My sister had procedure done their and I had to pick her up, the doctor called and said be their in two hours after battling the boston traffic i arrived 15 minutes early and was told to wait at the entrance for 30 minutes and they will call me to come up but after a hour i had the front desk call upstairs and they told her it would be another hour. So i decide to go to the calf for something to eat and waited in line to watch if your a employee of mass general you get to skip the line and order and talk to the people working there so i just said they aren't going to get my money and left bad enough i have to pay more and more for parking.

I worked here for about five years and my experience here shaped the rest of my life. I worked primarily in the emergency department and it was the nurses I worked with who inspired me to continue my education. After graduating nursing school I accepted a position closer to home though maybe one day I will find my way back here. Until then, I can assure you will be in great hands.

I believe this probably was once an amazing hospital. However, when I went for treatment of a chronic condition it was borderline negligent. Previously I was followed at Children’s Hospital and Boston and it was amazing I had exceptional care. At Mass General I waited in a chair in a hallway for 8 hours for treatment of a GI bleed. I was not allowed water yet did not have IV fluids during those entire 8 hours. Then I finally got an ER room. The GI doctors told me I would have a procedure to stop the bleeding first thing in the morning. It is now 12:00 and apparently I am not even scheduled for anything. Oh and my “room” is the waiting room. I feel worse then when I entered the hospital. If possible please please go elsewhere. It is a nightmare here.

Absolutely fabulous. I am impressed with all staff. Dr Drew took the time to answer all my questions. I felt he truly wants to help and cares for his patients.
It was worth the wait for an appointment

My wife just had an emergency appendectomy this week, and the staff did an outstanding job. From the staff in the ER (Samantha was the best!), to the anesthesiology department and the OR team, everyone was so kind and very professional and explained everything so well to us. Not that anyone ever wants to end up in the hospital, but if needed to, you can definitely trust and feel comfortable at Beth Israel

Had to live here for a month due to my high risk pregnancy. The majority of the nurses were terrible not welcoming or caring at all. The flod service was always missing something from my tray. The house keeping was garbage never changed the bed sheets, never cleaned the floor or surfaces only restocked paper towels and toilet paper and they only seemed to show up when I was talking with my dr. That's HIPPA they should not be coming in the room when dr. Or nurses are with you. And the nuses assistants changed my bedsheets but they always smelled like wet dog. It was so nasty. My birth experience was great though. My surgeon was phenominal but I only saw her as they were prepping me for surgery, during surgery, and after surgery once within 24 hours. After that never saw her again. Was there for 3 days after c section. Baby was in NICU for a few weeks the NICU staff was also bad always shifting nurses knowone knows what is going on....they have rotating dr.s since it's a teaching school you never have the same dr. For more then a week and it's hard to connect with a new dr each week.
Other problems
Like I said house keeping never actually cleaned that also includes the bathroom bring flip flops and your own lysol wipes in a bag like I did since staph infection is very common.
There fold trays weigh like 10 pounds and after surgery I was not suppose to lift heavy objects.
There shower towels are so small they barely cover your head bring a full size towel but dont leave it in the bathroom house keeping will take it.
Bring your own bathroom stuff there stuff barely cleans you.
It takes hours to get any tests done like blood work,x rays, ultra sounds.but they rush you when its needed.
Bring a fan the rooms get so hot and stuffy the noises will drive you insane beeping from machines.
The nurses were so negligent I told them I was in serious pain after surgery not near my incision and they insisted I take oxy. Well I didnt and I'm glad I didnt because I had a serious infection they brushed off and it was there fault from the wet dog bed sheets.
Good luck.

I went into the BWH spine center around a year ago concerned that something might be wrong with my neck. I was assigned a PA who was in their first year. They apparently didn't know what they were doing because ever since that day I have experienced significantly more pain and discomfort. Before that day, the pain levels were tolerable without any drugs or injections or whatever. Now I rarely get a normal nights sleep and many days are near unbearable.
I tried using the BWH patient complaint system to voice my concerns about my situation but they never got back to me even after I tried calling twice. I've had doctor visits before where they don't really offer help and that is often understandable. I've never before had a visit make my situation worse and then be ghosted when I complain. I wish I had never gone in for that appointment that day.

Today my father had a gastric tube replacement procedure and we ran into several unexpected obstacles. Dr. Geoffrey Anderson and Physician's Assistant Gabrielle Guetta we're phenomenal! They were both highly competent and compassionate, not to mention patient and delivered the highest quality of care to my father. It was quite a traumatic ordeal, so we are extremely pleased with the both of them and the level of care they deliver. We highly recommend this hospital to all

This hospital has gone from a 5 to a zero in my book. I went to pick up my niece and her new bundle of joy. They told her to be ready she’ll leaving by noon, as I’m typing still, Waiting for them to come out . 2hrs later is absurd. And still waiting . This hospital has went to dirt. Don’t have your baby here. lazy all about the $.. Do Better.

My husband came to PAM 3 weeks ago after multiple recommendations by people within the hospital industry. We are leaving soon, and wanted to leave a review of all the wonderful staff at the facility.
The therapy teams have been an absolute dream! John with physical therapy is patient, kind and funny. He pushes us to constantly strive for better, and is a huge asset to PAM. Kristen with occupational therapy is also the sweetest woman I've ever met. She is helpful, encouraging and a great listener. Irene with Speech therapy is so incredibly kind and also brilliant. She describes every step of the therapy and why it benefits you. It made us feel so much more at ease in an area of medical care that we had not ever participated in. Kelsey, Noe, Travis and Anika with Respiratory Therapy were wonderful to work with. They moved my husband quickly through all the stages of respiratory therapy, while making sure he was safe, but also pushing him to the next step.
The nursing staff was exceptional during the day, we adored Bonnie, Jordan, Lydia and Matt, and Monica and Natalie were great night nurses. As far as CNA's, Madison, Abby and David were all fantastic! These staff treated us like family, loved on my husband, and gave exceptional service. They constantly asked if we needed anything, were thoughtful with the meds being given, and carefully curated his healthcare to fit the need at the moment. We could not have asked for a better experience!
The administration dealt with any issues that arose quickly and efficiently. We did struggle slightly with some night staff that struggled to find the patience to understand his communication methods, but we brought this to the attention of administration, and they dealt with it immediately. He was given control of his healthcare, and this eased anxiety in so many ways. We are so incredibly blessed that we came to PAM and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an LTAC in the future.

My husbands best friend has been in the Pam Unit for 2 months. Not once was the room cleaned. Floors were so dirty. They would leave their trash laying in the room and on his bed. There was one RN nurse who was meanest uncaring person I have ever seen! They have now moved him to a nursing facility over 4 1/2 hours away that has awful reviews. It is so sad how people treat sick patients 👎🏻 they don’t even deserve a 1 star

This place is a complete joke. I should of knew the first 10 minutes we were there that it was going to be a nightmare. We got my dad there at 10 pm and when we got to the room it didn’t even have a bed in it. The speech therapy/nutrition employees were one of the rudest people ever. They are unprofessional and not very caring. One day one speech therapist said he could use a straw and have ice and water and the next day another person said he couldn't. The lack of care and compassion by most of the staff is unacceptable and unnecessary. Dr. Motaz B Hossein is very unprofessional and not friendly at all. He is not very compassionate. He doesn’t listen to the patient or the family. He is very stuck up. I hope that Kettering network never recommends this place to anyone in the future. I was actually worried for my father’s well being. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Everyone from the time my father in law was admittedly until he was discharged were exceptional. I was able to speak, at any time, with the doctor and nurses as needed. They were so helpful and caring at all times to dad. I knew at all times, if we weren’t able to be there, he was well taken care of and our community is very fortunate to have a facility of this kind to help dad recover until he was able to get to the next rehabilitation center. I can’t say enough how understanding and helpful the nursing staff are with the patient as well as the family. Thank you for taking care of dad and being so sweet and kind.

I cannot express how pleased my family and father is with our experience at Pam Specialty Hospital! All the staff caring for my father has been exceptional! Without their care, my father would not have made great strides in his recovery to live a better life. The staff has become our family. This hospital, with their phenomenal team, will hold a special place in my family and father’s heart forever.

I would like to say that Pam hospital did a wonderful job taking care of my sister when she was there. The staff was so nice and friendly and the hospital was so nice, clean and good environment. Some the staff even reached out after my sister left the hospital just to check up on her and see how she was doing. Amazing place and they do an amazing job!!!!

My father was recently discharged from about 3 weeks at PAM. I am so happy he was in their care. Very clean facility and easy visitation process.
I spoke directly with members from every team while he was in their care. They took the time to explain everything to me whenever I asked. The have the professionalism and patience I wish other facilities did.
A shout out to the entire staff. I know I'm getting some of these names wrong. Andy, Nurse Jaime, Yen, Dr. Sprague, Dr. O, Mike and Jackie from therapy and my little Cuban nurse friend (Mey-Lynne?) who put up with dad when he was a challenge and tolerated my Spanish. Front desk lady was always so welcoming. Sorry dear, I never got your name. Case workers Kris and Laura were awesome. I was freaking out a little when my dad was not doing well and Laura talked me down. I still owe you one for that... The whole staff went above and beyond even my highest expectations.
You guys are doing god's work and I very much appreciate all you do everyday for everybody in your care.

Stayed here from late January 2023 until March. What miserable experience. I had an occupational therapist scream and yell at me. I had a doctor yell at me. Both were very unprofessional. I waited for 2 hours for the staff to answer my call light and to distribute necessary pain pills. I left the place with a newly acquired bed sore. I received infrequent therapy. I only got out of bed 5 times in my entire time there. Need III go on? What a terrible in place!

This place is awful understaffed and most of of staff are under qualified they were a few good ones my husband was in diapers and I could not get him changed he got blisters on his lower half I started trying to get him changed at 6:15 went to the nurses station at 7:00 after call 4 times and finally at 7:45 they came to change him and treat his blisters which made me decide to post. I was taking him outside at the hospital which help his mind after a liver transplant and I could not get anyone to help me get him in a wheelchair here. I would not leave my dog here

This is the second major hospital stay for my mother in the last 3 years and when needing extra care and time to heal with her serious life threatening medical concerns we were given choices and decided to come back to PAM for her Acute medical care. I’m so glad we came here, she’s improving daily with her Dr, Nurses, therapists and aides here at PAM. Thank you so much.
