Chemotherapy for retinoblastoma in 1 Oncology clinic in Paris

This is a research hospital that serves thousands of women every year. I have been seen by a doctor within two days from my mammography and with what seems to be a fixed delay of three weeks between cosnultation-operation-reconsultation I am now on my way for radiotherapy. It is unbelievable that you get this level of expertise for free, in the states you would have to pay a fortune. The doctors are understandably buzy and will not spend too much time with you, however, there is psycologists, nurses, sophrology classes and all sorts of stuff that you have access to. It is a world class centre and we are all very lucky to have access to it in times of need.

My partner is in the hospital, he is French. I have come from Scotland to be with him. Is there any reasonable priced accommodation near the hospital. Thank you

There's a good people and there's a very bad people, but the hospital has to make a Training courses for workers to deal with patients and should be attention to patients' complaints. I wonder how a kind docteur like Dr Ilenko Anna has a secretary like that🤷🏻‍♀️ her secretary is a very tough person😬 Violent, aggressive👽 and attacker😡 She does not respect the patients😡 and believes that they are her slaves😈 and that she works for free not for money, and that she works in her own institution or in her home.

Unfortunately, the hospital has become bad. It has become for trainee doctors, not for excellent doctors in the past. I am talking about an experience in 2014 on a treatment trip, and the patient was treated with the best treatment and the best treatment. Now we returned to the same hospital. Unfortunately, it became clear to me that it had become a place for trainee doctors who endangered patients' lives and dealt with worse than bad, and this is a problem Unfortunately, a large international hospital disappointed a lot

Do you think that it’s fair to make a patient wait in the hall from 9am to 4pm to enter his room that was already reserved 21 days before in order to proceed with his chemotherapy!!!!This is not acceptable!! The patient is already ill, plus they are making him wait for more than 6 hours on a chair in the hall!!! So unprofessional and missorganized!!!!!

A large hospital dating from the 70s, partly renovated, with many specialties and relatively correct care but very uncertain depending on the services as in many public assistance hospitals in general... We can therefore go there from heaven to hell, often with adorable and caring teams in intensive care or intensive care units and other totally overwhelmed teams with little regard for their patients because they are understaffed in many others services...

On the 3rd floor Orthopedic department: Caregivers, nurse, friendly staff overall 👍 Arthrodesis + laminectomy operation Dr Solène Prost service teacher Tropiano All the pain went well and was well treated. 5 days hospital Return home for 4 weeks to recover peacefully. Then start of physiotherapy rehabilitation.

I was taken to the Urgences here by ambulance and I have never had such an awful experience. The nurse who was looking after me was completely cold and uncaring despite the fact I has a blocked intestine and was not only I’m agony but kept blacking and vomiting. At one point when he saw me vomiting he said “don’t you think you are exaggerating a bit”! It took 6 hours before I had a scan and in that time I was left alone and given no blanket despite being soaked in sweat from the pain. When I finally went upstairs to the operating theatre, the experience was much better. I know this hospital has some great doctors and the surgeon who operated on me did an amazing job. My criticism is uniquely directed at the a&e “urgences” here which is just not good enough. All the staff were uncaring and cold and I felt scared and abandoned which is not what one should feel in hospital. Sorry, but a little more humanity would mean less stress to patients!

New to the institute, I am reassured to be treated there. People who listen, full of gentleness and kindness. Returning to these places is quite anxiety-inducing, but when we see how we are welcomed there, we take these moments with more lightness.

The Bergonié Institute is truly at the top on all levels. A wonderful organization, which allowed me not to stress about making appointments. These are grouped together on the same day given the distance from my home. Every department I have been to I have met caring, smiling, gentle and professional staff and let's not forget to say very competent. Top anesthetist and surgeon, thank you.

What to say ? Extraordinary, attentive and competent... just yesterday, I was there; my surgeon, my nurses are more than "on top" of gentleness, smile and everything... if you have serious health concerns, this is the place... if my surgeon retires at the end of this year, I will think of her very much because she is sublime and she deserves "a little" rest - What skill! Thanks to them all.

My comment only concerns the space which serves as a cafeteria.... a long wait... in the cold!! Talk to you about it, we send you for a walk, I hear the security agent making fun of my request, and tells his colleague that he is under the air conditioning, ... in short, frozen radiator, when wait, and we eat in the cold, I can tell you that it is most unpleasant

SCANDALOUS!!! Where does our money go??? In an obscene parking rate, only one cash register at the end, puddles everywhere, a swimming pool (1 meter wide, 2 meters long and 10 centimeters deep) to get out and reach the ICL, and a Pyramid staircase Mayan slippery, because the totally necessary elevator for people with reduced mobility is BROKEN.

Operated by Dr. HEJL at the end of July, I have excellent memories of my brief visit to the 5th floor just after my operation. The nursing staff (and non-nursing staff) were adorable... I take my hat off to them for their work which is not easy every day. A little nod to this duo of caregivers with whom one morning we imitated the meows of the 😸 in front of the anesthetist! (I occupied room 502 until August 3) Really thank you for your good care! The meals were of high quality and appetizing (which is rather rare in hospitals). I can say that in my case the support was perfect.

Today we visited the allergy department with our child. I really liked the service. The doctor spoke very nicely with my child. The inspection was good. We did an allergy test. Everything is fine and I'm very happy😊

My husband received wonderful care at A&E and intensive care after experiencing a heart attack on holiday last October 2022. Speedy treatment and attentive nursing while in CHU for two weeks prior to repatriation to the UK. Could not have had better treatment. A huge thank you to the doctors and staff who looked after him. We are very grateful.

My brother Christopher had the most excellent care in accident and emergency for a pulmonary embolism. I know he is very grateful to the drs and nurses that night. They were kind caring and amazingly speedy to diagnose and find a medication. Compared to the normal experience in the U.K. the French system that night was incredible and they also called him back for a check up in a week, again with an amazing dr so sympathetic, that would be two to three months in the U.K. The staff treated him with dignity and compassion. Living in the Paris region, in March 2023 I performed a colonoscopy at the Clinique Ste Marie (Cergy) revealing the existence of a non-cancerous polyp in the rectum. In April 2023, I contacted Doctor Mourregot at the ICM for a second opinion. The ICM then diagnosed me with stage 3 cancer. Everything is accelerating! Chemotherapy treatment (3 months) accompanied by chemoradiotherapy (1 month) are implemented. To date, I would like to share my experience with anyone who has questions about the care provided by the ICM. I was very well cared for, very well surrounded by a team of competent, professional, thoughtful, attentive and above all attentive doctors, nurses and healthcare staff. I responded very well to the treatments offered. I have complete confidence in this healthcare facility. Follow-up and surgery in the context of cancer. Serious and respectful institute. The oncologists, dct fabro and dct quesada, referred me to the surgeon, prof. Colombo, a human professional and very attentive. Intensive care department with little care, same kindness once in the surgery department, apart from the head of department who should be avoided, and who could benefit from training in empathy. Despite this, I remain satisfied and grateful to the institute which has my full confidence.

I was followed by the ICM. I have never seen anywhere else the interest they show in their patient. Everything is coordinated planned. The staff is extremely empathetic, kind and attentive.
