They should say it's closed on sundays, I walked around all the hospital surroundings trying to find an entrance over 40 minutes walking and nothing, every single gate was closed had a medical emergency.....

It's a massive/impersonal hospital so I shouldn't have expected much. My first interaction was booking the appointment (waited over 2 hours to do so), upon which I approached the sportello and the woman just stared at me - literally no words. As I asked for the appointment to be booked, she took my paperwork without saying anything, printed out the confirmation and still said nothing - not even an explanation of when, where the appointment was, etc. I have never had such an intensely impersonal and rude interaction (or lack thereof lol) for something so nervewracking. Really not looking forward to the actual appointment with the doctor if this is what the staff is like. Awful. You'd think someone working in a hospital would even *attempt* to have an ounce of empathy, but no not here.

I'm sure the doctors are good, but reception is slow inefficient most of the windows are closed and the few people there are are gossiping with each other instead of accepting patients. I went 3hours early to be sure to have my prebooked Cardiology appointment and arrived at the nurses desk at cardiology an hour before as I needed an ECG. The rude nurse laughed at my booking and asked me if I booked it myself. Yes I answered but I need the booked ECG as that's what is writen on the doctors door. She threw my sheet to one side and said we will call you 45minutes later noone called I went to ask her again. She told me to sit down. They the 4nurses were all chatting together and doing nothing. Super fast, got in with my 1y 7mo daughter who swallowed a plant (brome) that got stuck in her tonsil, went to triage who registered her and 5min later got called in. They checked her lungs and ears properly, then her throat, some other doctor colleagues got called in to help hold the baby, they removed it in 2 minutes, they finished writing up her file and we left. Overall it took 20-25min from when we got in to when we got out. Thank you so much!

As a tourist with a sick child, I'm blessed to be directed by the taxi driver to this hospital. We received great care from Dr. Ferro Valencia, and the staff and fellow patients have been super nice too. Some tips for parents like me who don't understand any Italian: 1. Proceed to the emergency department with a red label, there an English speaking staff will be able to direct you to the right department. For us, we were directed to take COVID test first. 2. At the COVID test location, they actually take notes of your symptoms too, and give you a number. Your remaining visits to different departments will all have this number be called upon. 3. The hospital consists of several buildings with different colored labels. Only the emergency department is labeled red, and also functions as triage. When your number is called again, it is usually the case that you will be directed to a numbered room inside the emergency department. From there if you need to go to another building, they'll tell you the color or have a staff guide you. Not many nurses/staff understand English, but they've all been very nice and helpful. Within each department among 5-6 people, usually at least one person speaks good English. It's a really busy hospital, so the staff/doctors might not be so attentive, but if you reach out, they'll be so helpful.

I have to thank to doctors and nurses for saving my fiancé’s life when having acute pancreatitis. Everyone was very nice and kind, there was no problem talking in English, doctor and nurses were all very emphaticand kind. The emergency came in 30 minutes, after arriving to hospital my fiancée got help immediately. Thank you for doing your job on 100%!

One the best hospitals in Tuscany. Particularly, I’ve found the staff incredibly helpful and emphatic. Differently from other places in Italy where foreigners are often looked down and staff doesn’t even try to speak English or give simple directions, I’ve personally witnessed nurses trying their best to give clear concise communication in English to help out foreigners looking for a specific exam.

EXCELLENT CARDIOLOGY CENTER DOCTOR. EFFICIENT BUT THE DEPARTMENT STAFF SERVANTS TO BE KICKED OUT X RUDE AND RUDE AN INDECENT THING THE ELDERLY ESPECIALLY TREATED BADLY. BUT NOBODY WHO CHECKS THE EQUALITY OF THE DISGUSTING SERVANTS. TAKE MEASURES FOR THOSE WHO CAN GO HOME UNWILLED.

They don't respect visiting hours. One piled on top of the other. First and last time I set foot in this kind of structure

Arrival at the emergency room with heart disease, pacemaker and thrombosis in progress, GREEN triage assignment and discharge (but return the following day for a vascular visit, the patient thrown here and there without hospitalization because "there are no beds"). The surgeon undertakes to anticipate access to the TAO, to date he has never responded (not even out of politeness). Hippocrates now seems like a distant memory of school studies......... It would be a pleasure to review this review in case something changes, but - given the trend - I doubt it.. Too bad!

A beautiful hospital in a beautiful city Padova

I was in Italy for vacation and had an accident which was not dangerous but would have ruined my holiday. The emergency room at Padua university hospital treated me anyways and the waiting period was absolutely okay. Thanks!
