Cardiac resynchronization therapy with pacemaker (CRT-P) in 1 Cardiac surgery clinic in Birmingham

I used the hospital to have the services of Mr Afifi as I was due a hysterectomy due to endometriosis. Katie, his PA is excellent and always on hand to help and support. However, the booking staff were terrible with communication. I received wrong information numerous times prior to my pre op and operation and found myself making daily calls to resolve the matter. I made a complaint to the PA to the Surgeon and still nothing improved. Even on the day of my pre assessment I didn't have all the right information - wrong time and no address. When in hospital the majority of the staff were good however the communication between the nurses was not good and it was clear, as they messages regarding my requests were not been answered. Each nurse told different story for medication and recovery and it took one Healthcare assistant (Marty) to come in and get things under control and a proper plan in place. I only had one night approved by the insurance company and I ended up needing 2 nights due to not feeling well after the surgery. The staff were too focused on getting me out to make space for another patient that I was furious and stressed. I assured the staff that I was happy to pay the extra night and so was my insurance company. I was spoken to by at least 5 staff members to try and move me out when clearly I didn't have the confidence to leave the hospital because of my condition. We normally use another private hospital in London and I can assure that from now on we won't be using Circle Health Group again. The communication overall was not acceptable, the staff on the ward show they are overworked and tired and in turn pass this onto the patients. They are more focused on treating each patient as a business and not as a patient. Overall I was not happy with my experience and going forward will not use your business again.

I can’t fault the care and kindness of everyone who was involved in my surgery and on the ward afterwards. I had surgery two days ago and my surgeon was brilliant, he talked through everything with me and came to personally visit me on the ward twice to check in on me and answer any questions I had. I was admitted to Dudley ward and every single one of the nursing team that were on the ward were fantastic, they looked after me and are so kind and caring. I would love to thank each of them individually as I feel they went above and beyond. I would highly recommend my surgeon and the hospital to anyone who asked me where I had it done.

Everything was fantastic, in particular the nursing staff- Camilla, Marty and Mandy were fantastic. Everyone was friendly and kind and tried to make my stay as pleasant as possible. The food selection was great (even for fussy vegans like me!) I had a few issues after my surgery but the nursing team were brilliant and really went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable and knew what to expect.

Wonderful service. I was seen promptly and and treated so kindly and treatment arranged. I have such faith in the doctor I saw and will have no worries for my next appointment.

Today I attended the clinic for an angiogram and what might have been a nerve wracking day turned into a totally positive experience. Every member of staff, without exception, was welcoming, friendly, highly professional and efficient. Anyone anticipating a visit to the clinic can be assured that, from start to finish, their concerns will be identified and addressed. My heartfelt thanks go to the whole team. Cheers Geoff Moore

I had an ablation with an overnight stay last week, from which I am making a good recovery. This clinic is is super clean, really well equipped and comfortable. The staff were all amazing which made such a difference to the whole experience. It was an anxious moment walking through the doors, but that soon melted away as I was looked after with such professionalism, kindness and empathy. I felt safe and well cared for. Thank you to all the staff who played a part in my care, from reception, to the cath lab staff, anaesthetist, the nursing staff and to my EP Dr. Haywood. You are doing an amazing job.

Wow, amazingly friendly and very helpful staff at all 3 reception desks (A&E, Urgent Treatment and the general receptiondesk in-between the two), they all know their job/role and were incredibly efficient. Once we found where we were going there was little time to wait as the attentive staff team followed procedures and helped my friend. If I ever need a good hospital in the future I hope I'm close to this one. Thank you to all the staff at all levels. Keep up the great work. 👍 😊

Here today, wednesday 29th November 2023, in St Mary's for day surgery and being looked after wonderfully....absolutely nothing is too much trouble! Staff are so friendly...thankyou Debs and everyone involved for looking after me...you are all a huge credit to the NHS and have made me feel so very relaxed and at ease. For the first time in a long time. I felt like I was listening to the happiest news of something not so good. But after going to AE 4 weekends in a row. Seen the specialist and they are appalled that treated this way and now caused long term irreversible problems.. so if it wasn't for someone listening to me st Mary's would have had 1 star.

My time as an inpatient at Ross Hall went smoothly & I was made to feel comfortable & felt that everything was explained clearly & staff ensured that I was never in need. However, the discharge process could be a little more streamlined, but other than that I was impressed with the service I recieved.

I can honestly say I was delighted with the whole experience. I have never had an operation before and was totally at ease from the minute I walked through the door. The staff at Ross Hall are nothing short of excellent, my consultant was amazing, the porters, reception staff, and especially the nurses, who went over and above for me, were just great. I am so grateful and would highly recommend Ross Hall time and time again.

I received day surgery here for an issue after 2 years and wish it was only sooner if I had only known about them then. For it being a hospital of course there helping all these individuals through their personal medical journeys, but as soon as I walked through the doors it carried a warm light atmosphere and every single person was polite, smiley, happy and helpful with high warm energies. Truly was an exceptionally experience and most definitely could never see a mistake being made the amount of checks and repeats and signing off ensuring no room for error on that part. The surgeon Dr Paterson was every thing you could hope for instantly brings that energy were you feel safe and grateful he’s carrying out the procedure. Well done Ross Hall Hospital!

I would like to give a massive thank you to Sarah Hoyle, Mr Berber, my whole experience at the Park hospital was fantastic, every step of the way from being contacted by Sarah, admissions, Mr Berber and his team, right the way through to the caterers and porters. I have to say I was made very welcome and treated with respect

Due to the unfortunate pressure on the NHS it's necessary to have to fall back on private care on occasions. My Mum was in this situation and went here for a joint replacement operation. Impressed by respectful and professional manner in which she was cared for. Building interior itself is modern and completely spotless.

I was looked after extremely well at The Park Hospital, and treated with respect at all times. My room was very comfortable and the staff were always on hand for any needs I had, not to mention a joke or two! The food was lovely, a good choice of menu and always beautifully cooked and presented. So my thanks to all of the staff who looked after me, with special appreciation to Mr Henley and his team who were outstanding.

Excellent team. Everyone were professional, did their jobs with so much care, empathy, and expertise, all with cheerful faces. The hospital is super clean, the best I've seen in the UK. Overall, I I've them 10 🌟 Sending a special thanks to Dr Mamidanna, Nurse Ola, Ana, Kumba and Tia. My meal of prawn and mayonnaise sandwich, vanilla ice cream and hot chocolate was like something from a 5* hotel. Excellently presented by an impeccably clean and well dressed kitchen staff (not sure what they're called in hospital) Please keep up this standard. Thank you.

Yes,certainly. My surgery took place on 17/10/23. I was treated inhumanly on the day of admission. I am a diabetic patient. From the time of admission till the time of operation I was not offered any food. It was almost 3-4 hours without food. I was shivering. once I come back from the OT my husband went outside to buy food for me. Only then I had some food before my release from the hospital. I had an follow up appointment on 28/11/23 with Miss Madi which I have attended. She didn't look into my eye with care. She was in a hurry to finish my appointment. It was less than 2 minute. She was busy with her mobile phone. If I knew this earlier I wouldn't come long way for this appointment as I have waited long after the surgery for this follow up appointment. I will definitely not recommend anyone to be seen by this Consultant.

was a really great process from start to finish. good discussions and advice with the consultant / surgeon. discussion from anaesthetist was very brief but reassuring nonetheless. everyone at the hospital for consultations to overnight stay was excellent. and post op care with physio is great too.

My treatment during my procedure and after was amazing. The Nurses especially Heidi & Sky were fantastic. I suffer with terrible anxiety and after the procedure my nerves were horrendous. I was having panic attacks continuously throughout the afternoon, together with low blood pressure and the effects of that. The nursing team and doctor were so supportive, kind and caring towards me. They made me feel very safe and cared for even when I was very frightened. After I got up unfortunately I had a bleed from my wound. There were nurses and a doctor with me within seconds of the alarm call. They stopped the bleed and help me to calm down. At this point Heidi made the call the keep me in overnight due to the bleed and my nerves. They were so kind as to let my partner stay with me in the room all night and provided her with blankets, pillows and refreshments throughout the night and into the morning. The overnight team were also incredible with me and I was discharged in the morning feeling relaxed and content that I was okay. I cannot thank everyone enough for the care.

Every member of staff was so lovely, helpful and wanted to help. I have never felt more looked after in a hospital setting so thank you. Massive thank you to every Nurse, support worker, physio that looked after me, not forgetting Mr Shah who did an amazing job of my surgery. I am so grateful.

The staff and care that they provided has been outstanding. I have been in the hospital for 3 days for a total knee replacement, I really could not fault the level of care and attention to detail from any of the staff, from the surgeon to the anaesthetist, nurses, physios and wider support staff. The room was great, well looked after and the food was beautiful. Highly recommended
