Hospital Quirónsalud Torrevieja (formerly Hospital San Jaime), located in the north of the city of Torrevieja, is a private hospital of international prestige in the field of oncology, as well as in the rest of medical and surgical specialties, which attends to a high number of foreign patients, residents in the area or who expressly travel to our facilities.Since its opening in the year 2000, it has been consolidating itself as a multidisciplinary center of high quality care and hospitality, also becoming the private hospital with the best technology in the Valencian Community. The Hospital has a constructed surface area of 22,000m2 -distributed in two interconnected buildings.In addition, the center has, among other state-of-the-art facilities, a fully equipped Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation area. I did have some problems calling the switchboard some time ago and gave them a 1 rating but I have since discovered you can book the doctor appointments easily online - and I was trying to call on a Sunday. Since then I have used the emergency department (which is the first SHARP right hand turn as you enter the hospital grounds, it’s a fair bit along on your left) and had follow up appointments with 3 excellent doctors, my experience has been very positive, the treatment I have received has been top class and the doctors and staff have been fantastic. The process when you arrive at the hospital is very efficient you take a ticket (from one of 2 ticket dispensers at main reception as you enter the building (choose your language and what profession you require such as urology etc) wait for your number to be called on the TV screen and the receptionist will go through booking you in, then you receive another ticket with the room number for the doctor and they send you to the relevant doctors area where you wait until your ticket appears on the TV screen. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen, yesterday I arrived early and was seen 10 mins before my appointment time so it pays to be early sometimes. If like me you need a coffee the Cafe is very good and the coffee is excellent. The outside of the hospital is like one big car park with cars parked in every nook and cranny but I have always managed to find a space.

I quickly entered the emergency room and was well taken care of. up in the ward I was met by nurses who were very unpleasant. absolutely disgusting no empathy whatsoever. had just been admitted when an insurance guy was standing there trying to sell me insurance. fell over at night on the floor and got no help. totally ruthless. the doctor was in a hurry and had no answers. Do not go here - better with spanish hospitals for the public , avoid this hospital .

I went to the Hospital a couple of months ago. At the reception desk I felt a pleasant attitude towards myself as a client; the administrator Karina served me. Everything is prompt and attentive. I really enjoyed my visit to this Hospital.
