The Institute of Experimental Cardiology of the Federal State Budgetary Institution National Medical Research Center of Cardiology of the Ministry of Health of Russia was established in 1981 on the basis of the Department of Myocardial Metabolism, formed in 1973 at the Research Institute of Cardiology.
