The good, the bad and the ugly... Be prepared to fight for your basic rights, it's a lottery. Hostage taking, badly behaved staff members are doing a lot of damage. It's unfortunate that dominance over helpless, vulnerable patients seems to be the main objective for some of your members. A hospital is a sacred place not a soap opera set. Mediation and management teams need to understand this. Patients and their loved ones have enough to manage as it is. You will find helpful, communicative, respectful, kind individuals working alongside abusive, rude, disturbed, unhappy, patronizing staff. Finally, a big shout out to mature individuals in this hospital who put up with churlish staff, who understand what teamwork means and do their best to help patients, heart&soul.

I am so grateful for the emergency care I received. The staff were so efficient, kind and patient with a non-French speaker. The hospital was clean and quiet. Took only 2 hours for consultation, X-ray, and diagnosis. Thank you, HUG!

Alert: avoid this hospital for giving birth. During my labor in August, the anaesthetist came very late and failed her job. She did not manage to give me the pain killer Epidural as agreed prenatal, which resulted in an extremely painful delivery. The doctor did not even accomplish the basic task. very disappointed. will not recommend USZ at all.

I am a tourist that presented to the emergency room with stroke symptoms (headache and memory issues). The care was excellent! Every staff member was very caring and knowledgeable! Everyone was very personable. I have worked in Healthcare in the United States for 40 years and feel the care I received far exceeded what I have seen or experienced in the US. Zurich can be proud of their outstanding medical center! A stroke was ruled out and I was diagnosed with amnesia related to a migraine! I can Dr. Highly recommend Fähnle Head Physician Endometriosis Center. Dr. Fähnle has a great deal of specialist knowledge, takes a lot of time for his patients and responds to their needs. A doctor that you can hardly find these days with the enormous time pressure. Simply great!

Apparently you have to be a VIP member or have private insurance to be treated reasonably well there. It's a pity that it's not only in this hospital/profession that customers are treated unfriendly and employees are bullied.☹🙁

It should be possible to give no stars at all. I had a very bad experience at the surgery department. The surgery department gave me the wrong medication and as a result the X-ray of my stomach was not what it should have been. The doctor did not write the whole truth in my report, which prompted me to contact the ombudsman. I asked for a new appointment at another hospital. Since he didn't write why I have to do a repeat of this whole investigation. Of course I had to take the 6 pills again, but without the wrong medication, and my X-ray showed a completely different picture. I will never, ever recommend this doctor and department!

Recently had surgery in the Frauenklinik. Was really well looked after, even though I speak no German and majority of nurses did not have a lot of English- they still were able to look after me really well. The doctors were great, fluent in English and had great bed side manner. They took a huge amount of care when explaining the results of the surgery and made me feel very well looked after. Would recommend using this hospital.

Extremely long waiting hours, lack of patient follow up and communication. Everything is disorganised and doctors act like they don't care much about patients. And at the end they send you huge bills for a service that I would rate zero stars. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone.

I have to compliment this hospital. I had a genuine emergency with palpitations and was diagnosed with SVT. Despite being Asian and a tourist, they kindly accepted me and admitted me immediately! The receptionist, nurses and doctors were all super professional, I was extremely impressed. Thank you for providing me with life-saving healthcare, I will be forever grateful. It was expensive but necessary treatment.

I have been here twice both emergency cases. In each one of the cases I had to wait 8 and 7 hours respectively and received very rude treatment. I would not go there as long as you are really in a life threatening situation.

The best experience in an hospital in my entire life. Came in at 13:00 with a leg injury and got X-ray, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment in less than 3 hours. Every single person of the personnel I dealt with was nice, professional and friendly. Special thank you to Miss Müller at the Notfall, she was the first one to see and check me and even took the time during the visit to explain me literally everything I needed to know. What a truly passionate person, thank you!!

Excellent care before, during and after surgery. Friendly and attentive nurses that are available 24/7 and arrive quickly at the call of a button. The private room is spacious, clean and equipped with anything you may need for your overnight stay. The room service team take into account your dietary requirements and offers options for all your meals.

I had an ACL reconstruction surgery with Dr Gardon and my experience was great, even though it is rough to have this kind of procedure. All the nurses were absolutely wonderful with me; I could not have asked for a better experience.
