Total disc replacement (TDR) in 2 Spine surgery clinics in Seoul

It’s a clean and a well managed facility with friendly officers and doctors. I highly recommend this facility if anyone wants a medical examination done for visa purpose.

I visited Wooridul Spine Hospital in January 2017 and treated for Posterior Foraminotomy C6/7 and also PELAN at L4/5. Prior to coming in to Wooridul, I had been suffering terrible neck pain for 5-6 months prior to visiting Wooridul and have visited 3-4 Doctors in Singapore and Indonesia, went to 2 Chiropractors, etc with no result. I was lucky, I was referred to Dr. Sang-ho LEE and decided to go to Wooridul Hospital. I am very impressed with the whole procedures from the time I entered the hospital until I was discharged 4 days later. The surgery, done by Dr. Sang-ho LEE and Dr. Keum, went very well and I was out of the hospital like a new person. The equipment is first class, all nurses are very nice and professional, and while I was there, Ms. Sujung Lee was always ready to help. She is a very nice person. I have had the opportunity to visit Wooridul Spine Hospital for three times. I will never forget the hospitality and the effort of Dr. Sang Ho Lee and the Wooridul team at my first visit to the center for endoscopic surgery training. Dr. Gun Choi and Dr. Chanshik Shim were my initial trainers. I am so glad to have had the chance to apply all I had learned there at my own country. One of the most memorable moments of my first visit was my assistance at the operating theatre upon the kind invitation of Professor Dr. Sang Ho Lee. Later on, Wooridul Center welcomed the junior members of our team and trained them as well, as expected from a distinguished and well established institution with a high training quality. Wooridul Spine Hospital, will always be a pioneering and successful center of excellence, deserving and meeting its motto “less is more” under the leadership of Dr. Sang Ho Lee. My family got injured during the visit in Seoul unfortunately. As a foreign visitor, this hospital provide nice service , the people are very nice, we can communicate in English basically , the safety officer helped us to call the taxi back to hotel , thanks for their help. Basically , the basic charge is about 700k won (US$ 520) . There would be additional charges if you need to have further inspections. I hope all of you are healthy and not need to visit hospital during travel. God bless you 🙂

I would rate minus 8f I could. Worst ER experience ever. We had no choice but to come here as per the ambulance staff. The patient was in ER for 5 hours without any communication with the next of kin. No one let's the patient know where urinal was and no blanket available for 30kg patient who was shivering like a puppy. Very rude and blunt staff who were avoiding talking to the patient's family member. If you want to be treated with some dignity do not go to this hospital.

The international clinic was great. They are very organized, they will show you a map where to go and what order. They were helpful and very fast. I had the blood results in one day. The doctor was very kind and easy to talk with, and in perfect english.

I was deeply grateful to have Mr. Shon Pak assist me. Since I am not Korean, Mr. Shon Pak helped me in explaining my medical issue and really comforted me. The entire medical staff was eager to assist.

I've been to this hospital several times and they've always been very helpful and caring. I especially like how there's an English translator to help during your appointments. He or she stays with you and alleviates the stress I'd have if I didn't have one. I've also been to the hospital regarding my ankle and the orthopedic specialist was very thorough and spoke English well. I'm thankful for this hospital and its staff. :)

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! That's first and foremost. From the moment we stepped through the hospital doors, we were in for the best hospital treatment one could have! Mr. Park took us to our room and had us settle in. Right afterwards, Mr. Park went right to work and had me do whatever tests we could get done that evening. The following morning we finished up all the tests and exams before Ms. Sabina took over. She was there to guide and translate for us alongside Mr. Park. The entire hospital staff and nurses had the best hospitality I've ever encountered, and i thank them for everything they have done to make our accommodations more than comfortable. I would also like to thank all the technicians from MRI, X-ray, and Lab for making it pain free as possible. The cleaning staff here are way better than most hotels I've stayed at, they are kind, polite and greet you with a big smile everday. Before my surgery, i couldn't stand or walk for more than 10 minutes as i had a nerve and spine injury and I would love to thank most especially my doctor... Dr. Seok Kwon Kang for taking care of that problem and giving me another chance to walk that extra mile! Last but not least, I want to thank Kang Dong Orthopedic Hospital for a wonderful experience and opportunity for taking on this risky surgery. From me and my wife we applaud you all for a job well done! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND this institution to everyone.

I had my MRI there and the purpose was to look for a serious condition. The neurosurgeon barely answered any questions and I had to force him to look at my MRI. It was shocking ! He also refused to write a report for my rheumatologist. I've never seen this. My rheumatologist had to ask for a report to another radiologist and finally we pinpoint the disease !! This behavior is unacceptable and the last time I checked MRI cost me 1 000 $ ! The minimum he could do was to spend 10 minutes to explain me !

Had an exhilarating stroll around Yonsei campus. There's a bookstore for souvenir university items. Most K dramas have scenes around the campus. Very scenic. A must visit place even for first timers in Korea.

Great experience as an international traveller. Doctors speak English and tests were done in a swift manner. My travel insurance company worked quickly to make payment so I wasn’t out of pocket.

Visited Severance hospital to treat an unknown issue on my toe in 2021. It was not treated properly for over 6 months and during that time I visited the dermatology department weekly to ‘treat’ it with laser removal and surgical skin removal. After 6 months of repeated treatments and not improving, they tested the problem. (Yes the first test) The issue they were treating (bacteria) was different from what they had been treating thus far. Saw a slight improvement but the doctor change resulted in the decision to removal part of the nail. The nail was removed and since then have encountered more issues due to the first doctor’s mishaps. The nursing staff was kind throughout the experience which is why I am giving this review 3 stars. The doctors lack of knowledge on this issue and repeated issues (pain, treatment of the wrong problems) without admitting her wrongdoing caused me extreme stress, pain and damage to my foot. It felt as this hospital was out to make money. The lack of treatment (in a timely manner) can cause long term damages and suffering. Although the doctors have changed, the Yongin branch does not live up to the standards of other Severance hospitals.

Very new, clean and accommodating. I come all the way from Seoul here simply for the professionalism and high-quality service. As a foreigner i don't feel like a second class citizen like in most hospitals here in Korea (especially Severance in Shinchon). I've already had 2 surgeries here and I don't think I'll go to another hospital unless time is of the essence and I can't make the hour long trip here.

My friend went to the emergency room at the hospital at 2 a.m. and they asked her to wait a while for "emergency surgery," and she had to wait until 4 p.m. (14 hrs later) to get the surgery. As she wanted to move to another hospital because of this this, they simply refused and gave her medicine that caused dizziness and sleepiness. Because she was a foreigner, they didn't listen to her and even cops didn't help her. She felt as though she was kidnapped, but she had to pay for the ordeal. The payment for the wait alone was 300 dollars and the total was over thousands of dollars. They follow only the doctors and look down on the patients here. The worst hospital in the world. An average prison for sure.

Literally the most frustrating experience ever. They asked me so many questions before an appointment was made and they said I was cleared and everything was set for the day they'll see me. I arrive to my appointment and was turned away and was told something completely different than what they told me on the phone. They even had the audacity to say come next week instead than we can check you. Worst place. Don't go there especially if you're a foreigner.

Ewha women's university hispital emmergency service is the most disgusting hospital in seoul.my baby was failed from table and injured on his forehead,teeth and tounge and i went to this emmergency to check if brain trauma happened to my baby or not.but,amazingly they said first test corona but he has no any sign and they sent us to quarantine room and locked it.....waiting there longgggg time with this little baby who was hungry and sick.so am so upset and left the hospital.what kind of hospital is it?howmany time should i wait in that locked room alone?
