Created in 1970, Hospital Santa Rita de Cássia is a philanthropic entity recognized throughout the state as a reference in cancer treatment, but which also offers general specialties to provide quality and comfort to the entire population. This trajectory made it possible to live with different situations, the result of an overcoming that resulted in a wide range of experience when it comes to health in the State. The institution, a partner of services to the population via SUS, allocates more than 60% of health care services to this public, which has a safe institution, responsible and aware of its activities. It has as founder and maintainer the Women's Association of Education and Fight against Cancer – Afecc, a board of directors and a fiscal council, all volunteers who support, approve and evaluate the actions of the general management.
