Leiden is famous for outstanding education institutions with legacy of scholars in different fields.This medical college is famous for its standards and atmosphere. The resounding aura of nature and botanical garden makes it more vibrant.

In 2021 I have give birth in this hospital. I had a horrible and traumatic experience, the staff member were not professional at all, lack of communication, 0 empathy, after 2 years I am still recovering because the experience was so traumatic. I ended with emergency C-section and total anestesy, the midwife was not comunicating with me, telling me what she is doing, nurses were always having bad attitude when I was saying I am in pain, they were like: other patients are also in pain! Also no lactation consultat was available, even though when we discussed on the phone they lied that the consultant was there. No help with lactation, because of them my baby starved for 2 day, I didn't knew how to latch and received 0 help. Basic help was not provided, my husband was helping me changing the sheets when it was too much blood, also my husband was changind the baby and everything else. When the nurse was coming they were bothered that we are disturbing them. If you have another option for giving birth, please Don,t choose this hospital. Not sure if I had this experience because I am an expat and I don't speak English, but anyhow I still have nightmares and treating the ptsd, not that they even cared to check-up on me or provide any help postpartum, so I was on my own.

Apart from the confusing way the floors are numbered, this hospital is the best there is in the Netherlands.

I went whining in pain and they seemed annoyed by that then told me I had to had an appointment to have an emergency and gave a phone number then proceeded to talk to each other in Dutch and stopped recognizing my presence, worst hospital EVER

I’m an international student and I didn’t know how the health care here in the Netherlands works. I have a lump in my throat that makes me feel I can’t breathe. Since in my country (Italy) you can always get assistance I went to the emergency department because I was worried about my thyroid problem and I couldn’t wait until may 30th for the GP. I explained my problem and two nurses were really frustrated and rude, one of them laughed at me by saying “oh you can walk and speak, is it an emergency for you?”, another one: “are you an international student? I knew it!!! you international students always come here for EVERYTHING”. I know I was supposed to do a quick Google before going but I was really worried and they could have said those things in a different way. I give 5 stars to the third nurse that explained to me in a really polite way what to do.

It’s a clean and a well managed facility with friendly officers and doctors. I highly recommend this facility if anyone wants a medical examination done for visa purpose.

Clean hospital. But extremely expensive. They didn't inform us of the costs and we had to pay 10 times of than other european countries.

Terrible service. Completely disorganized, does care at all about their patients. I was begging them for help in resolving a billing issue and every department just ignored me. Do not go to this hospital. I went to this hospital to get an outpatient procedure done which required that I have an attendant with me. The hospital organized for an attendant to be provided, at a fee, from an outside company. On the day of the procedure I was brought to the billing department by member of their "concierge" team, Fernanda. They have an international "concierge" service which basically provides translators so that you can navigate the hospital if your Portugues is not great. At the billing office I was presented with a bill for the cost of the procedure. I agreed to pay it and was then given a credit card machine to make the payment. When the machine arrived, the amount they were requesting was higher than the quoted amount. When I asked Fernanda, she explained that the additional amount was for the cost of the attendant. I paid the invoice and was only provided with a little slip of paper that showed the amount that I had paid. It didn't say what services I had paid for, just that I had paid a certain amount. I then went and got the procedure done. I was put-under, so I don't know how the actual medical procedure went, but from what I saw before I went under, the medical professionals seemed like they were doing a good job. After the procedure was finished, I was brought to the payment office and presented with a new bill. The bill included the additional cost of part of the procedure, the cost to have a biopsy analyzed and the cost of the attendant (which I already paid for). For the next 3 weeks I was going back and forth with the International department, the complaints department and the billing department, trying to get them to acknowledge the fact that I had already paid for the attendant. No one from any of those departments did a single thing to try to help me. Each department passed me off to another department. The complaints department didn't even reply to my complaint. I had to call them up weeks after I had filed a complaint and they were fully aware of the situation, but didn't have enough respect to let me know that they were working on my case or bother to email or call me to help get it resolved. Neither did the International department. When I asked them to help me resolve the issue they just said "this is not my department, I don't know anything about billing" even though FERNANDA was there and was the one that explained to me that I was paying for the the price of the attendant. The billing department just kept sending me the same invoice over and over again and never acknowledging that I had paid for the attendant. It was only when I finally decided to go to the hospital and pay the bill that anything got done. I had to physically go to the International department and demand that they resolve the issue that instant. I spent another 2 hours going to different departments with the "concierge" lady, getting into arguments and explaining over and over what had happened. It was only then, that they acknowledged that the woman who processed my payment allocated the entire amount to the cost of the procedure, which was why this bill for the attendant was still outstanding. At my insistence they finally removed the charge and I was able to pay the invoice. If you go to a Brazilain Hospital, make sure that you get an itemized invoice for every single payment that you make. A little slip of paper with the amount on it is not enough. They will change the amount that you owe them and you have no proof of what you have already paid for. At the end of the day, I probably wasted about 4-5 hours of my time writing emails, sending messages on Whatsapp and arguing with the staff at the hospital. Not to mention all of the frustration it caused. This could have been resolved after 1 email, had anyone at the hospital taken ownership of the problem and been accountable. DO NOT GO HERE - THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS

Imagine being in a wheelchair, trying to get into urgent care for a surgery you had there, and not being helped about when you arrive, somehow managed to get into the triage and then be left alone, then get the need to use the bathroom at a place not clearly design to be used for people with mobility issues, then the only person available to help you is another patient passing by. It's such a shame that all of this happened here, where I have yet to get medical attention for my urgent needs.

Ralf Stephani: In this hospital at the beginning of March, I was given great help in eliminating my hip pain. The team around Dr. Moore worked absolutely professionally with great success. Thanks, couldn't be better! May/ June 2023 After I received such great help on my right hip in March 2023 and I had an unshakeable trust in Dr. Jose Luis Moore Velasques, I asked him to operate on my left hip as soon as possible. Already on May 7th, 2023 I had an operation on my left hip because of unbearable pain. In several clinics I was told that 12 months should elapse between operations. Not so with the doctor I trust. Just 4 days later I flew back to Curacao pain-free. The painkillers were left untouched in the bedside table! Suddenly being able to walk pain-free again was Mr dr Jose Luis Moore Velasques to me. No helpers, no pitying looks, no pain! Being able to participate in normal life again was wonderful. My physiotherapist told me he had never seen such a professional surgical scar in his 20 years of experience. Do not come here even if you think that your dying or have any serious medical problem, absolutely terrible care and attention takes 6-12 hours for them to even do simple blood test or any real examinations. Really there rating should BE honest and lower then where it currently is, also technologically speaking their WAY behind.

If you need immediate medical attention do not come here this is absolutely the worst hospital I've ever had to come, unfortunately, I almost died here from a heart attack and they did nothing to help me except treat me like a ragdoll. Absolute garbage attention and no care for the patients, I literally had to waddle my way out of that hospital as If this is a movie, I would give them ZERO STARS if I could, save uour time and go elsewhere.

High-end & premium hospital with very poor services. Everything is slow and unsystematic. Average waiting time is around 1hr ++ at each location (from at the clinic reception, meds collection at the pharmacy) The clinic receptionist were very unprofessional, loudly gossiping about their other colleague at the front desk area, I can clearly hear what they were talking while I was sitting at the other end of the room. There are more than 4 counters at the pharmacy but only 1 pharmacist was on duty at a time to hand over meds to the customers. I think the service at some gov hospitals are far way better than here.

Exellent service, all the staff, nurse and the doctor are amazing, you know that the are working wholeheartedly. The hospital is clean, treatment is done with procedure which make patient not waiting to long.

You can be in pain in comfort. The service is always efficient, with friendly and comforting nurses and doctors. There is a porter man that will accompany and bring you to xray places. The menu is always yummy and you can choose your food from the menu one day ahead. Everything is healthy but flavourful. The room is a single room with a sofa bed for someone to accompany you. Since I am covered by insurance, the cost is not under me, but I have to be referred with a referral letter and admitted. Otherwise, it would be quite costly to be treated here.

as the translator Mona dialect was different (as arabic speaker), but her dealing with me was very good and so cooperative and helpful.. the doctors are good (yasemin kiraç/ahmet duran/aynur aliyeva)but the nurses are bad except the senior nurse on floor 0/ next to the kids room💐💐

I was coming to this hospital for a long time and Iam so happy to share my thoughts with the world. The service the doctors and also the international department team was always helpful and kind to me specially thanks to miss Sabah hassan for being such a hardworking and well spoken interpreter.

I was very satisfied with the help that the translator Ms. Mahnaz gave me during the treatment process in this hospital. She was very polite and very responsible, even when the hospital system was having trouble giving receipts, she helped me to get the payment receipt, also for other information like insurance.

And if there were even more stars I would click them, a doctor who is not only competent but of infinite humanity which combined with professionalism makes a doctor an exceptional man

My partner had surgery in December (mitral valve prolapse) the surgery was decisive and the recovery was very fast. Within a month he was back to his usual life as if nothing had happened. A memorable experience for me, my wife and our lovely baby. Nature of medical concern: Baby Delivery, pre and post experience. For context, my wife delivered our baby here but we came endorsed by other clinic once my wife was nearing her due date since her insurance converage is limited only. Having stated this, once we started coming to aster after being endorsed by our previous clinic, I could say it was a pleasant experience. The checkups were hassle free as you can make appointment through their well established system and the receptionist will guide you through. Doctor Jisha Pradeep was our assigned gynecologist who helped us throughout the process. She was well known and always recommended and I can attest as to why. However, I would like to mention also Doctor Sabitha, she was the first doctor before Doc. Jisha who also attended to my and honestly she was very nice and sincere to us. Both Doctor Jisha and Doctor Sabitha answered all our questions with sincerity and care. Additionally, our gratitude also to Doctor Thanuja who was the doctor in the ER/maternal delivery section (i hope i am right) - she was the one who attended my wife during the actual delivery. She speaks calmly, assuring and with sincerity which helps both me and my wife be at ease during a very unerving situation. Special thanks also to all the attending nurses who assisted us all the way, I made sure to get all their names to express my gratitude: Nurse Deepa, Tijii, Rincy, Anjaly, Sonia, Ajini and Tina. I would like to mention also the janitorial staff that night, Ms. Prema, she always assisted me whenever I need help opening the access doors - with a smile. Post delivery, all the staff from the Baby Unit was very courteous and caring. They will check up on my wife every now and then and give us a lot of valuable points/tips for the baby. Great experience every time I do my routine follow-up with Dr. Taori and his team. Nurse Minci always ensures I am well attended and the process is smooth until I am completed, and Nurse Pinku Ann has a tender care hand when collecting blood samples especially in my case, she performs skillfully in a way I will always feel secured. Dr. Taori has been my doctor for more than 5 years who not only has outstanding knowledge of my treatment options but also provides the quality of medical care I require. I am so grateful for the excellent care that I received at your hospital. Everyone was kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I used to get my appendix out here. They're not that good. In the operating room I woke up during the operation and no excuses but since then I have had nightmares for years afterwards and I still have documents from that time and will now check for damages. Back then I was 10-11 years old and today I'm 47 and was hunting for it Nightmares whoever it happened to. And do you also have documents with the name of the treating doctor? Don't go here. Even my grandma was in there because of her hip and after that it went downhill. I'll never go to German slaughterhouses again. If you come abroad or go to neighboring countries, the doctors are better, even when taking blood there are differences. Bad doctors, some people really express their displeasure and I think that the 4-5 stars were bought by the hospital. You have been silent for years. Nowadays you can also watch it on television. In Denmark you doctors have a bad reputation. If you ever want to emigrate if you are a doctor then why not go to Denmark because it is noticeable here how bad you are and some people behave like they deliver in the hospital, they would have been sorted out here long ago. Who else is laughed at in the op? Maybe there's more than the hospital can handle. You can always start a survey that can be done publicly and at the chamber. The more you report what happened to you, the sooner the bad doctors come out and who didn't treat you well. If they are immoral to you, report them to the chamber and you'll sort out the black sheep. They paid so many to get the stars. And so many people giving full points says it all. If you don't want any damage then it's better to go to another hospital. And that will be everywhere soon. Besides the exam. I also send it to the Medical Association. And continue so that the neighboring countries pay more attention to what they are like when they are looking for a new job. A German woman recently lost her job in a retirement home because she drank on duty. She goes back to Germany with greetings to a retirement home there. Very bad reputation when it comes to doctors.

My mother had her thyroidectomy surgery done here recently. She was hospitalised for a total of 5 days. Her Thyroid gland was exceptionally huge, but Dr Marius Kivilis managed to remove the entire gland in one surgery. He has done a fantastic job and my mother's recovery has been very smooth. It was a very difficult surgery that we passed with ease. The nursing team were exceptionally kind and attentive. They were going above and beyond their duty to ensure the patients and their families felt comfortable and cared for. You could see that they care for you as a person who is going through a hard time, as opposed to "another patient" who will be leaving the hospital soon. The ward was clean and airy, with plenty of natural light. overall, we were very satisfied with the procedure and the service, Thank you Augusta Krankenhaus! :)

if you have an emergency, run away from this place, they are the worst people, the doctor on the ambulance who got us there was begging them to accept a patient who had a big cardiac problem and the doctors from this place sent him away, later that night he had a big cardiac crysis and almost died, we went to another hospital who immediately put him in ICU, wondering how the other hospital could do this. These people can't treat a sore throat, or our patient arived there before our envelope of money for the doctors did.

The staff is very good and take care of all details , the room is clean and always there is a follow up all over the day . Catering staff is very nice and provide on time and well -prepared meals that fulfill patient expectations.

A thoroughly professional and pleasant service during my 3-day stay at The Specialty. The staff in Level 1 wards were exceptional and the hygiene and care brilliant. Lovely cafe, too. Prices better than most.

2 months ago was my aunt's valve change operation and it was a complete success. I am very grateful for everything they did before, during and after the operation. The months before the operation, each of the specialists showed a very humane treatment, an adjective that paradoxically is seen less and less in doctors. After the operation, they kept her hospitalized for more than 3 weeks and did not discharge her until the tests they performed daily gave good results, that is, without showing any rush to free up a bed, prioritizing the patient's safety. Everyone spoke English, I felt very safe in their hands. Doctor Nguyen Vinh Toan explained everything and answered all my questions , super nice and also the pharmacy . The cost for consolidation is 1300k and after 5pm it's 1800k.

Big and beautiful clinic, but the tests are too expensive (compared to Russia or even South Korea). The doctor I visited seemed professional. She sent me my test results the email along with drug prescription. For the price of services, I don’t know why they are so expensive. Teeth cleaning is more expensive than in Spain. Why do they think it’s OK to rip off foreigners? Not every tourists comes from US, and not everybody is rich.

It’s horrible experience when my friend examined in Department of traumatic and orthopaedics surgery. This comes from the attitude of the main doctor who was responsible for examining my friend, just a cursory diagnose without any appointment for in-depth examination. Terribly, he not only did not find the result but also OUTRAGED my friend because she uses insurance. More detail about this case, my friend has had a backache for a week so she decided to examine in Vinmec Time City with an advance appointment. When she came, a doctor named Hùng treat my friend uúnatisfactorily. He just touched her back and gave a conclusion with a doubt. And then, he told my friend should move on another medical department for examining. She did followed by the guide. But, no result was found in this department, doctor in here brought my friend back to the first department. In the second meeting, Dr. Hùng still stated that my friend was fine, just need doing more exercises, and he gave my friend an impolite attitude with a blame on using insurance in examining. Thus, the result my friend gave through the examine was AN OUTRAGE instead of a medical conclusion.
