Fantastic service from the time we walked in the door on Friday… admin staff, Nurses, surgeon, anaesthetic doctors, I can’t thank you all enough for your wonderful care!

It depends on the staff you get as to how you are treated. I got barked at by the cook who I seemed to annoy as I’m lactose intolerant. The wait of 5 hours for surgery is not appreciated

A great hospital made so by its staff. The nurses make this a five star place to be (even for those of us who loathe hospitals). The compassion, attention to detail, and FOLLOW THROUGH on things which are promised to take place. Meet anyone in the mingling area outside and there isn’t a bad word to be said for all it’s arenas of practice from mental health, alcohol counselling, pain control and so forth. Management must be doing something right because staff are actually happy doing what they’re doing, which has the obvious follow on effect of stellar patient treatment. Where other places are found wanting, your loved ones will be well taken care of here.

From my wife Christine McKinsley. Had a knee replacement done on 17 aug by Dr Weber. The first few days i wasn't sure how I felt but they discovered my blood was low so after transfusion I got along in leaps and bounds. My heartfelt thanks to the doctor and nursing staff in medical ward and also to the physio staff. You all do a wonderful job. The catering and cleaning staff nursing staff etc were all so friendly and professional. I was in Portsea Ward Thank for taking care of me whilst I was there and I won't hesitate to recommend Beleura hospital to one and all. I recently had a total Hip Replacement at Beleura Private Hospital and also did inpatient Rehabilitation on Mc Crae ward. I cannot thank every single person enough. From the moment I walked in the doors the professionalism and care I received was second to none. I would highly recommend Orthopaedic Surgeon Brad Crick he has done an excellent job for me personally ( thankyou so much ) All the Drs, Nurses, OTs, Physiotherapist, Porters were absolutely amazing they all worked so well as a team and made me feel welcomed and safe ( Thankyou ) Thanks also goes to the catering team the food was excellent ( my trays always went back empty 🙂 ) and the staff were lovely and friendly. All the cleaners were friendly and easy to talk to everyone and did a wonderful job. I'm currently doing outpatient Rehabilitation there and still finding everyone so nice friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for everything you do for your patients. It was a long wait but everyone was kind and kept informing us of wait times and set expectations appropriately. It's such a tough job but you guys are really amazing. I can't say enough kind things about all of you.

Although we are in zone for Middlemore Hospital, we have travelled to the birthing unit here twice. The birthing rooms are clean and tidy. The staff are very helpful. You have your own dedicated nurse while you are in labour. The nurse does an amazing job taking care of the birthing mother throughout the entire process. There are family rooms, and tea facilities for spouses and extended family. We also went to the Tamaki ward for after birth Care for two nights. They have sleeping arrangements available in the room for your spouse. Staff in this ward were fantastic and helpful. Again there is a family room and communal kitchen. Overall the hospital is pretty up-to-date and tidy. My only concern is parking. The car park tends to get full quite early and the parking fees are astronomical. If you are a genuine patient, you should be offered some sort of parking subsidy.

Thumbs up for all the doctors and nurses of Ward83! My dad stayed at room 3 of the high dependency unit, so touch of how hard all staffs taking their duties and so proud of your job and the kindness and loving heart!!

NOT A REGISTERED MYOTHERAPIST !!! Which is required to call yourself a Myotherapist. Coming up from Melbourne I was looking for Myo!! They advertise that they have a Myotherapist as a practitioner… They do NOT… At best the Therapist is a remedial massage therapist.. There is a distinct difference between a Myotherapist and a remedial massage therapist. Their qualifications are completely different, three years of university or the equivalent in vocational training. Remedial is barely eight months and they only learn the superficial anatomy. This is false advertising. If you require a Myotherapist, go to the; massage and Myotherapy website,ANATA Website, Massage Association, website, or the Myotherapy Association of Australia website. Equally, false, is the fact that the information at the bottom of the Therapist page belongs to somebody else not the therapist.

I saw Bridie last year when having some issues with pregnancy related pain. She was amazing. She took the time to carefully review my symptoms and come up with an incredibly effective treatment plan. I walked away almost entirely pain free! Highly recommend her as a top physiotherapist for any pregnancy related pain.

Jemma fixed my back ! I’ve had quite bad ongoing lower back problems from my physically demanding job, lifting large weights and being on my feet all day has taken it’s toll. I was recommended to TSM by my sister who sees a masseuse there. Jemma, my massage therapist gave the most amazing service I’ve ever received! I felt comfortable, understood and heard by her. We talked through my back and posture problems and she knew exactly what parts needed to be worked on. It was painful but I was walking on air when I was out of there. At the end of my session she gave me stretches and tips to keep my posture and back strength up! I’ll be back and I’m recommending her to anyone who needs a GREAT remedial massage! Thank you TSM and Jemma! What a great experience.

I was at Burwood Hospital for 2 weeks in the Rehab Ward going to Physio and working on my injured left ankle. Thanks to the fine work of everyone involved I was able to regain my independence with what I had learned. Everyone who worked there and it didn't matter who it was encouraged me with their attitude,good work ethic and duty of care.They were able to get the best out of me despite the fact the Health Sector is having various problems of it's own to deal with. Although my opinion may differ greatly from others I'm sticking to my opinion that these people who despite working under pressure at times showed me how to get the job done with a smile and I will be forever grateful to them all for the effort they all put in helping me on the road to recovery

I can't speak highly enough of staff and facilities at Burwood. Nice green areas, top quality Cafe.

My partner has been waiting nearly two months for a specialist recommendation letter from Anup George. We have called around 5 times, emailed 3 times and have received nothing. Not good service for someone with a life expectancy of 10 years at 27 years old.

I hade a spine surgery 2 days ago. Thank you Dr Barnes a fantastic job. and Dr Graham .thanks all hard working nurses, they are very friendly, and always look after me. It was absolutely 5 stars

My brother had a full knee replacement at Southern Cross on Tuesday 17/08/2021 and was expected to stay in hospital until at least Thursday 19/08/21. At 11.59pm that day New Zealand went into a Level 4 lockdown. What was Southern Cross Invercargills answer to that? They tried to send my brother home on Wednesday morning 18/08/21 saying the hospital was closed. Where is the duty of care to the patient? He was in a high level of pain and believe it or not without COVID!!! The CARE factor is zero. Even the Surgeon wouldn't carry out face to face assessments! Very, very average, Southern Cross!

Was a great stay. My surgeon was amazing and done an excellent job of my knee replacement. The staff were kind, caring, helpful and compassionate. Food was amazing, great selection tasty and very nourishing. I like that they cater to all food groups. Best hospital experience ever 😊
