, 36 institutions, among which only 40% have the same maturity stage of accreditation as Hospital Mãe de Deus (three or more accreditations).

Excellent hospital, organized, clean, impeccable service. Super modern structure, well lit and with totems (help is available if needed). Great doctors and healthcare staff, all very polite and very professional. I have never had a problem with waiting, from the exam area to the scheduled appointment. Cafeterias, both with lots of options and whimsical meals!

The Mãe de Deus hospital is located on Rua José de Alencar 286, in the Menino Deus neighborhood in Porto Alegre, with a built area of more than 55 thousand m², providing excellent infrastructure to its patients, with more than 380 beds, high-tech equipment and highly qualified clinical staff, it also provides emergency care, laboratories, blood bank, parking and meets health insurance plans. The service is exceptional and I consider Mãe de Deus to be a medical brand.

Hospital Mãe de Deus was once a reference hospital in Porto Alegre, but it is currently in terrible condition. Nursing technicians unprepared to care for people, too long waiting times, information that exam machines - resonance, x-ray, are "damaged" (which would be a reason for delays and rescheduling of exams), structure is very bad (broken tables, beds that don't work), poor hygiene (hospital waste on the floor in the medication room, such as bloody gauze and used cotton), hospitalization schedules are not followed (meals are delivered many hours late to patients ), between others. Hospital Mãe de Deus currently leaves something to be desired and any possible inspection of minimum requirements should even be able to penalize them. Relatives of patients talk to each other there and the vast majority are perplexed by what they are doing with Hospital Mãe de Deus, which was once a reference entity. Currently, Hospital Moinhos de Vento and Complexo da Santa Casa de Porto Alegre are far ahead in every way.
