Founded in 1999, Oncocentro was born with the purpose of offering an integral, welcoming and interdisciplinary service. Over the years, it has become a reference in Brazilian oncology medicine, working in the areas of clinical oncology, onco-hematology, focusing on early diagnosis, prevention and excellence in cancer treatment. Its bold infrastructure of 2,850m2 was planned and executed according to international standards that prioritize comfort, well-being, safety of procedures and humanized assistance. There are 25 offices, with the capacity to carry out more than seven thousand consultations per month; pharmacy with a monitored environment and strict quality control and process safety; 50 individual boxes that provide privacy and comfort and also have technologies designed for the quality of life of patients, such as Cryotherapy, a technique for cooling the scalp during chemotherapy sessions, to minimize the risk of hair loss. Oncocentro is formed by a highly qualified clinical staff with doctors from different specialties in the areas of oncology, hematology, cardiology, continued care, acupuncture, pain clinic, who work together with a multidisciplinary team of stomatology, physiotherapy, speech therapy, genetics, nutrition , psychology, social work. The clinic also offers a line of complementary care, such as yoga classes, acupuncture, reiki, art therapy, approaches that integrate the different dimensions (physical, psychological, social and spiritual) of patients and help them in search of their well-being.
