The hospital is good, but in my opinion it can improve more. There are doctors and others not so nice and thoughtful. The reception is good, some people (receptionists) are polite, friendly ... The same in relation to the security guards. There should be more integration, communication among the coworkers. As I told you it could be better, even in its standard procedure, being more effective,

Excellent service and support regarding many domains. We had a undergo and the whole staff was extremely supportive (from the first approach, passing by intensive care and ending on maternity domain).

Never again!
I took my girlfriend to this hospital because she was having strong abdominal pains on 07/02/21. The two doctors were recent graduates v. inexperienced. One of them actually told me that Coca-Cola was a good drink for hidration!!!
Today we spent most of our day worrying that we may have contracted Covid seen as one in every 5 staff members were either not wearing a mask or wearing them inappropriately. We had complained to the night manager, who didn't care less!
To pay for the treatment they tell you to go to talk to a manager in his glass office. This guy not only charged us 5000 Reais which is an obscene amount, but had zero empathy or people skills.
And to think that the doctor actually wanted her to stay overnight, probably to be able to bill me ten times as much!!!
This hospital has some serious issues.

Everything was excellent, from the operating team (special thanks to the amazing doctor Alexandre Santa Cruz, the best orthopedic surgeon there is!!!) until the nursing staff (impeccable and extremely professional, available and kind), the cleaning service (very effective) to the food!!!! (I never ate so well in a hospital!!!). The medical and customer care are so good that you enjoy being there and feel extremely safe and protected until you are ready to return home! Congratulations to all parties!!! I fully recommend this hospital!

Great service, good atmosphere, absolutely friendly staff, excellent meals, first class medical assistance. Parking is not for free, but very well organized. For patients and visits it's more convenient going by cab. All good there!

Terrible service. Completely disorganized, does care at all about their patients. I was begging them for help in resolving a billing issue and every department just ignored me. Do not go to this hospital.
I went to this hospital to get an outpatient procedure done which required that I have an attendant with me. The hospital organized for an attendant to be provided, at a fee, from an outside company. On the day of the procedure I was brought to the billing department by member of their "concierge" team, Fernanda. They have an international "concierge" service which basically provides translators so that you can navigate the hospital if your Portugues is not great. At the billing office I was presented with a bill for the cost of the procedure. I agreed to pay it and was then given a credit card machine to make the payment. When the machine arrived, the amount they were requesting was higher than the quoted amount. When I asked Fernanda, she explained that the additional amount was for the cost of the attendant. I paid the invoice and was only provided with a little slip of paper that showed the amount that I had paid. It didn't say what services I had paid for, just that I had paid a certain amount. I then went and got the procedure done. I was put-under, so I don't know how the actual medical procedure went, but from what I saw before I went under, the medical professionals seemed like they were doing a good job. After the procedure was finished, I was brought to the payment office and presented with a new bill. The bill included the additional cost of part of the procedure, the cost to have a biopsy analyzed and the cost of the attendant (which I already paid for). For the next 3 weeks I was going back and forth with the International department, the complaints department and the billing department, trying to get them to acknowledge the fact that I had already paid for the attendant. No one from any of those departments did a single thing to try to help me. Each department passed me off to another department. The complaints department didn't even reply to my complaint. I had to call them up weeks after I had filed a complaint and they were fully aware of the situation, but didn't have enough respect to let me know that they were working on my case or bother to email or call me to help get it resolved. Neither did the International department. When I asked them to help me resolve the issue they just said "this is not my department, I don't know anything about billing" even though FERNANDA was there and was the one that explained to me that I was paying for the the price of the attendant. The billing department just kept sending me the same invoice over and over again and never acknowledging that I had paid for the attendant. It was only when I finally decided to go to the hospital and pay the bill that anything got done. I had to physically go to the International department and demand that they resolve the issue that instant. I spent another 2 hours going to different departments with the "concierge" lady, getting into arguments and explaining over and over what had happened. It was only then, that they acknowledged that the woman who processed my payment allocated the entire amount to the cost of the procedure, which was why this bill for the attendant was still outstanding. At my insistence they finally removed the charge and I was able to pay the invoice. If you go to a Brazilain Hospital, make sure that you get an itemized invoice for every single payment that you make. A little slip of paper with the amount on it is not enough. They will change the amount that you owe them and you have no proof of what you have already paid for. At the end of the day, I probably wasted about 4-5 hours of my time writing emails, sending messages on Whatsapp and arguing with the staff at the hospital. Not to mention all of the frustration it caused. This could have been resolved after 1 email, had anyone at the hospital taken ownership of the problem and been accountable. DO NOT GO HERE - THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS

I was in the emergency room on Monday 01/17 at night.
Although few people when I arrived, the mess was widespread.
Dirty and cramped medication rooms. Employees' cell phone ringing during work hours. Delay in service and lack of information. Many employees with part of the uniform.
I have been going to the hospital for over 20 years and the situation has never been worse.

I had a surgical procedure and stayed at BLOCO E and was assisted at the admission reception by Maurício, who explained everything about how the hospital works and how my stay would be. Great service.
To get to the block, very well signposted on the ground.
Nursing team on the 7th floor, very attentive: Fabiana, Valéria, Beatriz and Alex.
The room is very comfortable, with a sofa bed for accompaniment and the differential is a balcony with blinds that work by automation.
Still in the room, they have a digital safe, minibar (not stocked) and television with a network of paid channels such as HBO, Telecine, in addition to a board with all the information on the patient and the care team.
Bathroom equipped with safety bars and bath chair.
Super recommended.
Appropriate meals, according to the type of diet. I requested an extra meal during the night, as I had not had dinner after the procedure, and I was attended to, without any problems.
I came back to edit the review, because today, after 24 days after performing the surgical procedure, I received a billing email stating that I was overdue with payment. I found it strange, since I was hospitalized for coverage by my health plan, so it was not a private hospitalization.
At the admission reception, we are handed several papers for signature, including some pages of items that, according to the attendant, some plans do not cover. Values from absorbent to other items. Products with symbolic values from R$ 0.09 to much higher values.
Among all the papers, to finalize the entry into your hospitalization, you must sign all of them.
Behold, when I received the return of the e-mail from the billing area of the Hospital, which I questioned what it was about, I was informed only today, after questioning, that my plan did not offer coverage for leg R$ 674.72 + anti sock thrombus R$ 224.00 + blue magnetized box with needle counter R$ 0.01 (yes, charge of R$ 0.01 one cent of a real), totaling R$ 898.73.
At no time were we informed that my plan did not offer coverage for these items, much less did they go to the room to talk to my companion or much less at hospital discharge did the nurse or anyone else communicate with us about such charges.
Ok, the plan does not offer coverage for any item, but the Hospital has an obligation to inform the patient in advance of the billing.
The amounts they are charging me are relatively “low”, as they are just two items, but there could be a few more digits and there could be other items that the plan would not cover and would simply be taken by surprise with a charge for something that I was not informed.
I was disappointed with the communication from the hospital, which until then, I had found everything wonderful and had rated it as a 5, because of that, it dropped to a 3.

I have been here several times, but today seems to be the time that this hospital's ER is the least prepared. Having passed through covid season peak now the hospital seems not being able to cope with the current influenza surge. The expected waiting time for a clinic evaluation, not considering possible needed exams or medications is of 4 hours! Seems that there is no medical staff at all right now. However the nursing and administrative staff are whatever possible. Hope somehow they can cope better with this seasonal flu...

Like many reports here, there is no way to give this hospital any stars. My son was seen in the emergency room on April 4 with chest pains. He had blood tests, X-rays and later a CT scan because the cardiologist could not find where the information was. Medicated and hospitalized. The next day, the 5th, I went to the hospital to be with a companion, and during the time I was there there wasn't even a doctor to go see him, ask how he was feeling or inform
about your case.
I was outraged by the lack of information and neglect and I went to the medical center to ask if the doctor would pay him a visit and the nurse's answer was that the doctors came by in the morning and in the afternoon. Around 4 pm and after I complained to Dr. Thaísa went to the room and talked to him, but she couldn't say what was happening to him, only that they were "suspecting" myocarditis and she didn't say anything else. Around 5 pm we went to the medical center again to ask questions and Dr. Thaísa informed that they had not found anything in the tomography and that neither in the lungs (according to her, the lung), there was no alteration and that they would do an MRI. I was very irritated by having to charge the doctors for a position, since it is their obligation to inform a patient or family of their diagnosis and they were medicating without knowing for sure what the problem was.
The resonance was scheduled because I fought so much, one day for a blood test, X-ray, tomography and another day for another blood test and tomography. As I said to the doctor, this treatment is even acceptable in the SUS, but in a private hospital that carries a weighty name, it is unacceptable.
He spent another night in the hospital not knowing what he had. The next day, April 6th, I arrived at the hospital around 12:00 and all hell broke loose at the reception. I am disabled and I use a cane to get around and when I arrived the receptionist was looking for something in a notebook, I think the person forgot something in the room and went to look for it. The receptionist didn't even look at my face even though I told her good morning, I stayed up for 5 minutes until I asked her to release me to go up to the room because I had a cane and I had been standing for some time and then she would continue to look for it, the answer was for me to wait because she was helping the woman and then she would help me. There are no chairs at reception and I stood for another 5 minutes until she finished what she was doing and not happy she threw my document and badge on the counter.
I got to the room and my son was in the MRI. Soon after, Dr. Iven went to talk to us and said that he really had myocarditis but it wasn't serious and that one of his lungs was also inflamed, contrary to what Dr Thaísa said. 4 people passed by the bed next to my son and left quickly. The last patient in the next bed was a physiotherapist and the husband of a physiotherapist at the hospital who seemed to be dancing samba in a bar. If those who should set an example don't have the slightest composure, imagine the rest? The cleaning staff without the slightest ceremony, they speak loudly, talk on the cell phone, noise of messages like I don't care. In the end, the only things are the food and the nurses Amanda and Claudemir who had empathy with us. To be bad you still need to improve.

I arrived at 7:50 for my 8:15 appointment with the dermatologist. It was 9:00 and no one called me. When I asked why, it was because they had forgotten to let me know that I had arrived. The 9:15 customer was being served at 9:00 and I was still waiting. This happened on the 2nd floor with the receptionist Fernanda when I was going to visit the dermatologist. Total lack of respect for the patient, I was late at work for the appointment, I arrived half an hour before the scheduled time and was seen more than 1 hour late because they forgot about me. And if I hadn't gotten up to ask what time I would be attended to, I would simply have spent the day waiting without anyone saying anything. Willingness to come back here is zero!! It's not the first time I've been treated badly.

I arrived to be attended with a positive diagnosis for covid!
The hospital is cramming people with respiratory symptoms into a room (diagnosed or not) and leaving everyone waiting for more than 2 hours.
When we questioned it the receptionist says it's not her problem and she can't do anything.
People in urgency getting worse and nobody does anything! No wonder this hospital is rated SO BAD!
I'm low on urgency despite having significant symptoms, I understand. But, if I'm not sick enough to need hospital attention (even though I've been referred by the plan's medical team) I'd rather be sick at home where I don't contaminate anyone than being huddled in a hospital.
TOTAL DISRESPECT!

The truth is that there will be good experiences and others not so much, even because there are many boring people in the world too =p.
My experience was incredible! Unlike other people, we were sent (me and my accompanying brother) to a room until my surgery was released and I can report the excellent structure, I loved the balcony in my room

My sister-in-law has CELIAC DISEASE underwent a procedure with anesthesia and had to fast for 8 hours + 1 hour delay in the exam + 1 hour and 15 minutes of procedure + 2 hours of observation. Ie,
when she returned, she needed to eat to our surprise the Hospital HAD NOTHING TO OFFER GLUTEN-FREE FOR CELIACONS. They only gave her a hot apple maguary juice (awful) she made her sick from the procedure, it got worse. The nurses and staff did not even know about the disease and the food restriction related to Celiac Disease (which is not their fault) but the hospital did not train and guide the staff. Absurd!!!
They said that the restaurant was outsourced, that is, trying to pass the problem on.
The restaurant is INSIDE the hospital dependencies as the ONLY OPTION.
And there is also NOTHING WITHOUT GLUTEN FOR THOSE WHO HAVE CELIAC DISEASE.
Where the food has to be prepared in a place EXCLUSIVELY FOR CELIACS, or acquired by exclusive suppliers. As in Fleury, for example, to NOT HAVE CROSS CONTAMINATION with foods with gluten.
The contempt for the fact was when they came to tell me that the restaurant had scrambled eggs.
Eggs don't have GLUTEN, but the utensils and the kitchen HAVE A LOT. In other words, putting the health of the sister-in-law at risk within the hospital itself.
And again if the restaurant they allow within the hospital space does not have food suitable for Celiacs. The responsibility is in any case ENTIRELY WITH THE HOSPITAL.

It was a bad experience. They don't know how to place the bedpan basin for the patient to urinate, I got wet in bed several times. I paid for two surgeries and had one, I gave up on the day, asked for a refund and things changed. The friendliness, education and agility are over, I had to insist to receive my money, this is absurd, I do not recommend it. I had surgery with Rodrigo Wobeto, who was very attentive until I operated, then I didn't have time for the postoperative period, the moment I needed the most and I was even released home by a nursing technician who only saw me once afterward. When I complained I thought the treatment got much worse.

I had bariatric surgery in January at this hospital. And I want to thank the whole team, from the receptionists, attendants, nurses, nutritionist, physiotherapist, anesthesiologist, surgeon and all the team present in the surgical block. They are fantastic professionals. The hospital is wonderful, I felt like a guest in a hotel. My companion was also welcomed. With a great menu offered at meals. I stayed in a very cozy suite, with TV, Netflix, internet, Alexa, minibar, air conditioning, the automated bed, amazing. The entire staff was welcoming. Note 10, super recommend. I intend to go back to reconstructive surgeries in 1 year. Wait for me. 😘

Former IBCC
The guy at the counter Lucas was very attentive and friendly.
The doctor took a long time to perform the service (more than an hour), but he was very solicitous.
I hope they always serve the patients well and improve more and more.
Ahhh… a tip for the IBCC… patients who undergo blood tests and need fasting… please always leave tea or coffee with biscuits!!!
Downgraded one star...
I would like to report another experience I had in this same place, the attendant is solicitous but lacks “humanization”. Patients are already going through a difficult phase, so treat them with more care and attention.
A classic example, in the first consultation I went with the doctor and already on the same day I already scheduled the return.
However, this last time, they asked to call instead of booking directly at the venue, but it doesn't hurt to book directly… because I was already there.
Another problem I noticed was that in the first appointment when I went to book a return appointment... the doctor didn't have a schedule because he had a full schedule, but as he asked for a return visit in 2 months, the attendant then called directly to see how he should proceed, in the which the doctor ordered fitting.
This time, the attendant… did not insist on calling. He just asked me to go to the doctor to check.
Another IMPORTANT detail that I checked was when handling the vacuum blood collection adapter, I had the impression that the material was reused. I sincerely hope this does not happen, as we patients are at risk of contracting other diseases.
It takes a long time at the counter to schedule an appointment.

I was at this hospital during a pretty challenging time for some weeks, in the ICU.
I was treated “ like a princess” and got even some kilos because of the amount of food, juices, and ice cream I got from the kitchen.
The hospital food here is DELICIOUS!
Docs and nurses were so kind. The nurses even got my hair done - I always had nice hair during my “stay.” ❤️

In other words, the hospital would be the "Real Madrid club" of hospitals and the team would be the best players in the world. From the medical team, gastronomy, cleaning, etc... they all deserve a 10. São Luiz really managed to offer a Disney standard service to its patients. My wife underwent surgery, which I was waiting for her discharge, good service, qualified professionals, modern structure, has parking services, or nearby there are several parking lots, in the waiting hall there is a place to have a snack, or even a small meal.

I passed today 02/15/22 for endoscopy. I was so well attended by Sara (endoscopy reception, where I needed to sign the medical forms). Arriving on the sixth floor where the exam takes place, I was very well attended by Dr. Aureo (I believe that was the name of the doctor who performed the endoscopy), the anesthesiologist, I don't remember his name, was very sweet and took great care of me. Note ten for your service! He was very careful, my veins disappeared, the nurse punctured my arm 5 times in an attempt to find the vein, but it disappeared. He then left it to the anesthesiologist to perform the procedure, and as I had asked that it not be done on the hand, he tried it on the wrist area and it worked at first. I don't have any bruises on my body. In addition to waking up from sedation, very well, without any pain or discomfort!! I did not know the hospital, and it was a pleasant surprise when I was referred to it. Very nice, clean hospital. I just loved it. In the end, I got a voucher for a snack, I used it to visit the upper area on the Mezzanine, which by the way is a very beautiful area due to the lighting and the sun hitting it, very spacious and comfortable chairs. I had the coffee but because I had been fasting for many hours, I needed to eat something more and decided to have lunch downstairs at the cafeteria “Casa Bauduco”, because I was in the mood for a different coffee. It's that delicious coffee and croissant.

We arrived at Sabará and already at the entrance we were approached by the valets who were very polite, right at the reception we were extremely well received by Gabriel who helped to calm our son and also by the other very kind attendant. The security guard was very courteous and polite, not only opening the way, but also opening a smile, directing us with all calm and politeness to the place to make the form. We reached the second floor where we again asked for information and were promptly attended to. Then, when filling out the form before the exam, the two attendants were very friendly, including one of them preparing drawing kits and crayons bought by herself to give to the children and my son also won. We arrived at the exam room, where we were once again very well received, informed and calmed down, as they treated our son with love and dignity, calming down especially my wife who was anxiously accompanying him full time. The staff made my son feel at ease and the environment here was prepared and developed for children...where the room looks like a giant aquarium and the dreaded machine looks like a submarine...that is, everything is in sync. Everyone around here seems to know exactly what they came to do and they do it with love in their eyes. We are very grateful to God for blessing us with this extremely prepared place for this exam (MRI) and also grateful to the company where I work, for blessing us with such a good agreement. Congratulations to the management of the hospital and the entire team...from the valet who was very kind and polite to the team that performed the exam on our son.

I scheduled a cervical ultrasound for my daughter. The exam was performed at the scheduled time. Humanized service by the doctor who performed the exam. The entire team works with professionalism and respect for the patient and parents/guardian. Searching for the car is usually time consuming, as the parking lot is in another location, but this time, the car arrived very quickly.

I needed a gastro surgeon for my daughter, she was diagnosed with gallbladder stones and needed to be removed. It was then that I was referred to the Edmundo Vasconcelos hospital. I started the first service in the middle of Dec/22, there were three visits (always punctual) and on 01/23/23 my daughter was operated (through the health insurance). I have no words to thank for the care from the first day until her discharge. All professionals were super polite and treated us with great affection. Gratitude to the nurses who took care of her during the time she was there. The girls who brought the meals, always cheerful and affectionate, the cleaning ladies, always smiling and especially to Dr Paschoal Napolitano and the team who performed her surgery. He was one of the best doctors we've ever known and just gratitude for taking such good care of our most precious asset.
Obs.: The food served is great.
The only negative point is that parking at the hospital is very expensive.

I leave here my total indignation with the hospital care and Edmundo's afternoon/night shift on 10/06/2022. I arrived at 7pm. I went with my husband and it was a struggle from the beginning, to do a CT scan, the insurance company was denying the exam due to shortage and I who had to call the plan and make a bigger fight until they authorized it, the hospital didn't do the least of the work of try to resolve the situation with the health plan and request authorization, they didn't care about the patient in pain. Until then, okay. After a lot of fighting, he managed to do the CT scan and it was already 1 am. There had not been any MEDICATION for the pain.. the doctor indicated hospitalization because it was a cyst and needed a surgical procedure, then it was another fight, the insurance would not authorize it because it was in shortage, but in urgent and emergency cases the plan is required to authorize. I went and fought again with the health plan, the hospital did not want to try to resolve the situation. Finally, it was 4 am and we were already exhausted, hungry, sleepy, and nothing from the plan to authorize. We decided to leave, we asked for at least one pain medication, the nurses on duty, ALL of them, paid little attention, they just kept laughing and gossiping in the nursing area, as soon as they let me explain, they said they couldn't give medication, or prescription, or certificate. We didn't sign anything medical "discharge", we stayed from 19:00 to 04:00 in the morning without ANY pain medication if you want, without any goodwill from anyone in this hospital out of concern for the patient. When it was time to leave, the nurse simply gave me the ombudsman's phone number so I could complain. In other words, "I can't do anything" if they see. Then we went to another hospital, São Luiz, we told the situation and the hospital got the emergency authorization for the surgery and everything was resolved. Bad experience with the hospital and with the "professionals". I hope you never have to go through this. I will definitely file a complaint with the ombudsman and correct measures.

I was well taken care of every time I went. As for a possible delay in making a record for scheduled appointments, follow the guidelines at the time of scheduling and arrive a little before everything goes well. What delayed it well was for me to be called in the doctor's room. If you have time and are not going to do any procedure that makes you feel bad, taking the subway is a good idea, stay on the side. If you go by car, I recommend looking for other parking lots in the vicinity, the hospital parking prices are a little high if you have a procedure that takes time.
