Establishment of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University was an upgrade of the Institute of Postgraduate Medicine and Research (IPGMR). IPGMR was established in December 1965, as a Government-controlled postgraduate institute for medical research and studies. It was housed in the now defunct Hotel Shahbag, once the biggest hotel in Dhaka. The hotel got its name Shahbag from the name of the neighborhood. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University popularly known as PG Hospital, is the first medical university in Bangladesh. Although the MBBS course was introduced, the institution earlier offered only post-graduate education. The new university was named after Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. This university has a hospital which is equipped to provide quality treatment. The university has a total of five multi-storied buildings; Block A, B, C, D and Cabin Block. "Nasty" hospital is what my experience says about this hell in our city. It's a nightmare filled with unpleasant and aggressive behaviour with both patients as well as their family members. The staff has no sense of politeness or social well being and unfortunately they shouldn't have been in this field of serving people. They charge more and care less. If you don't believe my words then please go pay a visit and you'll understand what I'm trying to say.

My father was a patient of Dr Santosh Kumar, who has gone through double knee replacement operation under him. Please note that he personally does not do any operation, does not come to floor or talk to patient. He is just there to recommend patients for knee surgery and then his team does all of the activities on behalf of him. We did not see him or talked to him during the whole admission time. He does not come to floor even. His team was only did the OT. After OT, only the sisters informed us that OT is done and handed over the empty packets of knee transplants.(no interaction with doctor). Even during surgery follow ups, only his junoir doctor saw him. The hospital itself could have been organized in better way. The beds are used are of old days, same lifts are used for patients and visitors which make you wait for long even if you want to go just 1 floor (no stairs). And remember only veg food is provided to the patients. But the staffs and sisters watching over my father were helpful and never showed any attitude. Wish it is same with all the members of the hospital.

It supposed to be the best Hospital in the Sultanate. Despite all the expertise and the best facilities as well as state of the art equipments. Still the outcome is not as good as it supposed to be. In order to ensure that the best services are provided the management should spend more time in the field rather than sitting in the offices.

We booked a private room for 20 rial a day and 100 rial deposit. The room is around 18m2 (6*3). Contains a bathroom a fridge and a small extra bed. Its located just beside the normal admission beds. The price is a bit high for the room but there was no other options.

A really big THANK YOU to Dr Bernard for his remarkable and exceptional skill in saving my limp. Been in road accident twice, yet I'm lucky enough to met with Dr Bernard. A very well experienced, talented and down to earth Orthopaedic doctor that put his life long skill into saving my limp. Not only he is being helpful to my needs during my recent admission, he also explained in details about my surgery and conditions. Yet after the surgery, I do not suffer any severe pain and I recover well.

It’s been around 3 months since my second cataract operation and I’m still marvelling at going around without glasses, for the first time in almost 60 years! Summer’s coming and I can wear RayBans without contact lenses, thanks to Doctor Howard and his team. Good place and friendly staff here. From security guard, front desk, customer service staff, nurse and even the doctors here are very helpful, caring and friendly. Super thanks to Dr. Ng C.K who help deliver my baby. My wife have a pleasant delivery experience for our first born baby. And also thanks to Dr. Alex who really care with babies. Thank you for the follow up too. The midwife here are very friendly and willing to teach you how to feed baby if you are first time daddy/mummy. Especially the gentle Indian midwife lady, very knowledgeable on how to take care babies and teach my wife on latching the baby. Best things is the car park area are free. Although space is limited, but security guard able to guide you to park and they allow you to double park by providing phone number. So if someone getting their car, they able to call you. Such a lovely and super friendly specialist hospital. Just like their name “博爱医院”. A hospital that filled with love and care.

Shame and shame on this place, where you are greeted by disgruntled receptionists who probably didn't understand what it means to be helpful and nice when you greet patients and their attendants who come to undergo one or another medical procedure, simple or complex, it doesn't matter - you can't contact or talk to them, make eye contact , and even when you turn and ask, God forbid, more than one question, you are met with disdain, lack of interest, eye rolls, and today, from my experience, it came to her raising her voice, of course. Those who can avoid or ask for another private hospital are welcome. Not getting there, a terrible experience that left me traumatized. It will not pass in silence or on the agenda, I will reach those who need to reach.

Great experience

Amazing medical center! I had an operation there and was hospitalized for 24 hours after the operation. During my hospitalization I received treatment, information, personal treatment at the highest level! Good food, television, toilets and super comfortable beds in every room! The lobby is designed and pleasant to be there, art depends on the editor of all the rooms and the common area. There is a cafe at the entrance. What's more, they don't have parking. With me I will definitely come back here!

I was referred by a friend to see one of your specialists, but I'm experiencing difficulties with the booking system. The staff handling the process lacks in customer service and marketing skills. Instead of retaining customers, they seem to be pushing them away. I suggest implementing more engaging scheduling options to keep patients interested.

They just prescribed medicines and I couldn’t control my sugar level at all. I wanted to give a try at the Canadian Hospital and I went there in August. When I visited Dr Sarah Alam Endocrinologist my Hba1c level was at 9.9 and yesterday after the test it was down at 6. Such a vast improvement. Dr Sarah’s aim was to control my sugar level. Waiting time for the insurance is very long, response from doctor to insurance is too slow, very poor management, you have to wait very long time to get response from the team, I experienced this at Diabetic centre. Similarly experience I faced in the past while my daughter was admitted in August as she is type 1 diabetic, hospital Insurance team is not responsive, they need to update their system fast, as I my insurance send me screen shot on approvals time, still nurses make us wait as they are waiting for response from in-house insurance team. I would like to address CEO of the Hospital, please do something to bring the same quality as it was before as this was one of the best hospital & now in my eyes it is worst with poor service, poor management

I recently delivered my baby boy at Kings College Dubai Hills. I had a memorable and an amazing experience and felt so at home. My husband and I were so humbled and couldn’t have asked for more private care. All the staff and nurses were excellent and I was in good hands. However, Leanne my midwife was exceptionally helpful and was like a second Mum to me. She went above and beyond all the time to make sure I was ok. She assisted me with everything I had to learn and know as a new Mum and always made me feel at ease. She is always so hardworking, professional and passionate about what she does. I’ve never met someone who loves what they do so much! Leanne has provided so much care post my delivery as well and she has become a very close friend of mine. I can confidently recommend Leanne as she deserves it. I am convinced that having her as a member of staff will be a valuable asset.

I delivered my baby with King's in July 2022. I highly recommend the hospital and stuff working there, everyone was very supportive and kind. I am sincerely grateful to Dr. Esra for my delivery. On a separate note, I sincerely want to thank Mary Grace for her kind support. As a first time mother, even whilst I was attending Antenatal classes, I lacked practical experience of how to take care of baby. Mary Grace was very attentive and showed us how to bath and change the baby, explaining many interesting life hacks. Her support and explanation how to breastfeed the baby was indispensable, without her I would not be that lucky to establish breastfeeding which I continue to date.

Dr. May Ali has been an incredible support throughout my twin pregnancy journey. Her professionalism and unwavering support guided me every step of the way. Her expertise and care during the C-section brought my beautiful baby girls into the world safely. I'm immensely grateful for her dedication and expertise. Ward 2B All the nurse in 2B like everyone own them billion dollar, they are not come to help their patient nor patient family members. All your nurse will only know how to restrict you to do anythings.. without suggest alternative solution. Hey... Patient and the patient family members paid money for treatment...not paid money come here and let you order or instruct them with nonsen reason of yours.. but when the family members ask your nurse to do things, they will just know how to say " I not sure", " You just wait Doctor", " You wait 1st I come later" " You need to wait" Eventually nothings your nurse manage to help nor they really successfully help.. Cause after 1000 years also they didn't come to help the family members. .... Such lousy service in nowdays, you think how long your hospital can sustain..

I am very grateful to Dr Mogan for he has done a great job in getting right in the whole diagnostic process. He is very detail, sincere and capable in addressing the rootcause of my illness with proper proposal to me. I am a difficult to treat patient with precondition of 3 years serious iron deficiency anemia due to heavy menstrual disorder. Last month on 17/6, I was admitted to Hospital Fatimah into emergency ward due to intestinal problems gets me into pain for a day. The request is from me to the one of hospital in Ipoh due to family also at home. The surgery has happened on 18/6, and it is OK but I’m not get used to this due to after abdominal surgery, so I was able to get help from the nurse in charge on day and night. The doctors in charge are helpful for the first time into surgery process and it’s been over 3 weeks, I’m moving on for abdominal recovery. But one thing it is discomfort is, the private hospital is becoming other’s patients private hotel. Usually there will be less noise but the patients nearby are quite noisy. But whatever, I hope that I am on smooth and get well soon.

The worst hospital ever. Staff is great but the organization is all about profit. We could’ve been discharged by 11AM. We followed up multiple times. We had to wait til 5PM for someone to show up and check on the patient. Billing said we had to wait til 7PM to pay so they can account for the “necessary” charges. They want to keep you here, I’m telling you. Obviously, the longer you stay, the more you need to pay.

Very good experience with AHMC. Doctors were great and knowledgeable. Nurses are approachable and patient. Their room rates are also worth it.

I had a positive experience at this hospital. The guards, nurses, and staff were all very accommodating, and I felt well taken care of. The ER Doctor was particularly impressive, as they took the time to explain everything in detail. However, there were some drawbacks. The ER bed areas were a bit small, with only one chair, no table, and limited space to walk around. This made the waiting area less comfortable than I would have liked. Nevertheless, it was still a good experience.

Its like a 5 star hotel but Unfortunately, especially pediatric department pediatricians and nurses require further training to comprehend patient psychology. After all, patients pay significant amounts of money for their services.

If you are from anather country than you pay the triple. This is rasict hospital. I don’t advice for the people to come to this hospital. Horrible service. The nurses don’t have experience or understand patients need. The doctor doesn’t have bedside manner. Please be aware if you want to get in touch with doctors when she/he is not on duty. They will not response to you at all. No on call doctors. The worst private hospital in Thailand.

The only day I visited Bangkok, I decided to go see a doctor incase of an infection. The nurses were very professional and kind. But the doctor I consulted was extremely rude, took a picture of my wound and explain his doctor's lectures. He didn't even offer to clean my wound. Didn't even let me explain what caused it. Prescribed antibiotics which was 1900 baht, back in the country where I live, augmentin is half the price cheaper than this. I like the hospital. My family's been going here alot. But this particular doctor threw me off with big disappointment and experience.

the inpatient experience was wonderful, the doctor is very professional, and nice to us, the service was great, the food was amazing, and we feel that everyone took good care of us. we had such a experience in this Foshan hospital, and highly recommend it.

A true nightmare. We almost lost our daughter because of this place, which resulted in a few months NICU in a different hospital.

The canteen closed to soon, we were so thirsty and we wanted to buy drinks buy the staff didnt want to sell us any drinks since she just closed at 16:30 pm.. why are u so lazy?

The outdoor COVID 19 testing facility is fantastic. Pre-register and pay in advance, and you can walk up, check-in and proceed directly to testing with a QR code. The testing is super fast with efficient, merciless nasal swabbers. The easy to access results/reports are generated within a few hours and retrievable via the hospital's app. There is usually at least one staff member outside ensuring everyone in line is (i) observing social distancing, and (ii) properly scheduled and checked in with a QR code ready before getting to the testing window.

High professional and very careful stuff. We were for gastroenterology surgery which was very successful. And what a surprise when you can enjoy classic music on piano at level B1. Great location and very important thing that they are assisting you to get gorgeous rooms right other side of road in 4* hotel. Highly recommended for treatment, surgery and diagnosis.

Traveling from the US had to go to the ER for a severe ear infection. We were in and out in less than an hour. Super organized, clean, friendly staff (most spoke English or had a translator for us) and handled the issue. Pharmacy was at facility too. They even scheduled a follow up appointment in a few days. Completely satisfied and thankful that this was a stress free visit.

Don't get rehabilitation medicine here. The local general hospital is better. They see patients as money pots.

Some doctor professors are unkind I don't know how someone with that kind of personality became a doctor. Especially orthopedic professors are not at the level of doctors.

If possible, it is better to go to a university hospital in the metropolitan area. In the medical field, fat is less competitive. Even if I press the bell of the hospitalization room, they say no, but when I ask people in the metropolitan area, they say it's strange. If you ask a question from a hospital in the metropolitan area or a doctor or nurse, the answer will come.

While scheduling, I confirmed multiple times with the person handling appointments that the doctor would be available on time, ensuring there wouldn’t be any last-minute issues since I’m traveling from Bahrain. She advised me to arrive 10 minutes earlier. However, upon my arrival at the hospital 20 minutes early, I discovered that the doctor had already left, demonstrating a lack of punctuality and leaving before his scheduled hours. The customer staff was very rude and unhelpful. When I questioned them about the doctor leaving before my appointment, they claimed ignorance and mentioned that his duties were finished. Despite having my appointment time visible in the system, they couldn’t assist me and attributed the mistake to the call center staff. Frustratingly, they refused to call the doctor or take any action to rectify the situation. Their unprofessionalism extended from the doctor to the call center and customer service staff. I strongly advise against visiting Dosary Hospital or consulting Dr. Mohammad Badr, as my experience was highly unsatisfactory.

Need to express my concerns about the lengthy and frustrating insurance approval process we encountered at Dossary Hospital. We only visited due to Dr Javed because the doctor is good. We observed that only one staff member is available at the tiny insurance counter, with the main counter closed. This lone staff member is handling a long queue in the middle of the walkway, contributing to the overall inconvenience and adding to the challenges faced during the insurance approval process. Unlike our experiences in other hospitals, the insurance approval process at Dossary Hospital has been exceedingly time-consuming. The rejections, coupled with the necessity to repeatedly seek additional information from the doctor and endure prolonged waiting times, have been incredibly inconvenient. This repetitive cycle occurred three times, leading us to the decision to pay cash for the test, which was priced at a reasonable 230 riyals. It is disheartening to note that our Class A insurance, which is promptly approved at other medical facilities, consistently faces challenges at Dossary Hospital. Despite our attempts to address these issues with the hospital staff, we feel our concerns have not been adequately addressed. The constant blame on our insurance company and the lack of resolution only added to the distress of navigating this process as sick patients. As patients, we find it unacceptable to endure such a cumbersome and disorganized procedure, having to navigate multiple floors to resolve the matter. We urge you to review and improve your insurance approval process to ensure a smoother experience for patients who rely on your services. We DO NOT RECOMMEND DOSSARY ANYMORE.

The facility is good. But, a lot to be improved. Very slow process starting from reception, insurance approval to pharmacy. Don't go if you are for a quick checkup for your kids.
