Had a hygiene appointment / teeth clean with Bridget last week and was very pleased with the care provided. Ticks all the boxes for me, friendly staff, thorough clean with great attention to detail taken and a gentle overall process. The cleaning was very thorough, firm where needed to remove plaque but overall a gentle and a comfortable process. Very careful and considerate workmanship. She explained the condition of my teeth, areas I can improve in terms of brushing / flossing practices and what I should be aware of without being preachy or critical. I do appreciate a firm but gentle approach that avoids yanking or hard scraping and that was very much achieved. It would be hard to do any better, well done.

What kids dental clinic and the hospital dental care could not solve within months (cracked tooth in a child, which required a root canal) Carpenters dental fixed within 24 h of hearing about it. We had not been with them previously, and Carpenters had been suggested by my dentist (when they themselves could not help) and amazing Tia. I cannot stop highlighting their kind, friendly, uncomplicated and lightning fast service, in what was a stressful, complicated, and bureaucratic matter.

My first appointment with Carpenters after moving back to Palmerston North. A recommendation from a friend, and I was so thrilled with the way I was welcomed and the expert and quick procedures done today. Lovely staff and very happy with my Dentist, as I am gagger from way back, so was a little apprehensive, however, need not have worried. Very impressed.

The kiwi Indian doctor in the rehabilitation department is rude, unprofessional and lack of respect towards Asian women. He shouted to my mom in room when my grandfather was admitted to hospital (last 3 days of his life). The caregivers r awful, when visitors left, the caregivers don’t even pass water and pills closer to my sick grandpa. I completely have lost hope in this hospital. Please put a camera for your loved ones in this hospital you will know how they are really being treated. Hospital should take feedback seriously!

Great experience today with a day surgery for my daughter. Wasn't to long of a wait..staff are so busy and do a great job. Great friendly staff. So helpful and caring. Very lovely with my daughter who was super nervous.. Thank you 😊

I was admitted promptly and every nurse that looked after me went above and beyond. Special shout out to Regan who is a superstar! All of the staff from reception to wardies were amazing and made a painful experience much more bearable. Thank you

Fantastic modern building, well laid out with a large cafe on the bottom floor, food is great, good selection. Coffee is also good. Excellent accessibility with a large number of disabled parks close to the entrance. Parks are well sized with plenty of room for disability equipment to be loaded in and out. Follow the signage and the carpark layout is easy enough.

February 2023 current inpatient. I have very specific dietary needs. FODMAP lactose intolerant, sensitive to gluten etc I think the kitchen staff are limbo dancers. They have bent over backwards to help me eat well and to follow the dietitian's advice. I cannot thank them enough for the effort they have put into keeping me healthy. Real cheese would be nice though!!!!. Thanks to their care in meal planning I should be able to go home next week But, I will miss the meatballs, roast beef and cheesecake. I hope they realise how wonderful they are. THANK YOU from Cas 🌹🥰🌹

I was at Burwood Hospital for 2 weeks in the Rehab Ward going to Physio and working on my injured left ankle. Thanks to the fine work of everyone involved I was able to regain my independence with what I had learned. Everyone who worked there and it didn't matter who it was encouraged me with their attitude,good work ethic and duty of care.They were able to get the best out of me despite the fact the Health Sector is having various problems of it's own to deal with. Although my opinion may differ greatly from others I'm sticking to my opinion that these people who despite working under pressure at times showed me how to get the job done with a smile and I will be forever grateful to them all for the effort they all put in helping me on the road to recovery

We came to the Emergency tonight because my 9 months old baby has been having 39+ fever. Security didn’t even ask if we had an emergency or anything, just rudely asked us to ‚move it’ because we came in a camper van and somebody reported us?! We just parked there to have her nursed before going inside! I feel so violated by this treatment and rather go somewhere else! Great to see how people here treat travellers.

I have been experiencing pain in my ear, which has resulted in a headache since yesterday. Despite taking ibuprofen, the pain has worsened, and I have not been able to sleep. I tried booking an appointment with an after-hours service, but they are fully booked, and I do not want to wait in the emergency department for hours. When I arrived, I was in so much pain that I could not even speak properly, and I felt exhausted. My husband had to answer questions from a nurse, who was rude and unkind to us. She even talked loudly in the lobby, insinuating that I was pretending to be sick. I can walk, but that does not mean I am not in severe pain and unable to speak. The nurse demanded to see me and refused to talk to my husband. I feel miserable, sad, and angry because of the pain and the nurse's behavior. It is unacceptable for a healthcare professional to be unkind to a patient, especially when they are in distress. I hope that one day she experiences the pain I am feeling and is treated with the same rudeness she showed me. Some people like her should not be nurses.

I was recently at the hospital with my daughter who had a severe kidney infection. I can not fault one single doctor, nurse, receptionist, or orderly there. The care she got was amazing from the time she got admitted to the time she got discharged. Seeing first hand what they all cope with really put it in perspective & every single person I had contact with does/is doing an amazing job. I know it isn't everyone's experience but I want people to know just how great our time was there

No words to thank the team at the hospital, during my last stay and now every nurse and doctors had been so supportive ❤️ I know I get stubborn and not take medication or eat much but the nurses are there for me.Even I had bad days they come and try to cheer me up so that I don't feel low. They work so hard in all different shifts. These guys are awesome and they care

My husband went to A&E today and was very impressed with the wonderful responsive care he received. He was transferred to the CDU where a wonderful nurse Lynne looked after him. She was fantastic and got him organised re his follow up in the morning. Had a great sense of humour also. We are very grateful 🥲

This is the most dysfunctional hospital I'm NZ. they do a shift change and forget/deny everything the last nurse or doctor says. you're regularly forgotten and the doctors are incredibly withholding with medication. you may as well stay at home and deal with it.

Worst "private" hospital ever. After a procedure that required a general anesthetic (fully under) and therefore 17hrs of fasting ahead of it, I awoke in a curtained room with 4 other people (one coughing & blowing their nose) to receive a fruit plate with: 2 grapes, 1 slice of kiwi fruit, 2 chunks of pineapple, 1/2 a plum and a triangle of watermelon. When I requested something more substantial so I wouldn't faint walking out, I was offered a gluten free cookie and a ginger beer. If I weren't so appalled, I'd laugh at how pathetic it all was. And I had the honour of co-paying $500 and god knows what the insurer was billed. Never again!

Stayed overnight after surgery and was really impressed with everything. I had Jo and Anna as my nurses who were super friendly, knowledgable and so eager to help with any request. Same thing with the rest of the staff like the nurse in the waiting room, receptionist, anaesthesist etc... It's like the same service you get at a nice hotel 👌

My 2nd time at the hospital. Awesome friendly staff. Nurses are so friendly and helpful. Always there for you when you need it.

Nurses here are wonderful!! I've gone into radiology here at MercyAscot many times. The nurses are kind, caring, empathic and very patient. All my concerns and questions were answered with care and time. Michelle who works in the Radiology as a nurse for the "Heart Group", is simply AMAZING!! Shes brilliant and very empathic. Thanks ❤

Loveliest nurses took care of me so well when I came in for surgery. Rooms are modern and clean. I had a lovely view out the window to some trees.

Entered my registration in the parking machine when I arrived, then again when I was leaving and the machine told me I owed no money so I left. Months later I had a letter at my old house to say I owe $85.
