Hospital Universitario Dexeus is located in an exceptional point in the city of Barcelona, in the center of the so-called 'axis of knowledge' and where the financial, university and research sectors come together, thus reinforcing its pedagogical vocation. Also known as the 'Hospital of Knowledge', it is the center of reference in many of its specialties, being one of the first private university centers in all of Spain. The Hospital Universitari Dexeus de Barcelona offers first-class medical and surgical care in all specialties, including Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Traumatology and Paediatrics. The center has a solid team of more than 450 medical professionals and incorporates the latest functional and technological advances typical of the most cutting-edge medical centers. Currently, it has established itself as a profoundly human hospital, oriented towards the development of medicine, research and the training of postgraduates and applicants to the MIR. An example is the accreditation as a 'Child Friendly Hospital' , which the center received in 2002, being the first private hospital to obtain this certificate. A Spanish initiative promoted by UNICEF, which refers to the support, protection and promotion of breastfeeding. Every year, 49,000 hospital stays are registered at Hospital Universitari Dexeus, more than 85,000 emergencies are attended (about 230 daily), more than 10,000 surgeries are performed, more than 2,500 deliveries and some 50 clinical trials are carried out. In addition, the center has a MIR Program in Anesthesiology, Obstetrics/Gynecology and Traumatology/Orthopedics. In 2008, Hospital Universitario Dexeus was listed as one of the "Best Hospitals and Private Clinics in Spain" for the sixth time, after having won in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007 in the eighth edition of the Top 20 Hospitals Program: Benchmarks of excellence.

Here I am at this state of the arts hospital in Barcelona, the waiting room is something that one could expect in one of the many 4 to 5 start hotels scattered throughout this beautiful city!! Not forgetting the reason why we are here and it for the level of expertise, of the medical staff. Which sports some of the best medical doctors in Spain now mentioning Europe. Horrible! If you are pregnant, look for another place. My experience: 1. The doctor didn’t explain anything, only what I couldn’t eat. Didn’t ask anything about how I was feeling, if I had nausea, or anything. Didn’t ask if I was taking or had to take any medications due to other conditions. Didn’t say anything about exercising, she literally gives no recommendations on anything unless you ask, literally she didn’t even say anything about the supplements one is supposed to take, I had to ask! If this is like this on the first appointment I don’t want to imagine the rest. 2. You get an appointment at 10am and the day before you are given by an SMS 2 different a appointments, 1 at 10 and the other one at 11am without any previous notice and you are not even told the name of the doctor! 3. On the phone they said my insurance was accepted, when we got there it wasn’t because Dexeus Mujer is not the same as the hospital (they don’t tell you that on the phone) and we had to pay 225€!! 175€ of those for an eco which it’s not even printed !!!!! 4. Our 10am appointment started at 10:55am!! I can accept 20-30min of delay but not 1 hour for a really expensive service. 5. The nurse sees you with disdain if you talk to her in Spanish instead of Catalan! They praise themselves online of speaking so many languages that getting this kind of attitude for a really expensive service is unacceptable 6. You are not allowed to record on the eco because they do it for you in theory, but they didn’t because “it was too early” but they didn’t say that upfront, just after I asked and all the moment had finished Overall the experience was very poor and I am very disappointed of having had my first eco here, they made my experience quite sad. Won’t be coming back

Im calling all day to cancel an appointment with traumatology, no answer all day, it's been always like that i have to keep calling for hours maybe they pick up the phone, but today no one pick up the phone.
