It is a place where I have had several experiences. More good than bad. It has good transportation, access roads. Good facilities with the different equipment and logistics that a medical center must have and qualified personnel to care for the different patients who are referred there. Hopefully more will be invested in the sector to improve the quality of life of patients.

What a disgusting clinic, terrible, how sad, I entered the page to request an appointment with a cardiologist, he never entered, I went there to request the appointment, I missed the trip, I put a PQR, they gave me the appointment after three months, I went to the appointment and 40 minutes queuing to make the payment, I went up to wait for them to call me and it took another hour to attend me. It is a terrible service from the Vigilante, who brought two dogs to the Hospital (what a hygiene thing) they serve you in waiting chairs where they give you medicine and they are not waiting to remove it when they are finished, even where they place the serum there were more medicines other patients who were no longer in the Hospital and do not pick them up to leave them in the trash. I was treated by Doctor Walter Antonio Lopes Torres who diagnosed me with a kidney infection and pneumonia (with pneumonia but he sent me home) despite continuing my bad condition, I came to Barranquilla of my own free will, feeling very little improvement after the medications where, surprise, I have dengue. The facilities are spacious, illuminated, with air conditioning and with staff always ready to help. The parking lot is large and free.

Terrible service as health officials from the doorman to the nurses, most lacking in humanity. Do not bring your families here because the sick must have a complementary plan or be prepared to be cared for on their own because one pays to be cared for like others because there must be discrimination, they need a lot of humility and empathy so that it is not noticeable that They work only for the salary. Foreign and locals please abstain from attending these very old and outdated hospital facilities. I've been a patient in the US, Spain, Germany and Colombia. This is by far one of the most frightening hospitals sub standard even for a tiny 3rd world town. Readers beware. Avoid at all cost, unless of course you happen to be a malpractice attorney. 1. Patient surgery intake. Expect a minimum of 2 hours 2. Nursing and Patient Information Systems. Pre and post surgical nursing staff use notebooks and handwritten notes as a the regular protocol for patient care. Despite revealing allergies with 5 different people and 5 different notebooks, the staff failed to write patient allergies in the surgical board and also failed to place the standard red bracelet. It had to be bluntly requested by the patient in the OR. The nursing staff laughed it off as normal noting it was goog "they" caught it on time. OMG. The nerve. 3. Institutional tardiness. Expect 3-4hour delay past scheduled surgical start time. Do not expect an apology nor a justification for tardiness. 4. During surgery expect nurses to answer questions to family at 8am, 11am 3pm. Should your family happen to run into a nurse and ask a question expect nurses to raise their voice rudely, only to be reminded to wait until the scheduled time. If your family receives a call from the OR team with a request (for information or supplies) and wish for you to ring the door, expect no responses to either of the two doors and one window. A family member witnessed a lady who could not find her father for 2 hours. Whiled the nursing staff dissed her, she had to appeal to a surgeon that was leaving the area. The information systems could not locate the patient. Frightening. Very Frightening. 5. After surgery expect 2 nurses to handle patient care for all 16 ORs. OMG. Frightening very frightening. Little help, fend for yourself. 6. Patient out-take. Expect the process to last a few minutes. But by all means do not expect it dignified changing room and or patient lockers. It's pretty gross 6. One week surgery follow up. Expect two hours wait on the 3rd floor of a brand new building just for check-in. Expect rude and insufficient check-in staff. Then expect another hour for the doctor to see you. I hope my comments help you make an informed decision. I hope my comments save lives and hardship. Steer clear if you can. Colombia has great hospitals. This is by fas substandard even for small towns in a 3rd world country.

It happened to us that together we sent someone else to make the copies and we kept him in place and when the time came for the turn to be handed over, the guard refused to wait and without order there was no take a turn! Another thing is that you have to line up for everything for the laboratory, for MRIs or diagnostic images, to make appointments with specialists for everything! Before standing in such long lines, ask carefully where it is your turn, many arrive and lose their turn for being where they should not be, where the photo public is where you have to line up for the laboratory, x-ray and in front is for appointments with specialists.

This hospital has modern facilities and good qualified and humane staff who provide good care to their patients.

I arrived at 10 when they say they open, no one. A girl arrived at 10:10 and they couldn't open the door for 10 minutes. We went in and another 10 minutes waiting to be attended to. Terrible service in the laboratory area…. Too long waiting time for fasting patients, which makes the results of some exams very unreliable. Two hours to care for only 25 patients. Just was released yesterday after being admitted last Thursday in need of a pacemaker. My husband and I were so pleased with our experience. Dr Marlon and Dr Francisco from the cardiology department were amazing. I was treated very well. I will be forever grateful.

Terrible (i.e. no) pain management after severe accident. Got also pain chock due to rush in changing linnen. As I chose to be operated at my home hospital (one of the top three hospital in pelvis operations in the whole World) they got upset and delayed my ambulance flight with a day (by not filling in papers on time). You can imagine the cost of having an ambulance flight waiting for you one extra day..

The emergencies of this hospital are chaos! Rude guards that don't know medical status but won't allow access or questions to medical personnel. This goes for guards outside and inside. Doctors do not provide status to patients and send students to relay status. Students can't answer questions. Poor communication and follow up by all personnel which have led to 3 wrong diagnosis by doctors. Once realized we asked and the staff blamed the family members of making up stories and medical visit history missing information. This review is based on the past year with various family members appointments and emergencies I am basing my rating. This rating applies to various areas: emergency room, intensive care, critical area, and maternity ward.

Many people. The attention is not friendly upon admission, however in external insult it improves a little and in hospitalization it improves considerably more. The medical equipment and technology are good.

After entering the emergency room, they delay people up to 3 hours for a simple injection. The staff meets in the offices to talk on the cell phone and chat; Very few give priority to what is really an EMERGENCY service.

Terrible human attention, lack of humility on the part of doctors in the intensive care unit 2 floor beds from 1 to 25, especially women, my mother as a family member went to ask something, and addressed the first uniformed person calling her "woman "Do me a favor" and the lady responds, "I'm not a woman, I'm a doctor" and she leaves without saying another word. My brother, as a patient, takes too long to perform assisted position changes and personal hygiene. It lasted more than 1 hour being with him. the dirty diaper, but they do see a cell phone in the family member's hands and they run to tell them to put it away, and they use it as if nothing had happened, what a lack of respect.

For 5 consecutive days they make me fast all day waiting for a surgery around 5 pm in a rude way and without any tact that they will not operate on me, if I approach them respectfully they get indignant and respond horribly, I feel imprisoned I have been hospitalized for 12 days for some calculations .

Without a doubt it is an incredibly efficient hospital with great human warmth. The guardian service is one of the best I have known in public institutions. I hope they continue like this, the demands of their doctors and area heads make it one of the best hospitals in the country, if not THE BEST

The experience I have is sitting outside on the sidewalk, my wife arrived an hour before me for emergency treatment and entered without problems, since I did not enter with her I have to wait outside, the doctor tells her that only the guard can decide if I go in or not and he tells me that only the doctor... well, there is my wife feeling very bad and unable to accompany her. I thought patients had the right to a companion... terrible!

In Sept 2023 in Cuenca, my upper arm was broken in 4 places and I needed surgery to repair the bones (titanium screws, metal plate,). I was hospitalized at Mt Sinai for two days, required a month of 6 hr/day in-home care by rotating team of Mt Sinai nurses, and had subsequent 5x/wk physicaltherapy x 2 months .The care I received was extraordinary at every level. I can't praise the competence and personal care enough.

I was just digging through some old boxes and I found the paperwork from when I had to make a visit to Monte Sinai hospital when I got sick in Cuenca back in 2017. It brought back the memories of the amazing treatment I received there. I got insanely sick while visiting Ecuador. Before I got to the hospital, I thought I was going to meet my demise and I was saying my prayers. Thank goodness to the wonderful doctors and staff at this place because they took great care of me. I didn't get to see the entire hospital, but from what I saw from my point of view, they seemed to have pretty much everything there that you would find at a regular United States hospital. Plus, all the doctor's I saw there spoke English too. The experience also really opened my eyes to make me aware of how the statesides hospital rip Americans off. I don't know if their prices have changed since then, but my entire cost with testing and treatments and medication was right around $100. No you did not read that wrong, ONLY about one hundred dollars USD. Another way Ecuador helped me to realize that the United States is good at taking advantage of their citizens, is that when you go into the pharmacies there, the medication is a fraction of the price in the United States and many of them you do not even need a prescription for. Well I just thought I would share my experience for whoever wanted to read a real review on this place.

There is only one internationally rated hospital in Ecuador and it is in Quito. After 10 days in this hospital, they are decades away from being accredited. They do not have a lot of basic equipment. Suffice it to say… it took 5 days just to find me a washcloth. Had to stay an extra 3 days due to their neglect. Ecuadorian health care is ranked 101 in the world. U.S. is ranked 32. You chose.

Hands down, one of the best hospitals I've ever been to. Within minutes of bringing my dad here, the entire team was assisting him with his high blood pressure and symptoms of a stroke. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It's important to keep in mind that this is a private hospital, so if you don't have insurance, they will ask you to deposit a certain amount of money into the account. Make sure to mention that you are self-pay. So they can bundle everything up into one packet. I was so impressed with the ability to be able to just walk down to the administrative office and ask what my balance was and get that information within seconds. It is worth every single penny they charge.

I was a patient her for 2 nights and it had truly been one a the better experiences of being at a hospital ever. Staff was attentive, cleanliness was amazing and the over all experience with my surgeon was amazing! Highly recommend! Coming from the USA, this is like being at a 5 star hotel!

I did not get to take the consultation that was already scheduled, they asked me to reschedule and I was no longer able to attend, the prices are affordable, at least for what I was asking for in terms of gynecology. The attention was via WhatsApp, I didn't like it at all. From the beginning I had already seen such terrible opinions that there are here about that clinic, but I base myself more on my own experience to leave a criticism, I cannot misjudge the medical care because I did not attend the consultation in the end, but the administrative care and service are bad, they take a long time to respond, nothing proper, they spell your name wrong and are inattentive. On March 23, I took my wife to her scheduled cesarean section, we arrived at the hospital and we waited for them to complete all the paperwork for more than 3 hours. After the surgery, my wife spent more than 6 hours recovering from anesthesia, the A nurse was terrible, my wife was in pain and she was asked to apply medication, which since it was shift change time, she did not give notice and the medication was given 1 hour after requesting it, payment was made to pediatrician Arturo Gonzalez and he I request an invoice for the fees, which to this day you have not sent me the receipt or invoice... I am tired of talking to you, sending you messages and nothing, and for that reason I cannot charge my insurance company for that expense, which It's a shame that a hospital ignores the request claiming that it is no longer their problem and it is directly with Dr. In my case I went through the GNP insurance and the amount they assigned me was insufficient and they even charged me for the air I breathed inside the hospital. Terrible facilities, the room we paid for without heating, the chair old and hard, the recliner broken... a 29-inch television located almost on the ceiling of the room. My husband recently had spinal fusion surgery at the hospital. There are so many great things about this hospital, but other things that need improvement. First of all, Cristina, in admissions is wonderful. She speaks perfect English (a huge bonus as my Spanish is basic) and she's extremely thorough and caring. The pre and post op care was also amazing. The hospital rooms are huge, with English TV stations and the accommodations are quite comfortable. Most of the staff (nurses, aides, etc...) are also very caring individuals. What didn't go so great is: (1) At check in we were given the rules of the hospital which requires a family member to be with the patient 24/7. This should be given in advance as we had to scramble to get a dog sitter. (2) Cristina, in admissions, asked us what we had been quoted for the procedure. This is something the hospital should already have, and in the end we were charged almost 23,000 pesos for the hospital's surcharge on the titanium metal used to fuse my husband's neck. Basically, the corkage fee for the metal to enter their hospital. We were not told about this by the doctor who gave us the quote. (3) Most of the nursing staff was great but some would let me husband's IV's run dry with alarms going off. This would cause them to come in and run saline solutions through the line which was a bit painful. When I'd go to see why the nurses had not responded to the IV alarms or our pushing the call buttons, they'd just be hanging around the nursing station. (4) Discharge was a traffic jam. The doctor said we could leave around 10:30 and that the bill was ready. I went to the nursing station to inquire and the sent me to the "caja" (cashier) downstairs who told me it wasn't ready yet so went back to the room and waited 2 hours until I finally went back to the nurses stations and requested someone who spoke English to come talk to me. After that, it finally got finished and delivered an hour later. All in all, a good hospital experience but if they are going to try and market to expats and wealthy individuals, there are many kinks in their system that they need to work out.

Very professional, clean hospital with caring nurses, doctors and entire staff. You don't feel like you are in a hospital in terms of decoration, environment and even the smell. I had an operation and was taken care of really perfect. Can not thank you guys enough. More than 5 ⭐. ( There are also many doctor offices on the upper floors which my doctors were too. My husband need to see another specialist so it was so convenient. The laboratory works perfect too. All in 1!)

Top class hospital with lots of doctor's offices upstairs. Plus there's a frozen yogurt place out front.
